I just picked up this game myself, and haven't opened it yet. I tried out a demo of it from Game Stop a few weeks ago.

Nice picross of Phoenix too.

Nice picture of Maya's Magatama! It really looks exactly like it.

I'm still playing through some of the levels and exploring around the game myself. Hopefully I can get my Wi-Fi working again soon and try to get the pictures you made, Ergheiz Zero.

Well, there is a tutorial that explains how to play pretty well. I used to not know a thing about Picross puzzle, but I learned how to solve them quickly. The learning curve is extremely well rounded too, so you aren't overwhelmed from the beginning.

Essentially, you fill in squares to form a picture (Hence the name, Picross, which is a mush of Picture and Cross). You don't know what the image is, but as you fill in squares, you get a general idea of what the image is supposed to be. The game involves numbers, but there is no math done. Across the top and side, numbers tell you how many squares need to be filled per column or row.

For example, the numbers 4 3 and 1 would mean that in the row or column, 4 squares, then 3, then 1 must be filled, in that order, with at least one space between the groups.

It's more complicated then it sounds, really. Once you get the hang of it, Picross becomes pretty easy to understand.
