"That has to be right, but how could Bloom-san not see anyone go into the basement? Leaving would be one thing since the lights would be out and we're assuming the accomplice was covered in paint, but she apparently started her rounds at 2 and the basement started flooding around 1. There's no way someone waited around on those rickety stairs for a whole hour, so either they found a way to sneak by at 3, or..." Sayako trailed off, not wanting to finish that thought.

"That wasn't a paper wound..." Subaru fell silent for a moment, before clutching his sides, blushing and laughing madly. "Yes! Heavens yes! You idiots finally caught up to our lie!"

Subaru stopped to wipe his eye. "If it took you such a long time to even figure an obviously fake testimony, how do you expect to survive? But it's true, we are Ms. Shinda's killer!" After saying that, Subaru's blush flared. "She was our pawn, we used Monokuma's ultimate answer to brainwash her head with our ghosts to do our bidding. However, when she proved to be useless in killing Mr. Slezak, we disposed of her properly. After entering the room, Mr. Cognomen couldn't see us because we manipulated his vision with our phantoms, we stabbed that worthless execuse of a human being. We didn't expect her to struggle, hence the knife wound."

As he finished, Subaru gave a small smile. "Is that all you wanted to know?"

"It all started with Monokuma letting slip the ultimate answer to the ultimate question, the meaning to life. He chose the two people who would be most affected by it. Yes, the survivor and the one surrounded by ghosts. The question must've been along the lines of: death, death is the true meaning. The two of you were enamored by this concept, so decided to kill.

The two of you then came across Ryuji's letter, yes to meet up at 1:30 am with Alchie. You didn't know who sent it, so Karega was stationed at the art room. When she saw Jay arrive, she was confused, she wanted to recruit him. She didn't kill him and wound up stuffing Jay in the Kiln. Who knows, maybe she was planning on killing Subaru too, hence the trap in the basement.

3 am comes, and Subaru enters the basement and falls for Karega's trap… almost. His leg broke through one stair but that was it, he wasn't electrocuted. The dumbbells used to weigh the stair down crashed and broke the fusebox, turning off the power. Enraged, Subraru rushed off to the classroom where Karega was. She'd just come back from the gym too… poor soul. A quick scuffle and he wound up with a small cut, while Karega a knife to the chest. He must've had some paint on him ahead of time to prevent blood from recoiling.

Afterwards he left the classroom and ran into SiRReN and past Matt, and Charlie. He claimed to have 'sensed someone died'. Nonsense, he only knew that because he was the one who caused it. After a bit, he suggested to go meet up at the café an hour later. He arrived a little earlier than SiRReN (according to Matt), enough time to wash off that paint unsuspected. After that all he needed was some fake testimonies and to lock the door so Van would have to break it down.

Isn't that right. The only person who could've done this was the one with cuts and bruises, and was there in the hallway at the time. The SHSL Paranormal Investigator, Subaru Musashi!"
