((Thanks. I had a lot of fun writing that post pretending to be totally clueless with words. I think it shows the impact sudden changes can have on people.))

"C'mon guys, it'll be alright, um, fine... Look at it this way," Jay shouted, trying to rally the group, "Ah, we--that is, us as students, um--can adapt, right?" Having lost his ability to spin words in creative ways had also caused his public speaking ability to suffer. "I-I mean, we're here to learn, correct? And as long as we can learn from each other, then... hm. Where was I going with that?" While he hadn't lost his desire to keep going and never give up hope, the others could be forgiven for thinking otherwise, seeing Jay struggling to express his thoughts.

"Ryuji..." Jay muttered under his breath. He'd watched the man go from the top of the world to the bottom of... well, the world I guess... and gave him a sympathetic look. It seems Ryuji had taken it the hardest out of all of them. In that moment, Jay could only think about what this turn of events has done to the others. It was easy for Jay to rebound because, let's face it, not many people care about words the way Jay did and Jay knew that perfectly well going in. All this'd left Jay with was a little (well, a big) trouble finding the right words to use, but he had never seen himself as one for public speaking anyway. In fact, he was anxious to find out what new exciting knowledge he'd gained in return. Others... well, they'd lost their entire life's work and had another's shoved into the void instead. Round peg, not-round hole... oh right, square hole, that's the saying... it just doesn't work.

Cesar had been sweating and somewhat shaking after Monokuma's reveal about their talents, but he manged to calm down, his ability yo keep his composure apparently not being affected much by the recent change. "Swapping talents...messing with people's heads like this is obviously illegal...I think...is there even a law about something like that?" He shook his head. "A-anyway! We will obviously not kill someone for our talents just like that. We have other things that define us." He suddenly looked sad. "As important as our talents may have been in our lives... you still won't get away with this. The law will judge you when we get out of here, the witnesses we have here are enough for that...I think."

"N-no!" Ryuji said, still in disbelief. "T-this is something I can't accept, ever! I-I refuse to believe it, and it's not cause of my career!"

Ryuji sighed, still sitting on the stage, legs crossed.

"I-I refuse to accept this," Ryuji said again. "I-I'll get my talent back...I'll do whatever it takes...I just have to..."

Ryuji gave a soft and weak smile to Matt. "B-But you guys have a banquet to do, right..? Y-you should get going and plan that out, you guys deserve to have some fun."

Ryuji's hand was still stuffed in his pocket concealing the note. His hand moved briefly, in a somewhat impatient manner.

Maybe we should tell her that it's in the name of bonding and getting to know one another-- she'd probably like that. And, I mean, it's not a lie, either."

When he heard a muffled reply, he turned around to find the stack of books extending over the once-and-future matchmaker's head.

"Oh my gosh I'm SO sorry!" Arthur said, scrambling to take books off of Amachi's hands, setting them on a nearby wooden table. "I think I got carried away with the number of books I picked out! Eh... Are you, okay?"

Charlie had gotten up from the ground by now and was sitting at beach. She tried to smile, even though her face was still wet from all the crying. "There's nothing I can really do anyway, right?" She sighed heavily. "So all I can do now is accept it." Another sigh. "At least, I can pick flowers now without getting headaches... maybe use perfume and makeup... Not that it would mean anything to me... I can finally find out what normal people love so much about cake and chocolate and all that sweet stuff..."

She stood up. "Maybe I should start with grabbing a sandwich with jam and a glass of orange juice at the cafe. Or maybe even coffee?" She shook her head as if this was an utterly ridiculous idea to her, then left through the door leading to the school. "I just hope I don't get lost on the way..."

I don't really have any experience with cooking, but it shouldn't turn out too bad if I follow the instructions carefully. And it'd be nice to have Monomi-sensei's cooperation, but... I guess we could always just cook anyway? I mean, this is important for building class unity, and there isn't a rule specifically saying cooking is forbidden, right?"

Jay had been glancing over a short story entitled, 'The Utterly Perfect Murder' about a man who decided to murder his childhood bully. The man went all the way to his nemesis' house. However, he ended up not being able to go through with it because the bully had become old and weak. All he could do was utter the actions he would have taken and walk away, leaving the bully shocked and frightened. Jay then realized after a couple minutes of thinking why it was called 'utterly' perfect and chuckled a bit, knowing all too well he would've realized it instantly with his talent.

He looked over his shoulder and noticed Arthur and Sayako hefting books on cooking. Rushing over, he inquired, "Cooking, huh? Oh, hello by the way. I don't see why Monomi-Sensei wouldn't help us cook up a few things as long as she supervised us. Um, I've... never tried cooking though. I'm... scared of burning myself, and..." he trailed off.

"Oh... huh... what?" Jay stammered in confusion. He then thought about it, trying to remember whether or not he'd helped SiRReN already. "Argh, this timeline stuff is so confusing. I... um, right. So is there anything else I can help with?" Turning to Matt, he said, "What...? Did I make a pun without meaning to? I thought I couldn't do puns anymore..."

Hearing Flo's voice, who must've been speaking telepathically, he zipped right back over to the library and responded, "Um, sure thing! Just give me a list and I'll search for them." He readied his magnifying monocle. He knew he was going to need it.

Charlie suddenly walked into the library. She seemed to be both exited and completely confused. "You're all here? I guess you still want to cook for the banquet, right? Are you still planning to make sweets? Cause...", she forced a smile, "I just ate a sandwich with jam, three glazed donuts, and masses of cookies, and it was all delicious!"

She sighed again. "Who am I kidding? I also drank four glasses of orange juice and it was great, but so what? I can't remember what my house smelled like, what I smell like, what S... screw it, it doesn't matter anyway. Can I help you in some way?"

Sakura wandered back to the beach with a pile of colourful items she'd found in the auditorium in her hands. At the moment the beach seemed the best they had in terms of a general meeting space, but it wasn't particularly well-suited to decorating. Come to think of it, it probably wasn't the best place for a banquet either. She frowned as she realised this, and then called out to the others in the area. "Hey! Maybe we should plan to hold the banquet in the auditorium? No sand to get in the food, and plus I can decorate that place easier!"

[We should probably do a timeskip to the banquet soon. Otherwise we'll just be stuck in a limbo of vaguely preparing it until someone's killed. Is everyone okay with that?]
