"This is so frustrating!" Jay couldn't help but shout after another long while of silence, "We're running out of time, but it feels like we've pretty much followed every lead, gathered every piece of evidence, answered all the questions we could... What are we missing? Barring someone lying about where they were, of course."

Jay thought about it for a minute, then realized something. Looking towards the Firefighter, Jay asked, "Van... why didn't you call off the plan all the way?" He could feel the stares of his classmates at the strange question, but he continued, "You... couldn't bring yourself to kill somebody after you saw Sayako, right? So you saved her, took her downstairs, and went back in. However, if you knew about what was going to cause the explosions, couldn't you have gone into each room and disabled the timers? You might have been too late for the computer lab, but you could've stopped the chemistry lab and time machine ones, right?"

"So, um, the c-culprit froze her and placed her in the body-swapping machine, left the gun by her, then got in themselves. They waited until Crimson was unfreezing - they could have used a low setting for this, so it would only take a minute - and then they activated the swap, before freezing their original body before Crimson could really react. Um, th-then they could later use the shrink bullet on the Anti Grav Chamber window..." She trailed off, not liking the concept of so directly implicating Alchie. "It's tough to just go and implicate anyone in this case, I agree," Jay responded, "However...
