Matt couldn't bring himself to say everything. He was crying rivers, his hands curled up into a fist so tightly that it was almost digging through his own skin. "W-Why.. Why w-w-would you.. " He started sobbing and uncontrollably crying soon after, covering his face with his palms.

"'Flawless victory,' huh?" Jay repeated, "What do you mean 'no longer possible?'" Arthur was using words in a way even Jay was unfamiliar with. "Was it ever possible in a game like this, where the rules are clearly designed to whittle us down one by one? Though I agree, we do need to keep moving forward."

Jay then turned once again to the Firefi--oh right, I shouldn't call him that anymore. Uh... the big scary guy? No... Dammit Jay, make him decide what he wants to be called so I don't look like an idiot! Anyway, Jay turned to Van and replied, "You're right. This isn't just your life though, it's all our lives. This is everything we've got. I value it all for what it's worth despite how 'ridiculous' I say it is." Matt came out of his room, but something seemed to be off about him. He looked tired and the area around his eyes was purple, as if he didn't sleep and cried rivers the entire night. It didn't seem like he was in any sort of good shape.

He headed for Door 2 shortly after with heavy steps, not bothering to meet up with anyone or wave his hand.

Unbeknownst to Matt, Ryuji had headed directly from the cafeteria to the second door before he had. Ryuji was standing on the intersection before deciding on whether to go to the beach or the auditorium.

Matt had gone to the beach as well, and seeing Ryuji sit on a particular chair seemed to have an effect on him, weirdly enough. His eyes had shot open, and in fact it had enough of an effect for him to push Ryuji off of the chair, as if he was trying to really harm him.

Looking at how Ryuji acted, it finally made Matt realize just how much of a shitty person he was being. He dropped his fists just then.

Tears started welling up in his eyes, as he stared at the ground. "I'm.. sorry.. I know I'm being a piece of shit.. Just leave me alone and go talk to the others.. They probably want you more than m-me." He started walking towards the radio tower, sobbing.
