Without another word, the girl slowly rose to her feet and, completely demoralized, left the room. She decided if nobody wanted her, she'd just leave. As she made it to the exit and pushed the door open, she was greeted by sunshine and sand. 'Oh perfect, the ocean . . .' she thought, and began to walk towards it.

Raymond walks back in the cafeteria after seeing quite the odd sight in the hall.

"...Anyone know what the heck is going on? Did I see things?"

Raymond then blinks a few times.

"Cluedo? I love that game!" He almost smiles and approaches Veronica.

Still alone in the Lounge, Damien got up to go to the washroom. Everyone seemed busy downstairs, anyway, so he had the entire floor to himself.

After staring out at the ocean for a few minutes, the outcast felt a bit calmer, though she was no closer to uncovering where she was, why she was here, why everyone hated her, and what caused her memory loss along with what memories she lost. Deciding to take a walk around the island, she came across a boathouse. Observing that the boats were chained up, she figured there must be a way to release them. She placed her hand over what looked to her like some kind of scanner, but an angry beep told her that she'd have no luck. Of course not.

Walking around the backside of the main building, the girl took a glimpse through the barred window at the others returning to their normal activities. She caught herself staring, lost in thought for a couple seconds, a morose expression returning to her face at the reminder of how alone she now was. The sound of talking emanated through the window as well, and the girl thought she caught the words 'insane crossdresser.' Were they talking about her again? But, the clothes she was wearing felt like they were made for her. She resigned that either they were referring to someone else--maybe the Mikael they were mentioning--or were just deliberately bullying her now behind her back. Turning and continuing to walk, she found nothing else of interest around the building.

The wandering woman found a separate building around the front of the main one. Approaching the entrance of it, she saw a nameplate reading 'Ultimate Haiku Author RC.' Similar to the room on the third floor, she remembered, meaning that these must be important places for something. She dared not enter the building though in case there was someone inside who would also be angry at her existence. Instead, she turned to face the entrance to the prison once again, wondering what her next course of action should be.

When Azu!Mikael walked to them, Aria took a few steps back, unable to believe she was seeing their late classmate, and then on a closer look realised that there was only one person it could be. She was about to say something along the lines Ohishi did, albeit less harshly, but then it seemed as if Mikael himself had no idea what he had done.

Rendered speechless and rooted to the spot, she watched in silence and only got her voice back when Mikael left the room. She was about to go after him- her?- but she remembered she still hadn't gotten the ice for Ohishi. Aria hurried to the storage, got a bucket, filled it halfway with ice from the cafeteria and placed it in front of Ohishi, along with a roll of tissue paper to wrap the ice in.

"I hope that is enough, Ms. Jinno!" She said before rushing out of the building. Seeing the Ultimate Doppelgänger in the distance, Aria walked towards her, quite unsure what to say.

Ohishi nodded her appreciation to Aria as she watched the latter hurry off for some reason; perhaps to check on Mikael? She wasn't sure if his crisis was an act put on to fit his depiction of Azurine or genuine, but it wasn't her concern either way. Besides, she had more pressing needs.

She slipped her foot out of her sandal and eased her heel into the ice, flinced briefly at the cold, then sighed serenely soon after.

The flawless tropical weather around the shunned girl stood in stark contrast to how the girl herself felt. While pondering this, she noticed someone walking towards her out of the corner of her eye. She recognized her from the cafeteria as one of the people who had stayed silent during the barrage of insults and disapprovals. She was walking towards her, which meant she wasn't trying to avoid her. Because of that realization, as the black-haired lady approached, the confused girl felt a slight warmth in her heart. A pang of recognition, maybe? Or perhaps everyone else felt so cold that this was just a welcome change? The confused girl opened her mouth, sure she should say something to the other lady, but drew a blank.

After closing her mouth again and thinking for a moment, she took a deep breath and finally stated, "I . . . don't know who you are, but I feel like I should be thanking you for hearing me out . . . No idea who I am . . . Found myself on the third floor . . . People ran away from me . . . I came down to the first floor and was about to leave when I heard a voice. People ran past me and seemed to ignore me, b-but I wanted to see if I'd learn what was going on. I-Instead, I see a marriage proposal, and a-afterwards . . . well y-you know the rest. I just want to kn-know why my appearance o-offends people so much; if I might have done something b-bad before I lost my memory. Then I can at least understand my p-place, and maybe do something about it. Until then, a-all I can say is, 'I'm sorry.' I just d-don't want people to h-hate me." By the end of the girl's explanation, her face was downcast and she couldn't bring herself to even look at the other person.

Aria felt a stab of pity by the end of the explanation - no, even more than that, she felt horrible for her silence (even though it was more out of shock) back then. Despite having thought over it while getting the ice - the main reason she wanted to do that first before leaving - and while walking out, Aria still hadn't figured out a way to explain things to the girl.

"I am Aria Hayes," she started with an introduction - the easiest part. "You... you should not thank me. It is my failure for not speaking to you right there in the cafeteria. But I suppose what you want me to tell you is what is going on now, mitram." She took in a deep breath, deciding to go right into the heart of the matter. "The reason people are being offended is because... you are right now dressed up as Azurine Dimentico, as well as speaking with her voice. Ms. Dimentico... was a classmate of ours. Was, as she passed away - or more accurately, was... executed - recently. I hope you understand... that it feels like you are disrespecting her memory, especially to those who knew her personally, though I am sure you did not mean to do such a thing."

Aria twirled a tress of hair around her finger, wondering how to explain the part that preceded that. "I say dressed up, because at the time we all met up until now... you were Mikael Stanza, the Ultimate Doppelgänger. I... am not sure what exactly happened, but apparently you have lost your memories with... um, your change. Perhaps this sparks something for you?"

The aqua-haired girl listened intently to the explanation, the words swirling around in her mind trying to find some portion of her memory to jog. That word Aria had used at the end of her first paragraph, mitram, wrapped around her heart and filled her with comfort. For some reason, that word was very important.

"Aria Hayes . . . mitram . . . Friend?" the girl realized, her head shooting up to a forward gaze, finally taking in Aria's appearance. Her cheeks began to flush, but no feeling of familiarity ever came and a look of sadness spread across her face instead. Aria's explanation continued, and the expression turned to one of shame and regret. "I-I was executed? How is that--No, she was executed and I took her place?" Her eyes widened and her pupils darted around as her hands shot up to cover her face. She began to weep, the worst thought possible occurring to her, "O-Oh no, oh no no no . . . P-Please tell me I'm wrong about this. Tell me I'm not the one who killed her and then replaced her to cover it up! I-I-I-" The girl--who now realized she was Mikael after all--felt herself falling forward, and caught herself against Aria, burying her face in Aria's shoulder. "W-Why!? Why can't I remember!? Is anyone else dead? Why are we all on a prison island? Why did I think it was a good idea to dress up as Azurine!? And on top of that, A-Azurine, how could I have done this to you!?" Mikael was reduced to a shivering, sobbing mess. Realizing how awkward it must be, she gently pushed away and added, "I'm sorry about that, Aria. You've been so helpful to me, and I'm positive you must've been a great friend of mine before, but all I've been able to repay you with is hysteria."

She was about to reply to the questions when Mikael caught her off guard. Stiffening at the unexpected contact, Aria's first instinct was to take a step back and break off, but she reined it in. Though she couldn't help feel a bit of relief when Mikael did that of her own accord. "You also need not apologise to me. Your reaction is only to be expected, with news like this," she said, attempting a reassuring smile. "And no, of course you did not kill Ms. Dimentico. Neither did you replace her to cover it up - that would not work, since all of us were present when... when she died. Like I said, I do not know what happened, but I believe you did not wish to cause any harm with your actions."

"Now, as to how we reached this situation..." Aria again had no clue whatsoever on how to proceed with that topic, and decided to just go with the facts. "Sixteen of us were here. We were to start at a prestigious academy called Hope's Peak, but we were kidnapped and put on this island by an unknown person, who controls a bear and a rabbit robot - with which they communicate with us. To escape from here, this person has given us only one option... to kill one of our fellow students and escape with the crime. Three murders have taken place so far, and both perpetrators have been caught and punished, through execution." She sighed. "I know it sounds rather impossible, but that is the reality we find ourselves in."

After Aria's further retellings, Mikael believed she understood, using the time to take a few deep breaths to calm down. "Can we start going back inside? I'm getting hot out here. Besides, you need to get back to . . . um, your friend in the cafeteria. I don't think I caught her name, but I hope she's alright." She began making her way towards the entrance of the building, gesturing for Aria to follow.

"'Impossible,' you say . . . I would have told you that finding out the appearance you thought was yours turned out to be one you stole from a recently-deceased friend was impossible if things were different," Mikael countered with a sigh, "Especially since it feels completely natural. I'd expect if I dressed up like someone else, then the clothes wouldn't fit right or I'd feel a wig over my old hair. Does this mean I'm some kind of shapeshifter?" She put her hand up under her hair just to make sure it wasn't just a well-fitting wig, and even tugged hard on it as if pulling one off, shutting her eyes tightly and grimacing as she felt the resistance and the pain. It seems it was rooted in place, overwriting the old hairdo entirely. "A 'perfect copy' in form and voice," she muttered with slight anguish, "But I assume the difference is plain as day when you compoare our personalities . . . and the fact that she's gone; killed by the one controlling those . . . robots? you mentioned, because I killed someone--sorry, I mean she killed someone?" Mikael still found it difficult to dissociate from the identity of the girl she'd apparently copied. "But if I didn't do this out of mockery--which, why would I?--Is it possible I just . . . messed up? I was witness to the execution, and was so traumatized that I . . . lost it for a bit? But at this rate, I don't think apologizing is going to be enough."

She sighed, deciding to change the subject. "Hope's Peak, Hope's Peak, Hope's Peak--AH! Nobody in the classroom, turning around to leave, a flash of light . . . then a very hazy scene . . . and then I'm here, on the third floor, this 'school year' already well in progress," She recounted, the phrase apparently having triggered some semblance of a memory. "Is there any place where I can learn more about where we are, and about my fellow classmates? Just names and pictures. Maybe that'll knock something loose, but if not, at least it'll remind me who everyone is again. Then I can concentrate on getting out of this form." It's not that Mikael resented the way she was--why would she? It was the one she thought she started with, after all. But something deep inside her told her that if it wasn't hers, she shouldn't be using it; she needed to find her own identity, not to mention the tastelessness of impersonating a dead friend.

Returning from the Washroom, Damien decided to head up to the third floor. With the constant nightmares everyone was facing every night, someone was soon to snap, he figured. May as well get a head start on the investigation by familiarising himself with the RCs up there.

Spoiler: Thursday Afternoon
“Hey everyone,” says Aria. She walks in with three bottles of clear liquid in hand. “I found some interesting things in the Biologist RC.”

“Hm, what is this now?” says Damien. He takes the bottle and examines it closely.

“Upupu,” Monokuma pops up. “So you finally found them huh. Those were for your your old friend Liza. They’re veerry special medicines.”

Monokuma splashes one on Yuma. He screams in agony. Acid burns.

Monokuma then forces the same one into Yuma’s mouth. The burns stop, Yuma collapses onto the ground, breathing heavily.

“Oh my,” gasps Maribelle, “what in heavens was that?”

“Ah,” Monokuma replies, “it’s the all in one cure-all. It can be used to kill and cure! If it gets inside you, it heals any and all injuries. If it gets anywhere else… Upupu, you’ll wind up like Yuma over there.”

“Pour some more on that fool!” Colin says. Monokuma responds by forcing the second medicine down his mouth.

“On your knees!” Monokuma says. Colin goes on his knees.

“That’s the suggestion-er!” he cheers. “Drink it and you’ll do the first thing someone one says without question! You also get diarrhea.”

Colin rushes to the bathroom. Monokuma takes the third medicine and pours some down Monomi’s throat. He also shakes the bottle and throws it in the air towards Cain. It turns into a gas and drifts to him. Both fall unconscious.

“That’s just sleep medicine.” Monokuma shrugs.

“But why, why must such things be brought to our attention?” says ‘Azurine’.

“Oh, right.” Monokuma brings out a huge paper fan. He smacks ‘Azurine’ around for a bit.

“H-huh, what happened,” says ‘Azurine’, now turning back to Mikael. “Wh-why am I dressed as Azurine?”

He goes off to get dressed into his normal self.

Spoiler: Friday Night
Veronica is sitting in her cell, crying. Raymond notices. He comes in to comfort her.

“Veronica,” he says, “what’s wrong?”
“It’s Giles,” says Veronica, looking up at Raymond.
“What about him? He’s a great cat.”
“H-he’s… dead!”
“What!” Raymond stands up. “Are you sure? Maybe he’s just hiding. Cat’s tend to do that, right?”

He gathers all the other students up at the cafeteria.

“Has anyone seen Giles?” he repeats. Veronica sits in the corner, sobbing.
“He’s DEAD,” she says. “Class trial. We need to hold a class trial for him. T-to avenge his death!”

The other students look at each other uneasily.

Ohishi asks: “The kitty has died? But you have not seen a corpse. How are you so sure?”

“B-because,” says Veronica, “He’s missed a meal today. He never misses a meal, it’s his favorite time of day!”

Veronica shouts into the camera: “MONOKUMA!”

He shows up, clasping his ears.

“Jeez, I can hear you just fine, no need to shout. What do you want?”

“A class trial!”

“H-huh? But a body hasn’t been discovered? Or do you mean for that cat of yours?”

Veronica nods. She points out to the beach, where the cylinder would usually show up.

“Very well then,” Monokuma sighs. “Everyone gather on the beach!”

After a short, half-hearted investigation, everybody but Aria gathers at the beach. Nobody could seem to find her. And with that, the third class trial begins. Giles was truly a wonderful cat. He never did much besides eat and sleep. But he never caused any harm either. Whoever killed him was...one of us!

"Welcome to the class trial. You're goal is to find out who killed Veronica's cat, Giles."

Everyone looks at him funny. Was this really happening?

"Err, whoever killed that fatty will be punished so... get talking. First topic of discussion is: alibis and investigations!"

Monokuma shrugs.

"Class trial's are only meant to happen when one student kills another. Since this isn't the case, this isn't a true class trial. So I won't bother Aria with it."

"Oh for the love of-" Mikael's initial anger was cut off by a sudden feeling of dread which left him shanking, "A-Aria . . . sakhī . . . p-please be alright . . ." Mikael, who had returned to their original form, was unable to think clearly in the Flautist's absence. She had been the only one to comfort them when they had their 'episode.' "L-Let's just get this over with," Mikael muttered, on the verge of tears, "Find poor Giles' killer, and t-try to move on . . ."

They're then hit with a sudden realization: "Wait, no, fuck! W-We need to end this trial as soon as possible!!!" Mikae screamed, "Aria could be out there dying, and the 'punishment' Giles' killer will receive is of no consequence! I-I vote for . . . uh . . . Colin!" Mikael slams the button on his podium.

Maribelle frowned at the implications of her thoughts.

"I-is it possible that Aria was the real victim of this crime and that her body is somehow unable to be found by us?" she asked uncertainly. "Monokuma, can ya at least confirm that, wherever she is, Aria is alive?"

"If someone murders and hides the body in a place no one uses, like Yuma's shower; a class trial will eventually begin even without a BDA."

"'Eventually'? Just how do you determine when this 'eventually' is?" Mikael asked, unamused.

"Fine, I shall confess!
The cat is gone due to me!
Place your votes post-haste!"

Her voice shook as she spoke her demands.

"W-Whatever you say! It doesn't matter who it is; we can deal with them later!" Mikael shouts, switching their vote to Ohishi.

"In the meantine," Mikael continued, slamming a fist on their podium in determination, "Let's hear what we all found!

I investigated the Prince RC with Yuma and Ohishi.

We found the poison in the sceptre's seal had been broken and hastily stuffed back in. There were instructions on how to use the poison written in tiny print.

That's the only thing that appeared to have been disturbed."

"Tits, if it is you, I'll never show you mercy, so I'll give you a chance to explain yourself." Threatened Yuma.

"I can confirm what the mimic clown said, and if anyone wants the instructions just ask for them."
