"An interesting theory. I'll have you know my eyes are scarred from several surgeries in an attempt to restore my sight, and Cain's eyes are scarred from his initial injury as well. So I'd hardly call that theory meaningful."

Suddenly, Simon slams his fist on the podium and shouts, "Damn it, Colin! Why?! You had so much potential! That's more than I had, and yet you threw it all away!"

Damien and put a finger to his forehead.

It all started with the celebration. Maribelle had baked a cake for us and left it out to cool. The killer saw this and took advantage of the situation. They first went to the Biologist RC and used a cure-all. They were blind, and this medicine cured their blindness. With this, they could read the instructions on how to activate the poison in the Prince RC. He did so, and mixed it in with some cake frosting, marking it blue.

What they didn't know of, was a trap. Maribelle and Raymond had taken precautions to prevent anyone from tampering with the cake. The killer stepped on a pressure plate, and an arrow flew at them! But it missed... it hit the wall instead. The killer then grabbed the arrow and tossed it into the incinerator. A sly attempt in misleading us.

The day of the party comes. The killer had their seeing-eye dog with them, to sell the illusion of their blindness. Everyone takes a piece of cake, the killer just having to make sure they don't eat the slice with blue frosting. And with that, the clock is ticking.

The killer goes back to the biologist RC and gets the cure-all again. This time, they pour it on their eyes, causing them to go blind. However, because of this they did not notice an intruder. Giles, the cat. He'd lapped up champagne at the party and had wandered in here. He brushed up against the blind killer, making him drop the cure-all in surprise. This made it go everywhere, on the poor cat, and the killer's own dog.

Giles dashed out of the room and must have hit his head on the incinerator. Long after the killer went back to do their own thing, Simon came up and started messing with the Doppelganger RC. He went out and saw the still body of Giles. He assumed the cat died and put him in the incinerator. In doing so, he was also burning the arrow the killer had left in there the other day. Giles manages to dash out and runs into Aria next. She stays in her RC and attempts to soothe the battered cat.

Hence, Veronica worries about her cat and orders for a trial to start. I can only imagine, Monokuma allowed this to happen as he knew about what the killer had done with the poison already. He lets the trial go along. As the time for poison to kick in approaches, Aria and Giles come back to explain everything. And then... the poison kicks in. It was Mikael, he was the unfortunate one who ate the poisoned piece.

This is everything that happened. Isn't that right, Colin Chamberlain!

An unfamiliar voice blares out from the small speaker, “Hello, I’m Mikael Stanza!” A slightly different voice can then be heard, “Greetings, Mikael Stanza here!” This goes on for a couple minutes as 27 unique voices in sequence recite nearly the same line: all introducing their fallen classmate. The last one of these is in the voice the students recognize as coming from Mikael themself when they all first met.

The recordings did not end there, however. In the next one, Mikael said, “Okay, change of plans.This is the only reliable way I have of keeping notes on what’s going on. I woke up on a mysterious island with fifteen others and some kind of robotic bear named Monokuma is forcing us to play some kind of murder game. I don’t personally believe it but I can’t help but be worried nonetheless. Thus, consider this my personal diary of sorts until I can get out of here.” A couple more brief recordings describe the next few days of daily living in the prison school.

A different voice draws everyone’s attention, “Yo, dudes! It’s Bud! Have you had that bodacious barbeque in my honor yet? Anyway, I hope you can reach my family and my constituents and tell ‘em all how much I appreciate ‘em, and how much I’d have loved to--Okay I can’t keep this up.” The recording ends there. “So, things are serious. Our friend Bud Lau was killed by Chisami Madezo. I . . . couldn’t bring myself to record something in Chisami’s voice. If someone else finds this, I’m sorry if that last recording seemed disrespectful. It was the only way I could come up with to remember one of my fallen friends.”

A couple more daily entries follow, then, “Breaking News! Monokuma delivered his next motive today: Hidden talents. But who would bother lying about their talent? ‘Several,’ according to Monokuma. More on this story as it develops.” An oddly humorous recording considering the situation. Another daily life entry played.

“Hey everyone, this is Rina Nova, the Ultimate Biologist. I love animals, but I love you all just as much. Please find my family and friends and tell them I wish them the best!” ”It’s . . . Liza. Elizabeth Frye, Ultimate Biologist. I don’t know what else to say except give my family and friends my regards. Keep on living. Also . . . remember to take your flu shots and please, wash your hands frequently.” The class knows the drill now, so they all expected what came next.

“R-Rina and Liza are . . . ” The recording of a distressed and emotional Mikael began, “Gone. Killed at the same time. Whoever did this . . . Thankfully I just finished getting their memorials recor-” The first part of the class trial chime can be heard as the recording cuts out.

“A-” The next recording begins with a choked up voice everyone recognizes, no doubt causing some cringes among the group. For the next few seconds, distant sobs can be heard. “Azurine Dimentico was the one who--no, ZuZu killed them. Azurine was just used, then thrown away. I-I can’t st-stop thinking about how t-tragic that is.” A belabored sigh emanates from the speaker before the old voice returns. “I-I’m sorry again. This is getting ridiculous. Th-The ‘stirrings’ are becoming more powerful every minute, and I fear it won’t be much longer until I can no longer stop myself . . . I hate this! F-For once in my life, I j-just want to be myself, dammit!” The class can hear angry footsteps and the sound of a cell door opening, followed seconds later by the sound of running, then noise, most likely caused by the voice recorder being picked up and disabled.

“H-Hello? Hello?” That voice again. The class infers that this recording came the day after Mikael dressed up as Azurine and seemed to lose their memory. “After investigating Mikael’s clothes--sorry, my clothes, I decided to listen to this all the way through. After realizing its importance to regaining my memory, I thought I’d keep it close just in case. Well, I just woke up after a really bad nightmare. I was a person I don’t remember ever being, b-but I can only assume that’s ‘normal’ for me . . . I don’t even know what to say. Whoever it was, it wasn’t the Mikael pictured in the handbook I found either. I don’t . . . get it. What happened to me? I can’t . . . I’m sorry, I can’t even bring myself to describe it.”

“Maribelle baked a delicious-looking cake, and I can’t wait to try some!” Said a voice which tried to sound excited, “But at the same time I . . . I can’t help but feel a bit reserved about it. I know these nightmares have me on edge, but I can’t help but feel there’s a reason Monokuma knocked my sense back into me. The hair on my head even turned back into a wig. Just more questions I’ll never have an answer to. Anyway, I’ll try to put it out of my mind, but tomorrow . . . somebody’s going to do it, I’m sure of it. I know this is cliché, but someone please keep this recorder close and deliver it to, Rhyme and Reason, my adopted mother and father respectively--Yes, I know. Please don’t laugh, they’re . . . free spirits, but they’re the only family I remember having. To the rest of you . . .
