“Huh? Her?” Rinea looks over at the bundle containing Abby’s head. “Why didn’t she say anything? Was she missing her head even back then?”
“I couldn’t tell you myself…” Kyle says, “Still, the boss was quite set on blowing up her house first…”
“It’s quite heartwrenching, really…” Otto says, gazing out the window. “She had just lost her family, and then she lost her life as well, all thanks to those two ruffians! And even worse, her death was absolutely meaningless…”
“At the very least,” Keri says, “…Perhaps now she will be joining them.”
“Oh, speaking of death,” Otto shouts, seemingly over his gloomy mood. “You’ll never guess who was next in line!”
After an uneasy silence, Urumi snaps, “J- Just get to the point.”
“It was Bryan and Jack!” Otto explains, “So, you guys have Alex to thank for the fact that your homes weren’t vaporized!”
“Hmph,” Jack says, trying to fight back tears. “I would have… g- gotten over it…”
“Well, I’m sure the couple in the apartment above you wouldn’t have gotten over it!” Otto says, “I’ve heard they just had twins!”
The room falls silent.
