At Annabelle's suggestion, she tilted her head in thought. "Hmm, a definite possibility. Though it would also imply that the COD was not the storage containers, and that the containers were used to crush her corpse post-mortem to hide her true cause of death. In that case, perhaps it would have to do with where she was killed? It could not have been due to the kitchen fire though, as I did not happen upon any burns on the body."

"Ah, if the containers were intentionally used to crush the body, that could explain why only some of them fell over! It must have been sabotage." she seemed pretty pleased with herself, but right after saying that she hung her head low. "I guess this means that abhorrent machine isn't the killer after all then..."
Somehow, she still didn't seem fully convinced.

[Minor detail that I misremembered but it was the middle strut that came cleanly off, so that was probably the one removed by the killer. Which seems to solve the issue of the killer being able to remove the strut without the container tipping]

"Mind if i give my thoughts on what I think happened? I think sometime before the crash Siri had been knocked out by the killer, perhaps the pillows were used to suffocate her her in her room, makes sence since even the crash didnt wake hoshiko up, maybe she had been drugged. afterwards siri was dragged through the vents to the storage area, my guess is sometime after getting there the crash happened. the container fell and crushed part of her, perhaps the killer saw this as an idea to cover up any signs of a struggle and prepaired the crate to fall, from there escaped. thats what i think happened, feel free to tell me anything that might not match up or something, this isnt exactly my forte afterall."
