- The Nexus allows for communication between two points in time, but only for a few minutes at most.
- The Nexus communicates between a large mirror in the temple and a small handheld artefact kept in the waterfall base.
- The Nexus was only used once. (Limitations to the device prove this.)
- The "past" time point was a little before 14:30. Everyone lost their memories of the previous 15 minutes as a result.
- The "future" time point is unknown, and could be anywhere from just a second into the future to a full day.

She got some bandages for her head. Lots of them. She really covered that wound up, along with a wide circle around her head, at forehead height.
They were even wrapped around her mask instead of underneath, for extra safety.
"I suppose the memory loss isn't from my wound? Did everyone else also have that dream with the hamsters and the birds?"

"At like, 14:15, I was walking with Honda and Rose across the bridge. I was trying to tell them a story, but then I fell off the bridge," she mentioned while tapping her cheek with her index finger.
"Anyway, I don't remember, well anything until about 15 minutes later at 14:30 when Honda was screaming about the shitload of dead snakes around us. Honda didn't have his cape and we were both soaked up to our waists. And no, not soaked like that.
"For the investigation, I was with Althea, Evelyn, and," she groaned, "Marshall, too. We went to the bridge to cross the river, at which point Althea started screaming about blood, pointing at one of the rocks down below that happened to have a patch of blood on it. Funnily enough, it was pretty close to where I fell earlier. Yet, I don't have a scratch on me.
"We moved on to the clearing, where the transmitter that keeps the animals in check was. It seemed to be in good condition. Behind the transmitter, Marshall found a small mark on the ground, which looked like snake tracks. Though, I personally think maybe a wire or cable of some sort was on the dirt, since it goes off the cliff. I highly doubt a snake has the capacity to commit suicide.
"That was all of interest that we found, go nuts," she said dismissively.

"For starters, my alibi - or lack thereof. Nicos, Marshall, Evelyn, and I found a game of Clue in one of the rooms in the temple...or, I guess it was the British version, but that's probably not important. Anyway, we sit down to play a round or two, but then our memories blanked. We found the board again later, and I don't think we finished the game.
"After that I came to my senses in the clearing by the river, near animal signalling thing. Nicos had his sword drawn, Marshall had some repair tools, and I was holding a broken antenna. After a little bit of tryin' to figure out what the hell was going on, we heard Eve's announcement and decided to split."
Eli opened his holographic screen and started looking over notes. "As for the investigation, I checked out the temple with Honda and the twins. We started just outside the Nexus room, which seems to have been the scene of whatever crime took place. Honda sprung the boulder trap, but nothing came out of the opening and we found the boulder at the end of the hallway, so it must have been triggered before. Then we spotted what seemed to be the trigger for the spike trap on the wall...but weirdly enough, it was way too dusty to have even been touched. So I guess the trap was activated some other way. Finally, I took a look at the trail of blood leading out of the room. Except, judging by the pattern, I'm pretty sure the blood came from someone going into the room, not out.
"Next we checked out the snake pit and found its pressure plate on the floor. The snakes were dead, as we saw earlier. But then someone hit an arrow trap that nearly killed Nana, which got me thinkin' about the mechanism for all these traps. We decided to take out the bricks on the wall and found a network of cavities inside. But they were way too small for any of us to crawl in.
"Finally, we headed to the research lab. Inside, we found Honda's cape strung up like a stretcher. It was bloody and torn, like it had help up a huge weight. A large cloth was missing, and two of these metal poles they had on the wall. And we also looked at the communications terminal on the computers. We didn't find much though; the data was wiped just like our memories. We did see a message from Hoshiko tellin' people to come to the base. It looked like someone else definitely used the terminal from that end too, but there weren't any fingerprints on the keyboard. They must've been wearing gloves.
"Anyway, that's all," Eli said, sighing. "Hopefully we can piece together what all went on here..."

"I can't remember anything between 14:15 and 14:30. After that I remember I was in the treehouse with Nana where I found a monkey holding Sonia!" She hugged her doll.
"As for the investigation, Taylor, Kyoya, Nicos, and I went to investigate the lake. We found some medical supplies in Taylor's backpack, but that was it. And all we found at the lake was a really long vine with one end tied to a rock. After that, we checked the room behind the waterfall. There weren't any records in the terminals between the time we lost our memories. We also figured that the backpack and medical supplies came from that room as well.
"We checked the bedrooms after that. We saw Althea had some knockout gas with her. Kyoya also told us one of his RC cars is missing. And there was some fur and scratch marks in one of the other rooms, like a monkey had been in there." She tightly gripped her doll, suddenly seeming a little angry.
"Anyways, that's it I think. Unless I missed something."

Realizing how far away she is, he freezes.
"I'll pass on the heroin or whatever," he mutters apologetically, "I'm fine."
Hearing Taylor, he instinctively retracts his arms backwards. He blushes as if ashamed for a second.
"Well look at yours, what am I supposed to think when I look at mine, dude?!" Marshall blurts defensively. "Oh, why the hell did I just say that?" he groans, covering his face.
He looks at Skylar, a couple of stray tears appearing, "Oh like you're one to talk!"

Then she looked to address everyone, but she squirmed, as if she were uncomfortable. "Just like the rest of you, I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I remember talking to Nana in the tree houses about... something? I don't..." she shook her head, "Anyway, next thing I know, I'm back at the terminal at the Alabaster base, at the com terminal. I heard Eve's announcement, but I didn't leave right away. Iiiiiiiihyyeh..."
She put up a hand to cover her yawn. "I wanted to take a look around the base just to see who was there with me, but I didn't hear anyone else. I thought that was pretty weird, so I started to look around, got to the bedrooms and I found..."
She shot a slightly uncomfortable glance at Althea, then at Kyoya. "...Look, I mean, no judgement or anything-- do what you like and all, but I have to just say it-- Kyoya and Althea were in his bedroom, asleep. Or... unconscious, I guess."

The minstrel cleared his throat before continuing. "Before all of this happened, I was with Skylar and Rose. My memory at the time felt a bit fuzzy for some reason. We were on the bridge, and Skylar was telling us a story. She then lost her balance and was about to fall! But I don't remember what happened next... If Skylar actually did fall, I don't remember it. Anyways, I think it was around 2:15 when this all happened. Sorry that I couldn't remember more..."
"The next thing I remember was waking up in that hellish snake pit with Skylar. Why'd it have to be snakes?" He shuddered. "Anyways, I might have let out a scream when I realized where we were. The two of us then heard Eve's announcement, but we couldn't seem to get out of the pit, so we waited. It was around that time I realized I was missing my cape, and that Skylar and I were soaked up to our waists. I don't know how that happened..."
"As for the investigation, Eli did an excellent job summing it up, but I'd like to add a few things. I don't think they'll be of much use, but you never know." He began. "The arrow that almost hit Nana was my fault." Honda said, sheepishly. "I stepped on a pressure plate which triggered it. I really am very sorry about that Nana. I'm glad you're alright. We also visited that middle room, but the only thing of interest there was that game of Cluedo, which Eli said he was playing earlier. And I think that's about everything. Hopefully this will be helpful."
