Belphegor shows a photo to them, presumably the one which Brandy saw, and indeed the ball in chain is in the photo and indeed locked around Benjamin's right ankle.

"Alright then, let's think. The current topic is still what happened at 12:20, which we've yet to figure out due to the confusion of who could possibly be where," Seb said. "We saw someone, not a clone, being dragged off-screen at 12:20, then Brandy knocked them out. However two non-clones were seen at 12:30, still conscious. Therefore those two non-clones, Matt and Benjamin, had to have been down in the torture room at 12:20. Or, I guess, one of them could have been up in the liquor room having a drink, we know someone did. Either way, that means Klifford has to have been the one who was unconscious in the pachinko room, and he also has to have been dragged without someone being in the room with him. Therefore... I guess he was being dragged by a rope of some kind? The wire found in the torture room, perhaps?" Seb concluded uncertainly. "The hole in the elevator floor means that someone could, potentially, pull the rope from the floor below and drag Klifford that way. I can't at all imagine what that would even achieve though.

"The main issue with this theory that I can see is that it doesn't explain why the picture from 12:30 looked 'off'. The two things may be unrelated, but, it seems reasonably likely that there's a connection of some kind. Knowing what's wrong with the 12:30 picture may also help explain what happened before at 12:20. For example... maybe one of either Matt or Benjamin was unconscious in the picture, and had just been made to look like they were awake and talking? I can think of even less reason to do that than the rope-dragging idea though, it's just an example really."

"Well, currently... I think Matt had at least some alcohol, but they clearly didn't try to complete that challenge and moved onto the others. If my earlier logic was anywhere close to correct, Klifford did the pachinko challenge and was then knocked out. No-one could actually attempt the torture challenge until 12:55 though, as Daniel knocked them out at 12:40. At that point Klifford was awake again, so could in theory have been the one torturing Benjamin, though it sounds like only one person did each challenge."

Though I'd have thought Matt was too used to alcohol for just a drink or two to leave him like that.

"Him being exhausted is easily explained by him losing blood to the pachinko machine. The only issue with that is, how does that line up with the knockout gas being used at 12:20, and Matt being seen conscious at 12:30?"

"I don't know for sure how it ended up where it did, but, it looks to me as though it was crushed under the elevator. What else could compress it so thin? I think, perhaps, that would also explain why there was a single hand intact: that was the part of the body that just so happened to fit through the hole cut into the elevator floor when it crushed down.

Brandy thought for a moment, trying to connect some dots while her player was plastered. "Okay, let me think. If Daniel couldn't immediately identify the person in his 12:20 picture, n' the person in my 12:20 picture wasn't Benjamin, then I'm gonna guess we can place Benjamin as the one draggin' the person outta my 12:20 photo. It logically follows that, by usin' his ball n' chain as an identifyin' feature, then the absence of it removes 'im from any scene n' places him elsewhere. But... that creates a problem, since I saw him n' Matt talkin' at 12:30 when he should've been knocked out on account o' me pressin' the button. However, Belphy only specified that the Matt in my 12:30 picture was real, meanin' that it's possible I knocked out a clone o' someone instructed to carry out the simple task of takin' that body outta the frame. That's the only way to explain Benjamin n' Matt talkin' at 12:30, I think, since I think even Matt would be able to tell a clone apart from the real Benjamin... unless the Benjamin at 12:30 I saw was in fact a clone... In which case, uh, oops? I don't really know..."

All that remains is figuring out how the body was crushed, exactly: where it would have been and how it got there; and then also figuring out how it got teleported if it wasn't actually inside the elevator where the circle is.

"One way they could get someone underneath the elevator is by first shrinking them, which might be what the circle in the elevator was for, and then dropping them down the small hole cut into the floor," Seb suggested. "Then crushing them would be a simple matter. However it wouldn't explain how they were teleported back to the pachinko room. It sounds to me as though they drew a circle onto the floor of the elevator shaft, or possibly onto the underside of the elevator, which by all rights should be impossible due to the doors always being shut."

"That... would actually make some sense," Seb agreed hesitantly. "That lines up with something else he did: he intentionally recorded that conversation between him and Matt. There was no need to do that other than to allow us to listen to it afterwards, perhaps for this very reason.

"Alternatively, maybe there was a mirror hung up on the wall, hanging from the screw? That way the camera would take a mirrored picture of the scene, but because the background is symmetrical Brandy wouldn't normally notice. Then later the mirror was removed, leaving Brandy just staring at the wall with the screw in it."
