"...Mmpf?" There was a noise coming from the floor. It seemed that Hazel had regained consciousness.

"What happened..?" She seemed confused as to why she was laying on the floor. Thanks JM >:(

"Is it really worth saying anything?" Anna puts a finger to her chin. "If you ally you're basically tossing all your wins away..."

"Conversely, the less people ally, the less money actually available for anyone to make," Wesley pointed out. "Every person who chooses to betray over allying reduces the overall pot by $160,000. If four people betray and only one allies, then the traitors only get $40,000 each - that's even less than they'd make by simply choosing the first option, the guaranteed no-frills $50,000.

"...This is such a dire, miserable game compared to the last few," he added downheartedly. "We will be our own undoing, and as a result no-one will make very much money at all. Everything else in the pot will simply go to waste."

Anna sighs, but can robots sigh? It's more of just the motion. "This sucks!"

WOOOO!

Maximillion cheered doing another spin on the spot, scarf swirling madly “What a magnificently wondrous win for the Wonderland and Wesley collaboration!” He struck a pose before boogieing gently on the spot.

He stopped and threw his arms out at his side emulating a shiver running through one arm to the end of the other which ended in a clenched fist pointed at Wesley.

Waiting there.

Held out pleadingly.

A look of utter faith in Maximillion’s eyes as he holds his fist out before Wesley.

She then looks at Vivienne and looks a bit saddened.

Wesley blinked in surprise, still lost in his recent bout of misery. With a small sigh he strolled over and bumped fists with Maximillion. "Here's to our victory... if you can really call this winning."

“I’m doing well enough already, and I thought it’d be a shame if the entire $800,000 went to waste,” Astrid shrugged. “A ‘thank you’ would be appreciated,” she said playfully(?) to Max.

Maximillion’s grin widened as Wesley activated his trap card bumped fists with him.

“Take heart Wesley, old boy! I’m sure things will soon perk up. I mean look! Even Hazel is coming around. Wins for all!”

He laughed heartily throwing his head back with joy as he took a breath.

In a moment his warmth disappeared as he gave Astrid a sideways look, his smile cold and mirthless “If that’s true, then you will get no thanks from me. I can’t abide those who won’t compete truest to their hearts content. Don’t you have goals that are important to you? Shouldn’t you strive to see them fully fulfilled?” He tutted and shook his head before revving up his enthusiasm engine again.

“But the past is the past! Let us tend to our torn souls and traverse to the next trial!” He said brightly before striding over to see if Luka was any closer to breaking out of his existential funk.

“Hmph. I hadn’t even noticed I received the most votes in that last round,” Vivienne remarked, running a hand through her hair. “I suppose I can’t blame anyone for wanting to know more about me.”

“I hope you all are satisfied.” She added with a smile.

“They weren’t at the wedding either? How disappointing. Still, I’m not surprised,” Vivienne said, “In all honesty, I would have loved to intend the funeral, but our parents made it quite clear I was not welcome there. I had no choice but to mourn her in solitude.”

“In any case, don’t be so hard on yourself, Mr. Naught,” Vivienne said, turning away from the group. “I’m sure if my sister was here...she’d tell you her true friends and family were those who never abandoned her...At the very least, you seem to have really cared.”

The nine players search the house for a while, but as it turns out, there is stunningly few places left that they haven't already thoroughly explored. The only places which seem to be sealed off are Anna's room and the white door upstairs. Both doors are sealed and seem to have no way to open them.

Seeing that there is no longer any way into either room, the group decides to head outside. Perhaps the forest is a part of the game after all?

It is now thoroughly past noon. The day of the tournament has been thoroughly tiring, and as they step out into the brisk air, chills run through them. The ghosts of the past are certainly here.

The path leads away from the little grey house and runs through the woods which are at the back of the home. The path is thoroughly covered in sticks and leaves. It seems it has been walked down extremely rarely. All the same, it's distinct, like someone has come this way long ago.

Seeing no other clear option available, the group decides to go down the path in order to find something of interest...

Spoiler: "Clearing"
A light shines down on a field of grass. In the middle of the field, nine chairs chairs have been set up in two columns.

At the front of the chairs is a wedding arch covered in pink roses.

To the far side of the field, a greenish machine can be seen, rusted from the rain. It's a big piece of farm equipment, which seems to be very, very old, like a hollow husk.

A few feet in front of it is a sign which has been placed there, "30 years ago, one man watched the other die in this spot. The tragedy lives on in our hearts. - Zero"

[This is more or less a room phase, but it should not last very long.]

Wesley seemed very apprehensive going down the path. Once in the clearing he remained silent, eyes locked on the creepy farm equipment.

Maximillion clapped his hands together in delight seemingly not noticing the macabre farming equipment in the corner as he traipsed around the wedding arch “Oh how wonderful! I do hope the next game is wedding themed! It would be so fun to play Brides and Grooms.” He trilled as he examined the arch.

Hanging behind the archway are many finely-pressed suits and gorgeous dresses. They seem to be rather new.

Next to them is a note:

Spoiler: Round 5: Rows
Long ago, someone important to several of the players here disappeared.

Divide into three groups. The division between the first two groups will be that group A shall have all those who were close friends with Jason Church at some point, and group B shall be those who bitterly hate Jason Church.

People who were never friends with Jason should join group C.

You must publicly join group A or B or C at the start of the game.

At the end of dividing up, the players will be told how many people are in the wrong category.

Afterwards, you may try to find those who lied.

All players must publicly list which other players they think are in the wrong place. If a five people agree that someone is in the wrong place, they will be moved.

Anyone who lied at the start of the game will earn money only if they are still in the wrong category. $500,000 will be divided among the successful liars evenly.

Anyone who told the truth at the start of the game will earn cash based on how many people are in their right place. If all nine are in the right spot. Truth tellers will earn $300,000. If eight are, truth tellers earn $200,000. If seven are, truth tellers earn $100,000. Otherwise, they each earn nothing.

Good luck!

"This place is really creepy. Is this actually even meant to be a game?"

Anna shakes her head. "Well- maybe. I don't really get what this is all about. I've got no idea who this Jason person is, so I'm joining group C!" Anna declares.

“I’ve never heard of this fellow before in my life either,” Vivienne said, sulking in the shade of her parasol. “Would anyone mind explaining who Mr. Church even is, and why anyone would care enough to hold such distaste for him? He seems to have just been some high schooler who wrote gloomy poems and disappeared.”

Anna suddenly holds a hand to her forehead and closes her eyes with a light hiss, as if in a sudden bout of pain.

"I'm confused... I think I remember this place, but I don't know why, or what it is... It feels like I'm on the brink of remembering something..."

"I have no idea who half of the people here are. How am I supposed to know what their relationship to Jason is?"

Stella clicked her tongue. "So this game is meant to be 'therapy', but from what I'm gathering from this and the third round, sharing any information just puts you at a disadvantage when it comes to actually winning. In that case, I don't see why I should say anything from here on out. I certainly didn't come here for therapy."

Wesley stared at the suits and dresses with a disturbed expression. He was clearly shaken by the whole affair, and had to snap himself out of it as people began talking around him.

"I'm... I'm group B, yes," he said in a strange voice. "I know there's potential benefit in lying, but this... I can't deny this, I can't pretend otherwise."

He then turned to address Stella. "I'm not sure you have much choice, here at least. You have to declare your place publicly. You could lie, but, anyone who knows you well enough would be able to catch you out, and then you end up with nothing. Besides, can you really look me in the eye and claim you're not haunted by shadows from your past? I rather gather we all are."

"I think... this is where I got married?" Anna puts a hand in front of her mouth, focused on thinking. "No, this doesn't look like the place. But it's... really similiar. Why, though...?"

Ember held one of the dresses and stared at it with a distant expression. She only snapped out of it when people started declaring groups. "I'm group C. And Anna, this is very likely not where you got married. You can trust me on this one."

Luka eyed Wesley uneasily, arms crossed tightly as if he were cold. “No benefit in lying? That wasn’t your tune when I asked you about him earlier.”

He didn’t seem too interested in prying further, at least for now. Instead he silently joined Stella and Hazel.

Maximillion whistled a merry time as he strode proudly into group C.

“This Jason fellow is unknown to me.
No doubt about it, I belong in group C.” He sang examining suits.

“And didn’t I tell you Stella? After the quiz round it became clear that sharing information would only lead to further disadvantage down the line.” He nodded in agreement.
