With a flourish Maximillion threw out his arm extending his wrist beyond his sleeve "Well behold my score though know that as a professional Gamer I have been holding back my potential to keep this sporting!" With a roar of relish he held his bracelet out in front of him and clicked in both buttons.

“Think again,” Astrid said as she clicked the button on her bracelet, revealing $483,000. She had tried to keep her voice and expression level, but she wasn’t able to fully hide her satisfaction. (Was it at being in the lead, or just for one-upping Max?)

“We’ll assume Luka has $600,000. That’s definitely more than he should have had, and this way, even if he was lying about giving up half his money, he shouldn’t cross the million dollar threshold.”

Maximillion gasped and threw his arms up to protect himself as he was nearly blown back by the dynamic force of Astrid's success. He staggered back, hair suddenly askew.

"Hey Astrid, your talent is exceptional. I see now you were truly holding back when you chose to ally back then." He panted, seemingly breathless from the shock.

Straightening up Maximillion patted his scarf back back into place and ran a hand back across his hair to fix it back into position.

"Ha! Truly you are a worthy foe! I can only aspire to ascend to match your amazing awe-inspiring ability."

He raised his hands and applauded Astrid looking at her with a newfound mix of admiration and pride.

The group goes down the hallway to the only one of the nine doors which hasn't opened: Anna's Room. They use the pink key to unlock the door and it clicks open.

Unlike the other starting rooms, this one is decorated. Each is plastered with pictures of Wesley Naught and Iris DuGrande. Laughing, smiling, hugging one another. There's posters, pictures from magazines, some are staged, some are taken from when they went out in public. The two of them look lifelike and carefree, and it's bittersweet seeing them knowing what happened. Not a hint of sadness can be found anywhere.

At the front of the small room is a computer. On the screen is a message:
