Max stood to the side during the whole thing with a rather guilty expression on his face. As things seem to clear up though, he brought over a towel from nearby and offered it to Devin. "Oh shit!" she takes out a handhold speaker box, which kind of looks like a walkie-talkie. "Does this still work, then?"

She clicks the button on the side, "Hey, is this still working, buddy?"

With exasperation she shouts, "FUCK!"

"I was thinking, would you guys be interested in writing letters to home with me? I was kinda keeping my wife and kid on the down-low because, well, you know, this situation is all fucked up and I don't know what makes me a target and what doesn't. But, now I just wanna be able to talk to them and maybe we could all do that together? Does that sound like something...? Or is that too depressing?"

Devin shrugs, takes a plate of food and heads over to the prop closet. She gets some crayons and paper and all sorts of glittery supplies.

She sits at the table, eating away. She's very skilled and, using a pair of scissors, she saws through a bunch of pages and begins gluing scraps together. It seems like her project is rather ambitions, but she doesn't show signs of stopping even after the net of paper scraps begins reaching the floor.

He comes back with some colorful thick paper, sitting down at the table and writing on it as he eats some of the quite large amount of food he's reserved for himself.

"Letters? Pshaw!" Max shook his head, going over to one of the cameras. "I've got a far more efficient idea than that!" He put his face close to the camera and started very unsubtly whispering into it. Not a very tech-savvy guy, it seemed. Anyone viewing the show from back home could tell he was murmuring something to his daughter about staying safe and "keeping the ol' place open" while he was gone. He ended by kissing the camera, which was not only sort of gross and unhygienic but he didn't even seem to notice. "Right, well, that's that", he declared, getting up and dusting himself off.

Luke finishes his food and grins, heading out to the prop closet once again, where he gets to work.

He comes out with a colorful letter made from orange and blue cardboard, with a few sentences written on it in big, blocky, capital black letters. It's adorned by a red ribbon at the top. Pretty elaborate for a letter.

He eagerly walks up to the camera and holds it up for a few seconds, then drops it into one of his coat pockets and goes back to the table for seconds. Or thirds. Maybe fourths.

Devin closes her card. After completing it, it's about as thick as a dictionary and multicolored scraps stick out of it at every odd angle possible.

She starts writing out what appears to be lyrics onto a 3 by 5 note card.

"Adel, don't over-complicate things. If you've got people you appreciate and might not ever be able to see again, let them know how you feel. Just point blank. You can try to come up with something glittery afterwards."

A little later, Ramon returned. He was wearing a crooked red hat from the gift shop, though he looked disappointed. Presumably he'd been unable to find the 'certain spot' he was meant to take it to.
