“I don’t see what the problem is here,” Jenny said, “There’s only two people that knife could have gone into, and we checked Roxie’s body so it isn’t her. So logic naturally dictates it stabbed the killer, right? Are we meant to assume Deirdre was also at the scene for some reason? Did the killer ‘accidentally’ stab her?”

"I...No...Wait, I...This isn't fair!"

Woody puts his hand into his hands, sobbing loudly.

"She took her away from me...She took away my everything..."

The florist digs into his coat pocket, and picks up a folded piece of paper. He then unfolds it and caresses it, tears running down his face.

"The only reason I even came here..." He sniffles.

Woody turns the paper around, showing off the finished version of the drawing he was working on since the day after the first trial. It looked like an extremely detailed picture of someone very familiar... That elegant look in her chestnut eyes, those perfect lips, the way her fringe gracefully hovered over her forehead, that luscious head of silver hair...It was drawn by someone who must have studied his subject for an incredibly long time. At the bottom of the picture was a brief caption: "L.O.M.L: Deirdre Durand".

"When my parents went to go take care of my sick grandparents, they left me in charge of the shop." Woody explains. "But there was a voice in my head...it must have been the universe, telling me that this was finally gonna be my chance! I could do anything I wanted... Forget the shop, I was going to drive to the city, and for the first time. Would you believe it? I'd never even left my tiny town before in my life. I was only planning a day trip at first, but..."

The florist looks down at his drawing, caressing it once more.

"That's...that's when I saw her for the first time. It was a gosh darn lightning bolt. There I was walking down the street, doing heck all, when a literal goddess walked my way... She was the girl in the movies, the one in the songs. In that moment I knew that the universe had a plan for me. No, for us. So...I followed her. I followed her down the street... and then down the block...and long story short, I followed her to her house. I guess I ended up choosing her over going back home. I mean, what was I missing? It's not like I ever had friends, or a life, in Littleleaf of all places.."

Woody looks up and sways slowly, as if he were in a trance. "Golly, so many things I ended up learning about this angel sent from Heaven! She always had appointments with tutors three times, every day at the same times! Oh, and did you know that apparently her sister was the one who suggested she wear her hair like that? It used to be loose! Oh, and did you know that her sister named the cat "Caterpillar"! Every day I watched her and her life, and I knew we were connected...I feel like she could feel me too. One day I knew I was going to finally make the move for real, though. But things became hard when I found out I wasn't going to be able to see her for a while..."

He wipes a tear from his face. "That's because she was signing up for some weird T.V program that was going to take me away from her...I had to do something about it, and the only thing there was to do was, well...sign my own butt up! I thought if the universe accepted me into this show so that I could be with her, it would be the ultimate sign for me to finally make my move... Why do you guys think I showed up on the first day with a bouquet?" Woody chuckles, wiping a few more tears from his eyes.
