"Maybe it teleported..." Elisa wonders. "Or someone moved into that tile and THEN attacked!"
"Also, I didn't find any evidence, and I don't think I can find any this time around either! Wow, I sure suck as an investigative reporter. Thank God I didn't choose that career!" She comments, unhelpfully. "What I'm gonna do, though, is just move to the Funhouse with a random trap door that I found randomly. I'm hoping there's SOMETHING there --"

“The first one is a joke book.” She says, holding up a book that was titled ‘WHERE’S OLDTON? AND OTHER CLASSIC JOKES.’ “I have concluded that this is useless, and I will burn it.” Suddenly Velma takes out a box of matches, and sets the book down. I wonder where she got that from? She strikes the match, igniting it, and lights the book on fire. Of course, this being a virtual reality world would mean the actual book is perfectly safe, but seeing the book burn made her feel a bit better.
“The second piece of evidence is a video, and it is much more useful.” She somehow shows the others the video she obtained. The video shows some clowns giving a park visitor a wedgie. However in the distance, a figure could be seen carrying a spider. “As you can see, the spider looks pretty heavy. So I think it would have to be someone broad who carried it.”

As the conversation winds down, Fred approaches the mausoleum and turns around to address the others.
“Let’s split up, gang!” Skully shouts, leaping in front of him. “Ha, beat you to it! Now get out of here! I gotta do some redecorating!”
Everyone screams as they’re forcibly removed from the simulation.

After nursing their wounds and gathering up their evidence, everyone returns to the VR terminals. They remember Skully’s words about unlocking some new power. Perhaps this could help them find the monsters?
EXT. WITCH TRIAL CIRCLE - DAY
A circle of stones stands in a gloomy meadow that looks like Salem, Massachusetts, before all the tourists showed up. At the head of them rests a looming gallows, but since that’s not kid-friendly it’s actually just a dunk tank. Skully is in front of it, wearing a pilgrim hat on top of his beret.
“Heya, buddies,” Skully shouted, “I just unlocked a secret power! We’ll call it Unmasking!”
“Basically, if you know who the culprit is but are missing evidence, you can try to drag the truth outta them kicking and screaming! However, if you mess it up you’ll be ostracized out of our mystery-solving group…FOREVER.
“There are several villainous characters running amok here. I only have enough Bone Marrow to Unmask each of them once! So think carefully about how you use this tool!”
A rock slowly rose out of the ground. Carved into it were five names:

“To Unmask someone, simply announce that you plan to do so and get a majority of the cast to back you up,” Skully explained, “But listen here, villains! I know just what you’re thinking! Don’t try to mess stuff up by intentionally Unmasking wrong! If you incorrectly Unmask someone, it won’t count!
Skully held his hands out wide. Fire burst up from the ground behind him.
“Alright, friends. Take a podium! Or don’t, I don’t care. Let’s talk it out!”
[In the future, if players don’t submit their actions on time, I’ll simply flip a coin to choose between their assigned cards. I don’t want to punish people heavily for having IRL stuff to deal with, but I also have to have some stability in my life. Since this round was delayed, I’ll decide when actions will be due at a later date.

"Find anything ye-" Before she could finish her sentence, the sounds of wanton carnage came from nearby, causing her to jump in shock. Her head snapped around to look, just in time to see what looked like the teacups ride letting loose somewhere on the other side of the stalls. "Cripes! Am I glad I'm not over there. If I didn't find the shortcut I was going to just try walking here... I'd have been right in the middle of that mess." She shuddered at the thought. "You guys really do this sort of thing all the time?" she asked Velma in disbelief.

“We do!” She said proudly. “Usually it’s just people in masks instead of robot monsters though.”
