Then, in slow motion they feel their consciousness fading as they tumble down the sloped floor into darkness.
Hands grab each of them as they fall and drag them away.

A deep, distant groan can be heard from the metal of the ship.
It can be felt in everyone's chests when they hear the sound of some thick metal beam snapping to pieces.
They blink open their eyes. It takes a second to adjust to orient themselves in the darkness in front of them. It's unclear how long they've been out.
The nineteen sit around in various chairs in a big empty movie theater somewhere on the ship. Additionally, two tables lay on the ground near the screen.
All four exits from the movie theater appear to be locked.

1. Every seven days, there will be an Elimination Match. Attendance is mandatory for all participants. Elimination Matches will end with the execution of at least one loser. They will always be a cooperative game where the big group will decide who lives.
2. You are trapped in the game. Only the sole survivor is permitted to leave. This means there will be at most eighteen Elimination Matches. The sole survivor is considered the winner, and will be given an escape route.
3. All rules must be obeyed, under punishment of immediate death.
4. Any other activity which occurs between official matches is allowed, such as murder. In fact, this is encouraged and will help the game to run faster, for a more streamlined experience. Participants are encouraged to come up with ways to kill one another as a group.
Under the rules, a timer appears and begins to count downward.

It appears that the projection is coming from a little black box, similar to the Val. A large cable runs from the box straight into the wall of the ship.
