He stood on two feet, facing Mei. The temerity of this woman… she hadn’t even waited to see who it was rounding the corner. No, she must’ve trusted that Mao would find a way to escape. And she didn’t give him even a second of opportunity to see she was there.
He slowly raised his gun at her, color draining out of his face. Oddly, the only thing he could smell was blood.
But he didn’t even have the strength left to pull the trigger. So he just stood there, as the last of his strength left his body. The gun fell from his hands, clattering on the floor.
Like all the great gods, Mao had fallen.

Then he laughed. He laughed like he never had. It sounded almost... satisfied in how overjoyed it was.
"You did a great job with him, nurse", he snorted, giving her a thumbs up. "Just a pity that I couldn't be the one to finish him off."
He gave the body a kick, stepping on his chest with glee. "Oh well. Revenge is sweet though, isn't it?" He kicked the body some more, deriving a cruel and unusual amount of pleasure from the act. "Our ex-ambassador friend isn't looking too hot now, is he?"

Arriving on the scene, shortly after Monk's kicks and stomps, Fujisaki began slamming his fist into the General's body. Over and over, bloodying his hands and clothing. Laughing in harmony with the strange American wanderer.
Then, a wide smile spread across his face, almost from ear to ear. He let out a deep breath, and then fell on his back, staring up at the ceiling.

It was impossible to understand what he said, as it was in his own language, Japanese. But anyone looking could tell that the man had never looked so relieved in his entire life.

And that's when she realized what she had just done. The regret evidently started taking its toll.
Shakily, the medic toggles the safety on her gun and lets it fall out of her hands, a horrified look painting her face; as the two man in front of her wailed on the corpse of the person she'd just murdered, she could do nothing but stare in complete silence. As much as she wanted to open her mouth to say something, she simply couldn't. Once Fujisaki was done, she turned her empty gaze towards Monk --
"Why... couldn't you just have stayed in that bed?" She said, slightly trembling, "If it wasn't for you... if I just hadn't listened..."

He rush out of the room to see where the others are. Upon seeing the group along with a dead Mao, he lets out a sigh.
"Well... That happened..." The doctor said as he looks over Mao's corpse. "Gunshot to the head, if that wasn't obvious." Then he looks over to Mei and the gun that was laying in front of her.
".... I see. Mei did what she could to stop Mao... even if it means fatally shooting him." He said quietly. "He deserves it, I'm certain of it."

Accept the deals he wanted, keep my mouth shut in any argument that wasn't beneficial to him. And if I didn't comply, Sunny would..." He stammered, getting a little emotional.
"As you can tell, it wasn't pretty at all. My job lost all of its lustre, my own countrymen grew distrustful of me, my life felt empty without my son, my relationship with my wife was totally ruined..." He glanced momentarily towards X but then turned back to Mei. "I just felt like an utter puppet to him. Of course, Bao didn't give me his name. But I knew. I always knew. I had a feeling. I just could never confront him without any evidence. And so, my life was crumbling right before my very eyes... And just when you think it couldn't get worse, I got blown to kingdom come."
He let out a deep sigh. "After all this, when I woke up in that hospital room, somehow still alive. And that was when I realised it. This was my chance to escape. Run away as fast as I could from the nightmare I was leading. And you", he pointed to the nurse, "Were willing to help me leave this old life. I escaped that day, and started a new life. Benedict Clarkson was long gone. I was now Black Monk."

He turned to the screen Sunny was on, and gave an awkward wave to the child. "Hey, son! Good to see you again!" He shouted, his voice cracking a bit. He was clearly quite emotional just looking at him. Even the poison in his system couldn't stop him from giving the biggest grin he could.

The nurse simply balled up her fists, digging her nails into her palms and looked at the ground, gritting her teeth. "... it's not fair..." she mumbled to herself, wobbling slightly. Which made her suddenly remember - people were, in fact, poisoned. Looking at the syringe she left by the wayside, she took a deep breath and then turned to everyone else. "The... poison first," she managed to force out, clearly still in turmoil from the earlier minutes.

Yin appears on a nearby monitor, laughing uproariously. An expression of twisted glee covers her face.
“Good job, players. You’ve put a weary soul at ease,” she says, “Thanks to your hard work, I believe a reward is in store. You’ll find the antidotes in the research lab.”
Hearing this, Amandi leaves the body behind and walks purposefully to the Tiger room. He steps inside, discovering a light shining near the wall.
“However, I’d like to warn you all,” Yin says, “I’m only able to supply enough antidotes to cure two people. It seems Cat did not require more than that for the sake of his game.”
By the light, Amandi discovers a small compartment. He pulls it open. Two syringes of clear liquid are inside.
“Unfortunately, this means several of you will still die,” Yin says, “But there’s nothing I can do about that anymore.”
Amandi places the syringes in the pockets of his lab coat and turns around. The others have already gathered outside the Meridian Gate, looking in desperately.
“I suggest you consider your next moves carefully.”
