Taikong also takes the drawn lantern over to the stick figure in the dollhouse. He grabs the lantern from the other piece of paper, waves it around for a bit, and smiles. He pulls out an object to give Taikong in return—it’s the Secret File!

X and Taikong open the safe and pull the last orange chip out. After fighting over it briefly, they slot it in the door, revealing the final hint: Shoot for the stars!
However, the hint is of little use to them, as the door immediately slides open, revealing a dark, steel hallway on the other side, flanked on either side by shelves stocked with supplies.

At the end of the line of shelves, the group discovers a locked door. Taikong tries opening it, but to no avail.
“What about that Dragon key you mentioned earlier, Mama?” Sunny asks, tugging on Juanli’s dress. “Maybe that will open the door.”
“Good thinking, Sunny,” Juanli says, “Let’s try that.”
Amethyst raises the green key into the air.
“I’ve got it right here,” she says, pushing her way through the group to the door. She sticks the key in the lock and turns it. The door opens with a click.
“How ironic,” X mumbles, “Cat gave us a key that was no use until we actually entered the room it appeared to open. It was nothing more than a means of tempting us…”
Amethyst pushes the door open and leads the group to the other side.
They discover a small, steel-walled living space that feels even more claustrophobic than the playroom they just left. Three leather couches sit around a coffee table. A blinking terminal rests near the entrance, hooked up to a strange device fashioned out of various microchips. On the far wall are four tall glass domes built into the wall, resembling the sleeping pod from the Armory. A revolver rests on the coffee table.
On the left is the exit from the room, but a Meridian Gate stands in the way. The group begins to think that leaving may be less simple than it looks.
“Let’s check this computer before we do anything,” Suyin says.
Checking the computer, Suyin finds several files, though only a few stand out to her. First is a file labelled “earth.txt,” which she immediately opens.

Suyin immediately finds the randomizer on the computer and runs it. It returns the following teams.

A small monitor is set in the wall nearby. Perhaps Yin could appear there, but at the moment it is completely blank.
“Is there anything else on that computer that looks important?” Juanli asks.
“There’s something here, but I can’t make much sense of it,” Suyin explains, “It looks like some message was being broadcast from this facility a year or two ago. It just says…‘China HQ at Temple of the Sun’, over and over again.”
“‘Temple of the Sun?’” Juanli mumbles, “I remember that place. Why is it being brought up here though?”
A dark look passes over Taikong, Mei, and Amethyst’s face, but they remain silent for the moment. However, Taikong quickly steps over to the center of the room and grabs the gun off the table…

Taikong picks up the gun and holds on to it cautiously.
“Alright, we need to start discussing who should be allowed to leave,” Taikong says, “Or better yet, who might be better off remaining down here.”
“But that would be a death sentence, wouldn’t it?” Juanli replies, “Even if one were to survive the bomb going off, those supplies of food are bound to run out eventually.”
Taikong falls silent for a moment.

“Rat seems to know something. He says that some of us shouldn’t be allowed to leave, meaning our existences go against the will of the Rat. The Temple of the Sun is likely where the Rat’s father died but I am unfamiliar with this broadcast that so many people seem to know.”
