It sounds as though people's accounts of their deaths can be even more unreliable than master Albrecht's was, so there's no help there. "What about the demon's theory?" Verrier asked. "I think I see it now, even if her theory isn't spot on. The killer told Harley about the 'pretend you've been murdered' plan, but then secretly cut the car's brakes. Harley got in the car, locked the door and set himself up to look as though he'd been eviscerated. He ended up crashing, and somehow the crash is what killed him, whether because it drove a knife into him, or simply by the impact itself. I imagine this is what I discovered in the story before the dramatic cliffhanger?"

"It was quite a minor crash... I suppose that also rules out him being knocked out by the impact. So what was it then? Harley died to poison, perhaps, or he died from cold exposure. Maybe he suffocated due to being in a sealed space. Something like that?" Verrier suggested.

"All of you are really committed to this idea, huh? Harley's 'killing blow' occurred while he was in the vehicle from midnight to 4 AM. That covers genetic diseases I would think but to be clear Harley did not die of a disease.

"And to answer your question Fritzy, a perfect closed room is one where the only exits are any mentioned doors or windows. If there's a key, it's the only one. Or maybe it can only be locked from the inside. Either way, there's no 'trick' to the room and it stands on its own."

Are you guys gonna jump for the blood and entrails next? Those weren't poisoned either. In fact the killer didn't leave anything to chance with a trap or anything, and directly killed Harley. They stared him down as they did so. Do I need to say anything else? Hmmm let's see if this works--Fritz is a dumbass. Wow, even the gods deem it so!"

"You're kidding me... The killer used the Audi to gas me to death while I was locked inside the Benz, pretending to be dead... Which means that the actual crime scene was the garage... The killer moved my corpse away from the garage and to where Fritz and Edna would find it?" Harley summarized a bit.
