All the files should be there. Last thing I did was jump from a actionlist to another.

Sigh. Zip it up again give me a link and I'll check it out.. If I recall correctly, your case was "Turnabout Attorney" .. if thats right, leave the songs out of the Zip. I still have them.

That is, I want to select a topic and they will talk about selected topic, like in the real games.

Yes. It turns out I wasn't looking at the commands for each location properly. Thanks for such a great learning...thing.

Okai, I'm having fun with this program and all. But there's one thing that bothers me.

When I export the game, around a custom character's mouth is black pixels when she talks. However, with Edgeworth's talking sprite, no black pixels appear.

I check the custom characters sprite, but nothing seems wrong with the sprite itself.

Is this just a bug?

(-hopes she made this understandable-)

There isn't quite a "bug" per-say. This problem had been covered in the other topic. However.

Where the "black pixels" are appearing, is where her mouth is (for some reason) transparent. You probabily have some pixels near her mouth, the same as the "Border" (Which is transparent, to make her look like a person and not a cube)

The way to resolve this, is examine the pixels that are being changed colour, and perhaps try changing them to a near-perfectly-similar colour.

You can do Cross-Examinations, but you can't object. You can Press, though. And there are investigations! It's great!

Yeah...that's really too bad.
I would have needed it for my Achoral : Newb Attorney test. Me and my friends are working on our sprites and stuff to make a "parody" case...
Too bad presenting evidence are not/won't be supported ._.
Here are what I've done :
http://perso.orange.fr/reo-d07403/wtf-eng.exe (this one is random)
http://perso.orange.fr/reo-d07403/aki-attorney.exe
(It does not end in a loop. You just have to press the 2 last statement in the reverse order to pass through it)
By the way. In my games, you'll notice that when the talking character changes, sometimes, the sprite doesn't before the next message ends, and I get some problems with fading-in black flashes...I checked the action-list, and I think the commands are in the right order.
Does anyone know what the problem could be ? A bug, or my "wrongness" in programming ? x_x
I've tried to fix it using the "wait" command but it doesn't change... ^^"

I was thinking, it is possible to get around the inability to object if you had a combined Casemaker-Web interface... You play through the case but have a website specially for the sections where you present evidence. If you present successfully (by clicking on the right bit of evidence in the right section of the testimony), you gain access to a new Casemaker file to download to carry on playing. It'd be a bit of a faff though when you're doing a case where you have to submit multiple pieces of evidence within a few paragraphs of each other...

I suppose that would be -A- way to do it. but you would have to find a website and stuff.

If I really had the patience and I could keep myself motivated. I could make a website for making Turnabouts, literally, a WEBSITE where you could create your script. You would (eventually) be able to present evidence etc etc and if I REALLY put my mind to it, I suppose alot of it could be animated too. Only draw back would be that there is no Audio at all.

I wouldn't commit yourself to something like that, personally speaking. Taking on these kinds of projects just seems to cause arguments between people.

I was thinking (again) that if you did have a section where you had to submit multiple pieces of evidence one after the other you could just have a video of the court dialogue in between running, as they don't need to interact and therefore don't need the casemaker... I'm not explaining it very well.

As in

You run the casemaker file and play through the case, then you come to a bit where you have to submit some evidence. The judge quotes a weblink that you have to write down. You then shut down the casemaker and go to the website, which has a graphic of the court record and another graphic of the testimony that has just been presented which you can scroll through to select the right portion of testimony in which to present your evidence. It'd be a bitch to code as you'd have to assemble all the evidence graphics and give them links, but once you have the template it'd be pretty easy to alter from there.

If you select the wrong bit of evidence it'll go to a new page with a video (that you've created with the case maker) of the judge/whoever telling you that you got it wrong and you suck, or whatever. I think it'd be really difficult to make the penalty system work with that kind of format but players who are really that insistent on it could keep a paper record or something.

And if you select the right bit of evidence it'll do one of the following:
-If you've got a big portion of gameplay interaction before the next evidence presentation (like, you expose them and then you go onto the next witness), then it'll direct to a page with a new casemaker file for you to download and play through.
-If you've only a bit of dialogue before the next presentation you could have it open up a page with a video of the dialogue that you've created with the Casemaker, e.g. "Blah blah you proved this but you still need to provide evidence of this" *new link to new page to present some more evidence*

Like I said, it'd be a bitch to HTML code but it is theoretically doable. I just thought I'd put the idea up here for anybody who's masochistic enough to put themselves through it as the chances of me getting around to implement it in my final year of university are pretty slim XD

2.1 is the greatest one. You can do investigations, cross-examinations and testimonies, the interfaces are quite a bit better, and it's just more polished all the way around.

Create a folder for them

I.e Folder : Maya

Then when you type in Maya it'll look in there for all images releated to that character (which as far as it's concerned, is anything image-related in that folder)

Psyche-Locked. ALOT of the questions your asking could be solved if you download my case and read through it.

That's fair enough. If you decide to do it, that's good, but if you don't, then it's no big deal. Better to just put up a finished product and say "here, I randomly did this and you can use it too" than talk about it and get people excited, release bits of it and then disappear without ever finishing it. That's what I meant about causing arguments between people 'cause that's what happened with the other two casemakers. But anyway, yeah, good luck with it if you decide to do it ^^

I'm really sorry if I seem like a noob asking questions every 3 seconds, but I have one more that I need to know.
Does you have to put the defense bench, witness stand etc (the actual benches, not the backgrounds) in manually or does it put them in. If you have to do it manually how do you do it?

Lets answer this with a logical question.
Why, or how, would the case maker already have the images it needs for your case? how would it know what the witness bench looks like, or the defense bench, or the prosecution?

Simply put, no. Everything to do with your case that you want has to be inputted, apart from the interface the player uses to navigate through the game. Even sounds.

Who cares if they don't let you download them? Install them onto your pin-drive. Portableapps Allows you to install and run software from a external drive. So put it on a mp3 player or something and they'll never know.

You know, in that case, why don't you just make cases with HTML? With DHTML, you could do animations, or you just use text and links. (Also, HTML cases could run on the DS browser. :hotti: )

#1 the DS Browser sucks ass it loads slow as hell, has a tiny cache.
#2 DHTML is annoying as hell to work with. If you're going to try and do the cases with a webpage you may as well get into image manipulation with PHP (which is what I was planning to do, if I should go to do it)

Well its not too hard to do provided you have the correct program. Me and Mecha used GraphicsGale to create animations for this. Do you have it by chance? If not I suppose if you tell me what evidence scrolls you need, I could make them...
