Thanks for the help. :) Through the entire Ace Attorney story line, I've always been fond of Phoenix because of his personality, which doesn't usually happen with other characters. Even though I've only played the first game, he's already up there in my top favorite characters from any video game. I probably won't read the spoilers, but I'm gonna miss using him.

I adore Phoenix also, both because of his wonderful easy going (and slightly naive) personality, and he has a cute face. Normally I like the bad guys, or the rivals in games, but Phoenix is the winner for me. About the only advice I can give is not to rush through the second and third game, so you can have more fun with him. :)
I'm actually sure Odoroki/Apollo isn't THAT bad really, but I'd need to play through the game first.
Ah well, have fun with the games. There's some hilarity coming up in JFA that you will enjoy immensely.

Also, did you say the entire cast will be leaving in the fourth game? If so, I'd definatly miss Maya, Gumshoe, Larry, and Edgeworth.

I like Odoroki, the New Phoenix, and the rest of GS4 quite a bit, but the new direction the series has taken is still something of a hot issue around the fandom right now.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you (except I've finished JFA and am now awaiting T&T), and... well, I've learned more about GS4 through accidental spoilers (not necessarily all on this forum, but a decent chunk, nonetheless) than I care to repeat.
Although I think I would have figured out the connection between stuff like that avatar and GS4 on my own eventually, like how I'm almost positive that

But, as time as gone on, I've grown more accepting and open to Odoroki, and the more inviting the fourth addition to the series seems to be as time passes by. Perhaps now that I'm familiar with it, I'm ready to move on. I hope you experience the same, as it looks like it a new character, especially someone like Odoroki, should provide a lot of new, fun opportunities for the Ace attorney series.
Also, Odoroki has a PASSIONATE HEART BURNING RED, so there's no denying him.

I hope Capcom know what they're doing. As said earlier, I grew attached the original cast too, I don't really wanna give them up. I'm willing to give GS4 a chance though.

At least I can understand why Capcom would want to shift gears and introduce a host of new characters. Plus, I've read a preview of the game that said it's really, really good. And I trust Takumi!
