I was writing my fan-fic and It was coming to the part where my OC was offered the job as Cheif prosecutor and I wondered if the cheif ges to appear in court.

Can you please tell me so I can continue :lana:

Well, as far as the game had hinted, the Chief Prosecutor just monitored the actions and cases that that Prosecutor's Office took. I'm not sure if the Chief gets to appear in court, but there was nothing mentioned about Lana actually prosecuting, so I'd say that it's a no.

[But hey, I could be wrong. I'm still not entirely sure...but sticking with no as my answer nonetheless.]

Actually Edgeworth mentioned something about that. "She's the top prosecutor in the country, but she can't prosecute herself", or something like that.

I imagine it's because there's a law against self-prosecution, due to the fact that a prosecutor could prosecute his or herself, do a crappy job on purpose, then walk away with a Not Guilty.

yea, I think that she can prosecute, like temuthril said, edgeworth was saying: she can't prosecute herself. meaning that if it were someone else she'd be prosecuing them.
