5-1: Apollo has some weird dream sequence trial where he's so confused that some helper person (preferably a talking bear) has to help him by giving him silly advice. And dream sequence Payne would have Fabio-ish hair.
5-2: Random murder happens, and Minuki or whatever her name is gets accused. Introduces the main prosecutor of 5, who happens to be some girl from Kurain Village.
5-3: The standard filler case. The prosecutor fills in some blanks about what happened to Maya and Pearl.
5-4: Someone gets murdered at Kurain Village. Suspect is Maya's daughter, perhaps? But anyway, the main prosecutor decides she'd fail to win the case as her normal self
6-1: Phoenix takes his first case after taking his exam, defending none other than Larry Butz.
6-2:Apollo defends some love interest character. Main prosecutor of 6 is introduced. She's some 12 year old girl that carries around a teddy bear and throws tantrums whenever Apollo makes a good point. ("THAT'S NOT FAIR! I WANNA REDO!" Teehee)
6-3: Filler case duh.
6-4: Maya ends up being murdered, and Pearl is the suspect, so Phoenix takes the case. Main prosecutor from 5 returns, this time channeling the spirit of Manfred so that he can get his revenge. However, Phoenix is able to find proof that the prosecutor committed the murder and the murder from the last game too, but at the very last moment they get away.
6-5: A very important character is murdered. Apollo takes the case, and the prosecutor is the 12 year old for the first day. However, she finds the case too stressful and her parent replaces her, who ends up being Edgeworth/Franziska.

If GS3 has a flashback to Nick's days at university (?) maybe GS5/6 could have a "flash forward" like a vision of the future or something. Maya is the Master of Kurain Village in GS5/6, and Maya, Nick, Minuki and Pearls all live together (is that cheesy)? :D

I mean, as far as I know, you're using his law office as a home-base of sorts (the talent agency?) in AA4. Him NOT appearing would be strange, considering he owns the place and everything.
In that case Apollo needs to get his own office.

5-5: Unfortunate Turnabout

Summary: On a day where Apollo was supposed to go head to head once again with "Rookie Crusher" Winston Payne the young Defense Attorney was found dead in the defendant's lobby. Payne is accused of the murder, the implication being he was bitter over his losing streak. Ironically, the man who would defend him is the man who has not only beaten him twice in court but was almost put in jail by Payne a year earlier. Familiar faces will return and the reigns of lead character are back where they belong.

Why he is the suspect?
Because he was talking with Apollo in his chambers and then The Judge retires from the room because the prosecution of the case that Apollo was taking (Payne) wanted to talk with him quickly and Apollo waits in the room for the return of The Judge, a baliff enters before and see Apollo's body in the floor.

A type of case that I feel is missing is revenge. I mean, yeah, you have 2-2 and TaT, but I'm talking more of a double-victim case, where victim 2 killed victim 1, which then got killed by a friend of victim 1 (if you get what I'm saying). It could be quite interesting for Apollo to get a case of a murder, only to have the real murderer (whoem Apollo has interviewed) be killed.
That will probably prove a similar effect as with 2-3

5-2 is a murder in Kurain and Maya is seriously injured. After this case, Phoenix decides to stay in Kurain while Maya is recovering. Phoenix fans get the sappy moment where he shows he still does care about his old friends(also the much-demanded reappearance of an old friend), and Apollo gets the chance to shine as he deals with 5-3 and possibly 5-4 without any help from Phoenix.

Honestly I don't want to see Maya again--see has been involved WAY too much already, defendant, hostage...whatever. In fact, while I'm at it, I'll up the ante and say that I really don't want to see any of the Phoenix arc characters, save Nick and even he'll get a lessened role. Don't get me wrong--I love them, otherwise I wouldn't be here...
...but there is such a thing as overkill.

A person is murdered and defendant 'X' is the accused. But, as it turns out, the murder occured because both the defendant and deceased were in the same place at the same time. The defendant was going to be murdered but the victim jumped in his way and sacrificed himself. Then the murderer sets up the crime scene to make it look like defendant killed the victim.
HOWEVER! The victim was in such a state of shock that they don't remember anything from the day in question. Apollo must dig his way through a mountain of lies, forged evidence, and backstabbings to get to the truth.
It would make for an excellent final case.

Phoenix had Larry, at least, and Edgeworth as a childhood friend. But it doesn't seem like Apollo knows anyone outside of his work. He needs a friend who isn't a teenaged girl, or he's gonna end up like Phoenix!
Since the Wright "Everything" Office is technically a talent agency, I think they ought to take on another performer. Like...a mime.
Or an out of work actor, or a comedian. Maybe someone who ends up really busy and can't be around all the time, but enough to fill the regular cast a bit.
