I just realized that Mario kart 64 and DS are on my list of best games I've ever played. How about everyone else, any Mario Kart games that you like?

N64 MK and DS MK are some of the best racing games I have ever played, tight controls, fun courses, just everything about these games screams "win"

I agree. Out of all the Mario Karts, the one on the 64 and the DS are the best. The Gamecube one is alright, but I enjoy the previous two more.

I loved Double Dash and DS

DS:Variety of games to do and online.
DD:Mix and match your favorite characters in the same vehicle (Like Waluigi with Baby Mario. Random duo FTW!) And special items

I love all of the MK games but my favorite is a toss-up between Double Dash and DS. 64 was good but the computer is a complete Jew and doesn't like it when you place first. Super Mario Kart is a classic but the steering interface is god awful. No power sliding and you have to hop and slide on like 90% of the turns. *remembers Rainbow Road and shudders* Super Circuit was better than SMK but it suffered from the same steering flaws as the original.

BTW, I own every Mario Kart game released outside of Japan and will buy the Wii version when it's released.

I have been a fan of the series since the Nintendo 64 and I say that the 64 and the DS versions are the best. I just played Double Dash recently and while it's fun to mix odd pairing together (Peach/Koopa Troopa FTW!) it just doesn't feel Mario Kart-ish to me.

I personally can't wait to try the Mario Kart Wii with the Wiiheel when it comes out. :sal:

I love MK DS.

I played all of them. Double Dash is the second on my list.
Super Circuit... well, too hard and the controls are not the best.
Super Mario Kart, just frustrating...
Mario Kart 64, a great game in nultiplayer, but the 1P Grand Prix is frustrating, because the computers cheat and there is a not-too-small luck factor.

This may be slightly off-topic, but who's getting Mario Kart Wii? There really hasn't been that much information about it, except for what was shown at E3. Oh, and yes. I LURVE Mario kart.

How is something related to the Mario Kart series off-topic is a Mario Kart thread?

I'll get MK Wii, online battle mode FTW plus no hackers thanks to modded wii's getting bricked :D

Also, my least favorite MK game was the GBA one, the karts felt like they were on ice in that game, I always had to over compensate to make turns.

Sorry, but I never really liked Mario Kart. I mean... it's just a racing game. Granted, it has a few add ons... but it's just a basic racing game. Sure, it's fun the first time you play it, but then you put down the controler and go do something else.
