It would also tie in to the Arumajikis, thus tying up all loose ends and creating a happy, feel-good ending to the trilogy. Everything wraps up nicely and everyone lives happily ever after.

...And I have a STRONG feeling that GS5 first case will be Phoenix's.....I mean GS1 = Phoenix First case,so they could have an easy tutorial case,in GS2 phoenix had amnesia....GS3 it was mia's first case. GS4 Apollo's first case. GS5....I really think that they are going to use Phoenix "I haven't been in court for so long,damn I forgot what to do" for some reason.

Case One: One of Phoenix's friends is accused of murder. He gets you to defend them, but since he has such a personal stake, he tudors you the whole way (much to the chagrin of Apollo) even though it's Payne prosecuting, because he's just the only one available. You (the player) know what you're doing, but after the case, Wright says he could have done it better than you, so he's going to go back to law school. He does, and rarely appears again.
Case Two: (This is where it gets weird.) A golem (look up the Discworld one, as this one is similar to that kind) is accussed of killing the priest who created him. It seems hopeless, as immense (golem-like) strength is required, and he's the only one without holy words that prevent something like this. However, the evidence begins to point to another golem that was thought long destroyed. Just when it seems in the clear, the prosecutor (see Croik's idea) shows evidence of a motive. The golem has "clayrot" where the clay used to make him was inferior and can't support life. On the final day of the trial, the golem testifys, but midway though, it starts crumbling. It utters it's final words "I...Did Not...Cause Harm To [Insert Priest name here] before turning to dust. The trial ends sans a verdict.
Case Three: Apollo gets a call at 4:00 AM, from the prosecutor of case two. It turns out, another priest offered to save the golem through blessing and better clay, but since this involves going into the golem's cell, he needed permission from the prosecutor. Now she's accused of murder since she didn't give permission. She claims to have never recieved the letter asking permission. Edgeworth prosecutes (nothing special here, Wright isn't involved, it's just Edgy doin his job). Apollo calls Wright asking for help, and Wright tells Apollo to look for motives from people who give letters from prisoners to the prosecutor. It turns out, the prosecutor's secretary is against artificial life, and intercepted the letter, later found in her desk. On the final day, Edgy claims that the prosecutor (I'm just gonna call her Fran2 from now on) placed the letter in her sectetary's desk in order to frame her. He then calls Fran2's secretary. Apollo presses, asking if anyone can take or plant important evidence in the desk, and the secreraty responds "No! I have a combination lock on all my drawers and I'm the only one who has the comin...ation..." and then freaks out.

Case 2: Apollo takes a seemingly simple case involving the ever stupid
. He's accused of murdering his girlfriend, and 
pressures you into taking the case.After a day of investigation, you find a whole load of evidence that points to your client being innocent. Apollo walks into the courtroom, high and mighty, acting cocky about the simple case.
Standing across from Apollo is a tall, 16 year old prodigy (ugh.), wearing a nice beret, with medium-long brown hair, and magatama. Wait, magatama? The young lady says she's from Kurain Village, and she studied to become a prosecutor (like
did to become a lawyer, adds Phoenix.)Spoiler: Not really a spoiler.
She goes by a 5 letter name (I have absolutely no clue where to go with this.), like a certain coffee bean smoking jerkhole.
You eventually win the case, and the girl leaves with an older looking woman. Maybe around 27-ish.

Case 4: Epic time.
is charged with the murder of Spoiler: Sorta.
She comes looking for Phoenix Wright. Needless to say, she finds him.
At first, Phoenix doesn't believe that this is Franny. One flash of De Killer's card changes his mind. He breaks the news that he's no longer a lawyer, and beelines with Franny to Apollo's office.
He takes the case, without knowing that the murder happened in good ol' Germ-germ.
Spoiler: To save some space
Skip investigation, and we head to trial day (which is in America, since technically Franny is an American citizen.). You vs. Ms. Kurain.
She doesn't want to mess this trial up like last time, so she immediately transforms into a certain prosecutor, after some advice from the same lady from case 2. She transforms into none other than
Personal hate aside (Franny hates her dad, and stuff.) the trial goes on. von Karma hasn't lost his touch, and the trial drags on for a good 2-3 days. (My wallet feels sad just thinking about it, says Apollo, thinking about the ticket prices.)
Eventually, you defeat von Karma. In his anger, he severs his tie with the girl, and in the attempt, breaks the little girl's magatama. Damn.
Suddenly, a locket flies through the air and hits Apollo in the forehead. He hits the ground, but eventually wakes up. He opens up the locket to see a picture of Maya, Pearl, and Phoenix together, 7 long years ago. He compares the physical similarities between the girl and Pearl and figures out...
The prosecutor's name is Mike Meekins Pearl Fey.

That's a nice twist, right there. I don't really like the idea of Pearl becoming some sort of evil cheating prosecutor, but it would be a nice twist... I guess.

Since Phoenix has matured into a Mia-type level, he should refuse to go back to being a Lawyer, and should occasionally mentor Apollo. Maya and Pearl don't really need to come back, they have no relation to Apollo and Trucy, and to introduce the Kurain spirit channeling thing into a game with a brand new Minuku system would be confusing to fans who started with GS4.
As for Edgeworth, if they bring him in, I think he should die in this game. He may be awesome, but I don't think there's much they can do with him now, and bringing him in would only please the fanboy/girls and anger the people who want a story about his reappearance. If Edgeworth does die, the case should be held overseas and Franziska should be accused of murdering him.

While I believe that the story should focus on apollo, it just wouldn't make sense for Phoenix to NOT become a lawyer again. He loves his job!But he could just not be the one that the story concentrates on.
But I honestly still want Phoenix to appear again. Not as the main character,but maybe let's say,let him take the case 3. The third case of each game is always a filler anyway.
Haha but honestly,the way I see it in GS 4 Phoenix was still the main character. You play as apollo,alright but every main character knew phoenix, and the main story had Phoenix involved.
