Several people who pre-ordered their copy of Trials and Tribulations directly through Capcom's online store are reporting now that the game has already been put on back order. So far there doesn't seem to be any word from Capcom on how long it's going to take for those games to ship, or if this affects the pre-order plush they've been advertising. There's a thread discussing it on the Capcom community forums but CR will do its best to keep you updated as well.

My condolences to those of you that have to wait even longer now ;_;

EDIT: However, It is within your best interests not to run screaming to your local import shop. When GS3-DS was released in Japan, it was extremely apparent that the localization was not all that it could've been. We now have reports from 'RadioShadow' that the American release of 'Trials and Tribulations' does indeed have grammatical errors corrected. To what extent, we don't know. Personally, I'm potentially disappointed, we may never know if 'the miracle never happen'. -Wooster

EDIT 2: According to Nef, who spoke with Capcom's customer service, those of you preordered through the Capcom store will still get the preorder plushie, and it will be shipped within 1 to 2 weeks.

I'm currently on the phone (on hold lol) with Digital River distribution, the guys in charge of the Capcom online store. I plan on calling Capcom, too but they are not open yet. I'll report on any info I get.

Nef is saaaad. ;_;

OK, no point in calling Capcom, you just get transferred back to Digital River.

OK, finally got through to Digital River, was given a phone number that doesn't work and an email address. Sent an email, hoping for a reply.

It also says on the Gamestop website that its now backordered there, but does that mean its only for those who DIDN'T pre-order? Its also showing used games already for sale too O_o

Long time listener, first time caller.

I am one of those affected by the backorder, and since it seems poor Nef is playing the telephone shuffle with Digital River...

I thought I might be able to help.

What I have here is a professional letter of complaint, crafted by one of my friends whose job description includes creating complaint letters to big companies who can't seem to get their stuff straight.

I think it might be a little TOO early for the complaint letters, its only day 1 (er 2 XP) ^^;;;

If this happens again for GS4, THEN lets throw out the letters immediately. This was probably just a miscalculation, someone didn't realize HOW big this release was going to be, though they should've taken the hint it would be even crazier after the game was delayed yet again X_X It should be common sense that the pre-orders for this game were going to be insane, more so then the demand for just the game in store stock after filling the pre-orders. Obviously there are way more pre-orders then what they expected, which is why a PRE-ORDER CUT OFF DATE would've done wonders. If the cut the pre-orders off atleast a couple of weeks ago they would've known just how many games to ship to atleast fill pre-orders the first week, then ship the stock out the next week if the demand was this crazy.

This was an irresponsible error on the distribution's part, and hopefully it won't happen again.

In other news, my Daddy who is awesome has forwarded my (very polite) complaint and questions e-mail to Hiroshi Tobisawa, President of Capcom USA. We'll see how that pans out. :D

Also @ Arei, if the problem was not enough games for preorders (yet still some) I would think that Capcom would ship them out in order of who ordered first. And yet I know of at least one person who ordered in August who got the Backorder notice

That would be impossible. T&T is being sold by many different stores with different pre-order policies. Since there was no official pre-order cut-off date, someone could've walked into a gamestop YESTERDAY and pre-ordered a copy of T&T. There is no "major list" with people's pre-orders in number from first to list, every store just a has a number of people that pre-ordered but that doesn't nessicarily reflect the amount of games they are going to get. There are way too many pre-orders, way too many retailers, there is no way they would know who ordered first, unless each retailer was keeping tabs of who ordered what and when and every single store that was selling pre-orders of T&T got together and compiled a master list, which they didn't do. The distributors have to come up with a rough estimate then ship, and if they don't ship enough games then the consumers are the one who're screwed. This time they obviously did not ship enough games to meet the demand, and they still aren't EXACTLY sure how many games they're looking at that they need for pre-orders. They get a very rough estimate from retail reports, but their are way too many to compile exactly, so they just have to keep making and keep shipping as fast they can until they get the "We're good now" message.

Don't take my word 101%, I'm not in that business, but it WOULD be impossible to hand out pre-orders first come first serve to ALL of the people in the US that pre-ordered T&T. One Gamestop store in town may choose to have kept tabs on who ordered what and when, and give them out according to their list, but not ALL of them will do that and from dealing with lazyass workers at gamestop in the past, I seriously doubt most did that.

I don't think it's worth it to start sending in complain notices yet, at least until we hear from Capcom about how they're addressing the issue. If it's going to be weeks or even months before the preorders ship...well, that is certainly reason to pitch a stink.

Has ANYONE gotten a copy yet? Even just by walking into a store and getting it?

Nef is grumpy grumpy grumpy. My emails only netted me the Capcom number (which I had already found on their own website). I ended up leaving a message with Customer service.

I have shifted from Disappointed and Annoyed to really incredibly pissed off.

Well I just went to my Gamestop. It's in. But they haven't sifted through all the boxes. Some boxes were in the front but there were others in the back that had yet to be opened. I have to wait, for yet, another phone call once they find it. *sighs* This is frustrating, especially when they said they had it out and ready anytime. :scratch:

I got my copy at Gamestop today.

However.

The clerk didn't seem to know anything about the plushie that was supposed to come with the preorders... I may have to bug them again about that, seeing as how I preordered and... got no plushie.
Sticks and stones may break my bones...
But a giant mallet will break them faster.

Hey, ese's! just got the game an hour ago, and just GETTING it was entertaining!

Went to the store with my hair over my right eye. When I got in the line, I brought out my cell phone. JUST before I was to be served, I called the department I was at. Conversation went as follows:

"Hello, Wal-Mart electronics department!"
"Hey there, Miss Wal-Mart dude! You have the game yet?"

I spoke just loud enough for them to hear me, then we both hung up.

I told them I was the one constantly calling them, and they said "Aww, no more calls then?" I replied "Not until the next one comes in. Sorry Ms. Wal-Mart dude!"

While leaving, at a street crosswalk, I saw something on the ground: A loonie, tails-up! (loon on that side, and according to my old teacher, tails-up is unlucky... hmmmm......)

Near the loonie, at another cross-walk, I found a dice just after crossing, on a grassy area nearby. I looked at it. It was red, and all six sides were "5".

The plushies were sent a little less than a week before the game. If the store is on top of things, they should have a little "Pre-Order Bonus" Drawer (we call it the S.W.A.G. drawer at my store) with everything in it, e.g. the Naruto wristbands that go out with the Rise of the Ninja game that's coming out (or came out?). If I recall, the plushies arrived at the same time as those wristbands and Crysis demos. They SHOULD have the plushies there as they came way BEFORE the game. However, the plushie itself may not be worth the trip back to the store as the craft of it is rather.... lacking. I posted a picture on the GS3 preorder goodie thread but here it is again.

GREAT NEWS FOR ANYBODY HAVING ISSUES WITH CAPCOM!

I just got off the phone with customer service, and the guy said we WOULD be getting the plushies (yay) and that hopefully the games would be in our hands within 1-2 weeks (boo). Certainly not ideal, but it makes me feel better than I felt this morning.

Yeah, I just got mine. I ordered it through the GameStop store with overnight shipping. I had no issues with it at all, I ordered it almost exactly a month ago.

It's a pretty lame bonus :/ Well, it's free, I can't really complain.

I think the issue here is on Capcom's end. Seems it's been resolved? Not an ideal resolution, but one nonetheless, I guess.

I got mine, and my plushie. Of course, I had to call GameStop 5 times before I went, since the delivery at my store was a few hours late :zenitora:

They didn't give me the plushie. I had to ask for it, and the guy had to sift through a few drawers to find it.

It's on my key chain as we speak. Terrible quality yes, but he's still so darned cute! :maya:

I just told my mom to be sure to ask about the plushie, she still hasn't gone.

I don't expect there to be a rush for the game here till around 4 PM, when everyone's out of school, but ya never know, will piss me off if she gets there in a little while and its all gone XPPP Cmon mother go noooowww >_> And I gotta find my DS, its not where I left it XP

Damn... I went at my local EBgames this morning and the guy said the same thing, that they would receive it in a week or so...and YES I pre-ordered it, and about 2 months ago so... I dunno if living the french part of Canada has anything to do with the delay but if Capcom says so, I'll try to trust'em.
I swear tht if the game was in one of the 4 large boxes near the counter, I'll hit the guy with my Objection! cardboard sign! :karma:

Just got my copy. I'll be honest - I pirated the last two games (and this one!), so my guilt drove me to GameStop to pick up TnT. I figured Capcom deserved some of my money. :P

Didn't have any trouble picking it up, really - just walked in, said "hey, do you have Phoenix Wright 3?", got a "yeah", bought it, then played a Guitar Hero III demo kiosk for a bit before leaving.

My local Gamestop hasn't gotten the games in yet- and a pace message was sent out yesterday saying that the game would be in stock by today at 2, but I just recieved another pace message saying that it will be out sometime tomorrow, because of the wild fires. It's too bad for the people who have to wait longer, though!!

I actually didnt preorder my game. I just went to wal-mart the day it came out and got it ^_^

It seems better then waiting to get it, if you ask me.

I feel special. I just bought a copy at my local GameStop (non-reserve) and managed to reserve a copy of Super Mario Galaxy (again! >_>). Now I'm all set for the winter season. The only thing I need now is a TV.

I am sick and tired of this waiting game. I wish things could just get out on time. I even had a countdown going on one of my profiles online! And the Gamestop in town said they would call when it was in (yes, I went in yesterday with a smile and out with a frown). Why won't they call? I just want to play T&T! :larry:

P.S. I will definitely be a stickler for the plushie. It's the least they could do for the wait!

Here's the deal if you don't have your game yet (according to Lost):

I have the game, but the plushie..I feel a little ripped off.

Hmm.. so, how to say, I just came back from work and what do I find? EB called because the game arrived!... Only in the afternoon, hence why it wasn't there in the morning... But It's 9pm so I'll have to wait until tomorrow... Still, it's good to know I won't have to wait another week :godot: .

Ugh, I just hope somewhere I can get a plushie, even if I go to a random Gamestop and ask about it and they have an extra and are nice enough to give me it X_X Its hard to find nice people at Gamestop anymore, they've been hiring alot of pompous jerks recently...
