Using the Celestial Brush with the wiimote, oh lord, it's going to be amazing. The PS2 version is already my second favourite game of all time, which means this version will probably dethrone System Shock 2.
Wii is shaping up to be one of the greatest systems ever. ^_^

I spent £30 on the PS2 version and loved it, all the while thinking "Gee, with this Celestial Paintbrush, this should totally be on the Wii.". And now it is, and I don't know if I should fork out another £30-40 ($70-ish) for the same (awesome) game with slightly different controls.
What do you think?
Still, the Wii was meant to be Okami's home all along, it would be a violation of divine law to not purchase the Wii version.

Well as for what its like, think of okami being incredibly similar to Zelda in gameplay. The "Gimmick" that this game has (as most Zelda games have a gimmick of sorts as well) is that you use this thing called a Celestial Brush, where you draw things on the screen that do different things depending on what you draw and how you draw them. For example, once you get more abilities with the brush, you can draw dots on the enemy with the brush and these dots when you finish drawing a bunch act like bullets and shoot right through the enemy.
And instead of playing as a generic hero with sword and sheild questing to save the land from some evil power and rescue the princess, you play as a god who takes the form of a wolf. There is corruption spreading across the world (think demons or some otherworldly beings taking control), and you have to reverse the corruption using your "god-like" powers with the celestial brush.
THe art and animation for the game is simply amazing, and the story is pretty well written. Its no surprise that its a capcom game. (Seems almost everything capcom puts out is pretty good.)
