Nope, I go sans makeup and have most of my life. I had my makeup professionally done for my wedding day in 1999 and I haven't put on any since.

I was exactly the same for quite a few years, and then I saw the light and haven't really worn it since except for on smart occasions.

I think people look worse with it, so no.
Then again, I'm male, and it's not like I'm in a position to use any. That's of course excluding lipstick that can paint funny faces on your belly.

I don't put make up on if I'm not going out. If I'm gonna have a slob day I barely get dressed let alone faff about with contact lenses and makeup.

Yesterday I cried all my eye makeup off in the morning and only noticed halfway through the day >.> one of my boy mates held my mirror up whilst I put it back on bless XD

It's quite a transformation when you're so used to seeing people with it you don't actually know what they look like without it. Oddly enough I don't really bother putting it on for my boyfriend, he doesn't care what I look like =D

Yeah tha was what kind of triggered me into not wearing it at all. Once you get over eing seen "naked" with someone you fancy you start being a bitch about it to the rest of the world ;)

I don't use make up, because I think people look better without it.

I would use it if I felt differently.

I HAVE to wear make up.

Its very annoying. Iv been told I have very pretty eyes, and nice lips, and hair...but my skin!! My horrible skin!

I dont have big red zits or anything, but I have far more wrinkles than a young woman should and I think I look very old.

Not anymore, but I did last summer(natural look, btw, just made my face a little lighter and smoother). I had to constantly worry about not scratching my face when itchy, but it was still a fun little experience.

I love makeup!

I own a really embarrassing amount... On a day to day basis I'll wear eyeliner, concealer and loads of mascara only - but I relish the opportunity on special occasions, or nights out to go really glam.

I love shiny mac pigments, insanely coloured Barry M dazzle dusts - I will go out with 3 shades of green on my eyes, and not care! I only go OTT on my eyes, and nothing on my lips - I've been told I have lovely eyes, and they're perfect for makeup (according to mac lady) having big eyelids and high eyebrows. I'm tempted now to go and play with makeup!

I used to wear foundation.
Nowadays, my skin's much clearer and healthier, so I can go out without a speck of makeup and look fine.
I always admired people who could pull off the natural look, clumps and caked-on makeup is eeeh.

Blend blend blend ^~

I get sick of those girls who cram in the toilets, empty out their makeup bags and set about applying another layer of makeup over the one they already have several times a day. It's not cool when it cracks, or you can see an orange line where your face meets your neck >.<

I love wearing dark red and plum lipsticks but I never have the confidence to go out in it.

I do it once in a while, only to piss old people off, since they can't mind their own business. The reactions are pretty entertaining. I live in Tennessee, but I'm from Michigan. People around here aren't very accepting of anyone who isn't completely plain and redneck. I put on eyeliner and makeup once because I was going with my step-brother to his grandparents' house. They called me a faggot and said no girl would ever date me because I looked so stupid. I wasn't hurt by it. They gave me a good laugh.

Little story incoming.

I've not painted my nails before this month (unless you count clear polish). Been biting them hard for over one decade (started when I got into school at ~5), VERY very bad recently, until a girl from school recommended acrylic nails. I've been looking into them for a while then but I was too afraid that they'd damage my nails. Also they're quite expensive(, but I found an excellent studio run by an Asian couple that's very afforadble. They're uber nice and careful too so I tip them whenever I'm there myself or with someone).

As things are now, I could not be happier. Fake nails doesn't mean dunking your hands in a pot of glitter, hearts and magic on five inch wonder nails made of glass - my first ones were a very natural shape, clear with a pearly shimmer just so you wouldn't see the damaged nail below. What happened was my old nails just grew and grew and grew like they've never grewn before! I now have a nail bed I've gotten compliments for, which was previously.. non-existant. I mean it.

I'm wearing my second set now (and can only recommend them). They've never chipped, if you have colour applied as well it lasts as long as the nails do. I can do a lot of fine work even though they're longer now (and it's filed so well that it doesn't even show where the fake nail begins!). They're 50x as strong as natural nails, too. They're currently violet and sparkly at the tips - no, not ditzy :P Pretty elegant actually! I dress simply, but keep it elegant at all times, so the nails really look different. Now if I was into disco clothing and neon boots, I suppose, but thankfully, no. Two or three pieces, two colours most of the time. Black is usually one of them.

In summary, my confidence exploded and I gesticulate enthusiastically while talking. :)

In terms of facial make-up, pretty au naturale. Foundation (a sallow thorn oil my mum makes, and powder), sometimes mascara and blush in the morning so I don't look like a zombie after long nights of studying :( As KM said though, and boy is she right, ALWAYS invest in the best you can afford. I used this 5 quid powder for years that, well, while it wasn't too bad for the skin, it didn't look too swell. I'm now using True Match by L'Oréal Paris for 15, still not the top option but it's the best I've ever had. I just feel better with a bit of make-up on. I have mad eyebags, too.
And Kaira's so right, girls cramming in the toilets reapplying make-up several times a day, ewwww. Desert ground time, orange lines around the neck and lashes that resemble spider legs more than anything. Yuck.

Lots of creams and lotions. Most of them, my mum makes, harhar.

I only use perfume once every month or so because I don't want to get too used to the smell. I actually only use that for myself, too, not to charm anyone.

I invest in really good shampoo and conditioner though, my hair's sensitive -- and thankful.

On stage, stage make-up. But that doesn't count :D

I only wear mascara because when I was five I decided to cut my eyelashes and they decided to take forever to grow back. But when I wear my glasses, which is most of the time, I don't wear any make-up.

Also, I can't stand nail-polish except for clear. And I only wear that on occasion.

Everyone is very right about buying the best you can... But I'd like to add something... This is only massively important for your actual skin, I've owned countless mascaras over the years, and there's really no discernible difference between your fiver Superdrug one, and your £14 Mac one. I also find Barry M eye stuff and eyeliners almost as good as my favourite Urban Decay for a 1/4 of the price.

When it comes to actual face coverage, you really do sadly have to pay more for a decent result (ie no tide mark, streaks, general minginess) British People! Listen up! EBay is your friend for your expensive makeup needs. Not only is the really good brand stuff (Mac, Nars, Laura Mercier etc etc) just cheaper in the US, the exchange rate is so fab, that you can pick up some real bargains! Just make sure you're buying off Ebay shops, and not some grotbag who could have stuck anything in your foundation bottle!

I usually wear makeup everyday, unless I'm planning on sitting around the house all day. Then I don't bother. I use something called Pure Makeup (it's by Maybelline, I believe). Probably the best foundation I've ever used. Besides that, powder, sometimes blush, and clear mascara. Then I'm out the door. :)

Yes. Yes I wear makeup and I do it more on winters than on summers. Mascara, foundation, blush and lipgloss almost everytime when I'm out shopping or just hanging out. I rarely wear full eye makeup.
Makeup at work is rare because there really is no need to it. Nail polish I haven't applied in ages, I like my nails as they are, they grow long fast and are fine shaped without any treatment, and I like it~

Oh, and I can't live without my little Vanilla-scented perfume bottles.

I don't wear makeup. If I really want to look fancy, I put on a little lip gloss. Some people can wear makeup really well, but I get really annoyed at the people who wear layers of nasty colored stuff. And the last time I actually wore real makeup such as blush was when I was in a drama production, and it was necessary. And I scrubbed every last bit of it off after the show.

A bit...for 2 years I've been a powder addict, although I'm laying off it now...
All I wear is eyeliner/mascara, sometimes some dark colour eyeshadow. I hate lipgloss...
I like nail varnish, but a while after I've put it on I pick it all off again...*sigh*

I find it funny how a lot of people said they don't like wearing a lot of makeup so they only wear mascara. I think mascara is what I'm most reluctant to wear, actually. It always makes a mess and it's a pain to take off.

Oh good lawd no, can't be arsed with the stuff. On the very rare occasions I put it on, I tend to forget it's there and wipe it off accidently anyway.

Besides, I am most beautiful without it anyway.

No I don't wear make-up.
Here's what I think...
I don't think make-up is necessary every day. I say it should only be worn at the most posh party in your city(or someone elses). People look great without it. It has side effects when you get older, so the less the better in my opinion.
Don't mind me, just passing through.

I wear little or no makeup.

In fact, leaning more towards NO makeup. Every now and then for something big I'll wear lip gloss.

But that's it.

You're right in the sense that it isn't necessary, we're not going to drop dead without it - but for a lot of us, it's a little confidence boost. We can accentuate what we like about ourselves and hide what we don't. (It's like nice clothes in that sense, do you think people should dress plainly most of the time?) I have nice eyes, so I spend a whole minute of my day making the most of them - surely you can't have a problem with that. Sadly, I also have a crapload of spots on my neck - again, it's only a minute of concealing to make myself feel a lot less self-conscious.

Decent makeup will have no effects on your skin so long as you don't sleep in it, or GRIND it in to your skin. In fact many makeup contains SPF to protect from sundamage, and vitamins to improve condition.

I do wish I could wear no makeup and still feel beautiful - my boyfriend tells me I am - but I wear it for my own self-confidence, not for anyone else.
