The supposed murder weapon is the juice bottle, but in the crime scene photo the bottle is shown intact on the table. You would think if you hit someone with a glass bottle hard enough to kill them, that the bottle would break.

Yeah, someone brought that up on the last forum. The explanation I recall is that either it's a major contradiction for the case, or the bottle is made of a really hard, non-breaking plastic.

I'd assume the latter. The bottle is in the Court Record, and it doesn't look broken.

Unless oldbag fixed it with duct tape again.

Mabey he just picked the bottle up and slammed it onto the table in anger? Or he was going to hit the guy and then stopped. Hell, mabey he saw a bug on the table and used the bottle to kill it. Then he leaves and someone else, wearing gloves so they wouldn't leave fingerprints, used the bottle to kill the guy and left. Phoenix comes back and sees the dead body and calls that person telling them he wouldn't be able to go to where ever it was he was going to go.

What about, "Phoenix wasn't even there until after the crime?"

Because, if you listen to the phone conversation in the opening of the case (...well, read the translation of it, anyway XD) Phoenix says "Looks like he's been hit pretty hard."

In a series full of recurring themes, I'd say chances of something like that happening again aren't entirely out of the question. Especially in a game about murder, where murders can only go so far without overlapping with previous ones in some aspect.

During the seven years we don't know anything about, Phoenix has become a diamond bottle connoisseur and never leaves the house without one. So, right after the poker game ended, Phoenix had to run off to the bathroom after drinking too much and THAT'S WHEN THE REAL MURDERER CAME IN! So, the pre-murder murderer sees a bottle made out of dimond and a victim prime for the killing, and his silly little murderer-mind makes the connection and kills the dude. Phoenix comes out of the bathroom, sees the dead guy and his precious diamond grape juice bottle but not the murderer trying to hide in the piano, and calls the police. When the police get there they arrest Phoenix on account of him not flushing and oh yeah kill two birds with one stone and pin the murder on him too.

And on the way out they see this mysterious waitress and decide to make her a witness because we all know the Judge likes young-looking girls.

AND THEN THE MURDERER TURNS OUT TO BE GREGORY EDGEWORTH, BACK FROM THE DEAD AND LOOKING FOR BRAINS. Gregory

But the victim was only hit once. I know I brought up the possibility, but I checked the autopsy report. It states that the victim was hit only once.

I was talking more of the chance of Phoenix leaving the room, someone entering the room dressed as Phoenix, killing the person, then leaving the crime scene for Phoenix to get blamed for, rather than the cause of death.

I know if it's "blunt force trauma" to the head, it's not likely, but if the bottle hit the victim's head hard enough, isn't there always a possibility it could break? Dr. Grey Therefore, maybe the bottle is not the murder weapon afterall Odoroki

You know, with all the new info that we've gotten, from Waitress lady, to Foxy, I find it interesting that Minuki isn't a suspect for murder, or at least as far as we've seen. I mean, Maya couldn't go one case without being suspect.

I guess they're trying to follow at least a slightly different path as far as impossibly cute sidekicks are concerned. I would be very surprised, however, if we make it through GS4, 5, AND 6 (if the series goes that far) without her getting wrongly accused of murder once. Minuki

It'll happen sooner or later, just as Odoroki himself will be accused of murder somehow, someday. It always happens in dramas and stuff, and it's happened in this series before, so guessing that either of them will be getting into trouble like isn't wrong, I'm sure.

As for the witness, I do think she's the killer, intentional or not. She's shy, though it seems too shy.

The only thing that bothers me about this witness being the killer is that she doesn't look strong enough to hit someone over the head hard enough to kill them.

Then again, Chinami never really looked like she was the evil, maniacal, murdering type at first glance, now did she?

It's either the waitress is the murderer, or she's a croney of the real one.

Because it isn't the same bottle. The murder bottle and the bottle that had phoenix's fingerprints on would be different. That's what the guy meant.

And as for the backhand grip, don't some people do tricks when mixing drinks? I think that they sometimes pour things backhand during their routeens

I did that last night as a matter of fact. I then proceeded to fuck up and smash the bottles, just when I was impressing that nice looking girl at my parent's anniversary party. Minuki
