But I'm sure Capcom would never, ever allow it. After all, since they FORCED Takumi to write Hobohodo into the game, I don't think they'd be pleased with his demise in the first game. Besides, just going "lulz he's dead now" out of nowhere would be kind of sad and disappointing. Now...if Hobohodo was the murderer of the final case of the Odoroki saga, that would be interesting.

Okay, here's the idea; Gant (and von Karma) have been on Death Row for several years, because of a huge amount of red tape. Edgeworth and Ema meet up to confront the two men who caused them so much anguish. Halfway through his talk with Manfred, Edgeworth hears the sound of breaking glass, and then a terrible scream, and he and von Karma rush into the viewing cell next door, on opposite sides of the glass. There, they find Gant lying dead, with a knife in his heart and his blood all over Ema's coat. Maggey and Gumshoe, out on Gumshoe's confused idea of a "date", have ran off to call the (other) police.
Lana, now engaged to Jake Marshall, makes her return to court, but is completely unaware that her sister is the suspect until the trial begins. She runs away, but is brought back by Marshall, who demands that she discovers the truth; "The truth will set you free", he says, in a sentiment oft repeated in this case. Taking another character's viewpoint, Lana makes the necessary deductions and realised what transpired in that room; Gant, injected with a slow-acting toxin by a vengeful Marshall became so enraged at the sight of Ema that he broke through the glass to get at her, but his nervous system collapsed with the blow, killing him instantly. Not realising this, Ema struck out with a forensic scalpel in self-defence, stabbing Gant's corpse. Lana is faced with an awful decision; her sister, or her fiancée. Finally, in court, whilst facing down Phoenix Wright, Lana makes a "confession"- she claims that she was solely responsible for the murder. Ema, hearing this, makes the same claim; she claims that she was the murderer. Marshall leaps to the stand and disagrees with both, claiming he is the murderer. Phoenix must present the two pieces of evidence that prove the innocence of the Skye sisters when considered simultaneously. Will he do it? Can he find the truth? And will the truth really set everyone free? Only you can decide!

Method of Murder (if you want): She set it up a projector of some kind to make it looked like she was being murdered by Maya, but was really committing suicide. She did this as her last attempt to take out Maya and with Morgan out of the picture as well, Pearl would become the next head medium (but I don't even know if morgan would be out of jail or executed anyway so I guess this wouldn't work) Pearl only decides to testify after a lot of convincing, since she believes that it was a dream of some sort. Phoenix and Edgy would come back since they had experience with previous cases involving the defendant.
There should also be a part where Phoenix and Edgy start arguing like old times and Odoroki and Kyouya are completely left out XD
