Here's some food for thought:

5-4: Tearful Turnabout

Klavier is the defendant of a murder case. Apollo wants to take his case but Klavier tells him to stay out of, preferring that he take full blame for the crime. Apollo investigates and discovers something about Klavier that he never knew before. Klavier is hesitant but finally agrees to let Apollo defend him. The trial begins the next day and prosecutor is [SURPRISE!] Lana Skye, who has been assigned to the case. It all eventually devolves into a three-day whirlwind of constant, unexpected twists, traumatizing backstory, and an in-depth, gripping plot involving Kristoph, the Arumajikis, Apollo, and Trucy. Everyone must pull together and old faces make a triumphant return to solve this mystery and bring the real criminal to justice.

Defendant: Klavier Gavin
Defense: Apollo Justice
Prosecutor: Lana Skye
Detective: Ema Skye
Witnesses/Participants: Miles Edgeworth, Phoenix Wright, Trucy, Detective Gumshoe, LamiroirLotta Hart, Shoutarou Hamigaki, multiple bystanders who witnessed the incident, Makoto, a suspicious butler
Real killer: Kristoph
Motive: Klavier knew something that Kristoph wanted to keep secret. Through means unkown but eventually revealed, he hires Shelly de Killer to murder Klavier. However, Shelly fails and winds up murdering someone completely different and somehow manages to shift the blame onto Klavier.

Also, Apollo has suspiscions that there is more to Lamiroir than she wants him to know...

But really, I'm just a -tad- wary of cases that "bring everyone back" after 3-5's horrible cast list. =__=

I was trying to build up to the fact that Kristoph is an insane, psychopathic murderer who will kill anyone to preserve his reputation no matter how locked up he is. Even his brother.

To Kristoph only three people matter to him: Him, Himself, and He. No one else. So that we can get sense of just how truly evil he is. We need a villain who can make Manfred, Engarde, and Dahlia his bitches.

I'd like to see a murder take place in the Hotti Clinic with chief pervert as the defendant. I can just imagine AJ's reaction when he discovers who he's defending.

Also, I'd like to see Oldbag get bumped off in one of the cases, preferebly due to being hurled off a building. With Gumshoe making his return as investigating officer (Ema can be at a police training seminar or something).

The reason I don't like Oldbag is because not only does she rattle on about stuff that is quite meaningless, she's quite unhelpful and that @%#$ing ray gun is so annoying! I would have chosen Dr Grey instead of her, but he's already dead (thank goodness, I can't stand him either)!

sorry if this idea has been said before but:

GS5 could start with Apollo being mentored by Phoenix on being a Defense Attourney. Phoenix starts telling him his stories about his old cases and what he had to do to achieve victory in those cases. Apollo takes this to heart and he defends his client much like how Phoenix did, with pressing, presenting, 'thinking outisde the box', etc. Soon Apollo is being recognised as the new Phoenix Wright. However, a new prosecutor arrives who will prove to be Apollo's biggest challenge.

This prosecutor had studied law at a very young age and during his childhood had heard of Phoenix Wright's rising fame. Intriged, he participated in every single Phoenix Wright cases as part of the audience, listening, watching and learning Phoenix Wright's tactics. At the end of every Wright victory, whilst people were chucking confetti in celebration, he would be writing notes and memorising what had transpired. In GS5, now an adult prosecutor, he first faces Apollo claiming that he knows every single trick that Phoenix had taught Apollo.
Sure enough, no sooner has Apollo raises an objection so too does the new guy. A little something like this:

Objection! what the witness just sai-

New guy: Objection! 'what the witness just said contradicts the evidence.' Is that what you're gonna say? Sorry, but your theory is gonna be disproved before it's even brought up! (insert theory breaking revelation here)

To makes matters worse for Apollo, the new Prosecutor even found time to find evidence to disprove Trucy's advice.

Apollo! Look at the way that guy

New guy: Objection! Ah, the female sidekick who bails the defense attourney out. I've seen this countless times during Phoenix Wright's trials. It won't work here I'm afraid!

However, after each case Apollo still triumphs through luck, the little things that even the new guy didn't think of and mostly because the clients really are innocent. But in the last case, something happens to Apollo which makes him unable to attend the court for a day and Phoenix takes over. The New Guy, who knows pretty much everything about Phoenix utterly trounces him in court and though Phoenix manages to convince the judge that more investigation is needed, the court is very much in the new guy's favor. The next day Apollo takes over and both he and Phoenix realises that whilst Phoenix's old styles have worked in the past, they are now too predictable. Apollo would then find his own way of being a defense attourney, rather than just imitating Phoenix and would prove his worth to the new prosecutor.

That's actually not a bad idea. Really, going against a prosecutor like that would be more intimidating than Manfred. Having someone counter your arguments countered before they're even said = not fun.

No exceptions. in 6-4 he'll commit suicide and shift the blame onto Apollo. Heheh. And in 6-5, he has set up a remote controlled bomb to explode a month after his death.

5-4 The Betrayed Turnabout

Defense Attorney: Kristoph Gavin
Defendant: Apollo Justice
Victim: Mujitsu Kourui
Murderer: No verdict, it was Uragiru Mei(Apollo does not die, but theres no verdict for some reason)
Never Caught accomplice: Uragiru Biki(but later changes it to Iede Biki)
Before I continue, I'll explain the what Uragiru Mei means...
Uragiru means "to betray" while Mei means "dark". So it basically means in a way "to betray good and darkness itself"(Don't mean to put a Dahlia v2.0!).
Witnesses: Hakujou Chishio(a.k.a Uragiru Mei), Detective Gumshoe

We should have a 'Turnabout Fanservice', where every single character in the game returns somehow and shows what they've been doing for the last 7-8 years. EVERYBODY WINS 8D

All in seriousness, though, I just hope we get a cast of colourful, *new* characters. Yeah, maybe one or two peeps from Phoenix's arc and a few from GS4 (obviously), but the new characters make the game. I've never seen anyone complain about new characters being introduced, but there's plenty of complaints about old ones returning. Not that the creators care that much about our complaints, anyway xD

Yah lets show off my insane/idiotic ideas from a person who has yet to play GSIII/GSIV.
Ok
GS5
6 Cases
3 as Phoenix, 3 as Apollo
3 with Trucy, 3 with Maya (2 cases their with their usual partners but one their with the other)

1 Case with Klaviar
1 Case with Franziska
1 Case with Edgeworth
3 Cases with a new prosecutor (Enshye Bore (pun is he is anything BUT a bore)

The detectives are Ema (2 with Apollo, 1 with Phoenix), Gumshoe (1 with Phoenix, 1 with Apollo) and Angel Starr (she's back, has lunches as well and works with one case with Phoenix)

In this game, Enshye is a mysterious character. To start, he's only 15 and prosecuting in America. He looks very unusual and doesn't prosecute in the usual way. To start with, he lies on the desk insted of stand behind it. When he's surprised, he falls off. Only when the trial reaches the buisness end does he stand (on the desk though, not behind). He isn't very ruthless but he does Object a lot.

The first Case is Apollo with Trucy verse Klaviar. It's a standard first case but this time, Apollo is being taped by a fan off his who has asked to show him how he does it (therefore the explaining tutorial). The murderer is the person in the audience (you get a look into the left side of the audience)

The second Case is Phoenix with Maya verse Franziska. This time, it's a rape charge. I find that having them all murders is really stale. Let's have another charge for the love of god! This is where we first investigate, as with Apollo being able to notice things's with his bracelet, Psyche Locks are Phoenix's trait. After 2 court scenes and 2 investigations, the witness is the actual criminal

The third case is Phoneix with Maya verse Edgeworth. This is the final time Maya and Nick work together for the game. In it, there is another murder, 4 court scenes and 3 investigations. Standard same old stuff. This time, its at WorldWide Studio's (where 2-4's victim worked). It'll end up being the assistant who did it.

The fourth case is Apollo with Trucy again verse Enshye, this'll be an attempted suicide to start but end up being an attempted murder. This one has 5 Court Scenes and 4 Investigations. Enshye is actually a nice guy outside court, inside he is very determined to get a guilty verdict UNTIL he can see without a doubt that the person is innocent.

After the case being revealed, Enshye will be seen going home, before sneaking into the courtroom and going to sleep. The case will end there, dubious.

The fifth case is Apollo now with Maya and Enshye. This one starts with an embezzlement but ends in in murder. 6 Courtrooms and 4 Investigations. This one is where most GS4 characters return. In it, afterwards we learn that the embezzler is actually the victim and the defendant for the embezzelment is the muderer (2 crimes in the one case, both not murders) It ends with Phoenix discovering Enshye in the court after hours.

The sixth case is Phoenix now with Trucy with Enshye. This case is 2 crimes together with 8 courtrooms, 5 investigations. Enshye's past and true motives are discovered here. Before you can investigate, you learn that you can ask him 5 questions, each one with a Psyche lock on it with 6 locks. This one is where most GS1-3 characters return.

Each investigation day ends with breaking one Psyche Lock of the prosecutor. After that, the courtroom will begin (with Enshye prosecuting). It is a murder and this time, Enshye will object to almost everything he can and be very serious. Only later do you learn that this particular defendant is very important to him.

The prosecutor's mother was murdered when he was 2 weeks old. 4 weeks later, his father was framed and executed. Over the next 14 years 26 murders take place, until an entire folder labelled EB-1 to EB-27. Very late until the case you learn your defendant (a woman) is the actual EB murderer. The entire reason Enshye became a Prosecutor was to get this woman the death penalty.

After the first 6 courtrooms, you learn that she is innocent of this crime but Enshye butts in and says that he must get her a guilty verdict (as the statute of limitations runs out very soon) and begs Phoenix to help him. At this point, Phoenix knows she is guilty and helps him, getting Trucy and Maya to become the defense. At this point, you now control the prosecution, hoping to get a guilty verdict.

After winning, Enshye will thank you and decide to hone his skills to become a real prosecutor and not someone hell-bent on revenge.

So yeah, my ideas have holes but that is a summary of them.

Part of me wants to see Lana leave jail (at bloomin last) and take on the role as prosocuter.

I didn't get the idea she was disbarred, and she seemed pretty ditermined to take it up again when see got out.

As long as they can be integrated into the story with with a valid reason (Not being put in just for the sake of it!).

She fabricated evidence, comitted purjury and obstruction of justice, sort of tried to frame Miles for murder... Law in PW world is already pretty corrupt, but it would have to be broken entirely for Lana to be hired as a prosecutor.

You want PW trilogy guest appearances? For all but the most major characters, just make them random jurors that get to spout a few lines some time during the cases they serve in. Whoop!

Considering Ema is the acting detective in Apollo's trilogy, the chances that Lana's fate will at least be mentioned is pretty high. After all, they were extremely close sisters.

Speaking of intimidating. I also thought it would be a neat idea if the new guy would also imitate past prosecutors to intimidate Phoenix and Apollo. For instance he would have his own version of Von Karma/Young Edgeworth's finger wag. And for the last case that I mentioned that have Phoenix filling in for Apollo for a day, the dialogue could be like this:

Prosecutor. Uh, your opening statements?

new guy: .....decisive evidence. A decisive witness.

!!!

new guy: these were the words Manfred von Karma used as his opening statements against you weren't they Mr Wright?

....yes. But his decisive evidence and witness proved to be undecisive. As I'm sure yours will be too when I find the contradictions in them!

new guy: Just like you did to Mr von Karma. But...things aren't going to be the same this time round.

what do you mean?

new guy: I mean....I don't have any decisive witness or evidence.

What?!

new guy: But....it's not like I actually need them do I?

What do you mean?

new guy: Have you forgotten? Just last year, the law system changed. It's what got Kristoph Gavin convicted of his crimes.

!!

new guy: Mr Wright. Before this trial is over, I will convince every single member of the jury that your client is indeed guilty!


Hehe, perhaps I've been thinking about this too much.
