I just got done playing it, and I loved it. A topic like this has possibly already been started, and sorry if it has. I was just thinking that it would be awesome if they made another game. All the mysteries are tied up at the end if you play it right, but they could still come up with something. Even a different protagonist would work. I'd just like to be able to play another game done in this style.

Best scenario I can imagine would be playing as Bradley. Either seeing his past actions, or what he's up to in the present.
Re: Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Sequel (?)Topic%20Title

There's no need for a new protagonist. -___-

There's plenty to elaborate on with Kyle still as the main.

Personally, I'd just love to see a new Hotel Dusk game.

... and 'technically' the developer said we should look forward to "more kyle hyde" but no one knows if he was saying to play more of the game or if he was creating more Kyle Hyde.

=D I'm hoping for the latter.

Ah Wooster, something I've been wanting to ask in you relation to Hotel Dusk...

On this site's Hotel Dusk page, who was responsible for the Aha reference?

Ten to one Croik, I was only responsible for redecorating the forum, and one of the pics in Hyde's journal (It's the one with the Apple Logo on it), most of the admins did a pic in the journal, Anders rigged the word censor, and Croik did just about everything else. Ten to one I'd think it was her.

I hope I'm not the only one who upon hearing the name "Way In Dusk" thought it was the sequel.
fuck
Re: Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Sequel (?)Topic%20Title

You weren't. :(

I went into cardiac arrest upon seeing that.

It actually looks like a decent game, though. Quite sad that underfunded independent devs are the only people that are pushing the DS hardware.

I do hope the next main character would still be Kyle, but I just mean that I would settle for different if I had to. Like with Apollo Justice; I would love to keep Phoenix, but I'm willing to give Apollo a chance.

And I really hope that game you all are talking about is the sequel. It most likely is. That gives me a joygasm and a half. :godot:

Way in Dusk? Has nothing to do with Hotel Dusk, unfortunately. It's a third-person shooter.

I wouldn't mind a prequel surrounding the history between Kyle and Bradley when they were still partners. ...They could call it Motel Dusk or something. >_>
Re: Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Sequel (?)Topic%20Title

They can do a bloody prequel when they've resolved the other issues. >:/

Yes, please. I'd love one, thank you.

I don't mind if it's a spinoff, or if it continues Kyle's story. I just love mystery games.

Spoiler:
But noone cares about Jenny. :P
Re: Hotel Dusk: Room 215 Sequel (?)Topic%20Title

Spoiler:
Eh... Jenny comes back in one of the endings. What I was referring to is the fact that hey, they don't actually find Bradley. But Mila and Kyle head off a road trip... there's a lot to elaborate on

I would gladly play a Hotel Dusk sequel as long as they don't try to do anything new that would fudge up the already brilliant gameplay interface.

Also, give us a continuing story. Don't throw in some random plot that has zero relation to the current story unless you're going to make a completely new Hotel Dusk game with new characters and the like. But, still, that would be too tacked on. There's already so much to go off of that the very idea of a new storyline would be a crime against man.

Hotel dusk was a great game, but I personally wish
Spoiler:
That it had elaborated more on Jeff Damon's father, Larry. It seemed like he should have been more important, but all it was was just another connection to Nile, and nothing more.
I think a sequel would kind of kill it for me, I liked the ending, at least the no game over ending
Spoiler:
The one when Jenny comes back.

I think that they should make one centered around a lighthouse, called the "Midnight Tower". And you should be a new protaganist, but Kyle should be in the game and at some point you have to work out what he's looking for.

It could take place 7 years after HD, and Kyle could be a hobo.

Spoiler:
Jenny comes back in two of the endings. When you play the game without no game overs on the second playthrough, you'll get to see her face.

A sequel wouldn't be too bad, but they'd have to change the location, or every character, since the whole premise of the last game was "Everyone is hiding something", and... well... all secrets were uncovered in the previous game. EXCEPT Bradley's location.

When you finish the first play-through with no Game Overs. You get to see her coming back in, but
Spoiler:
you can't see her face.

While we're on the subject, I might as well ask it. I was wondering, has anyone else noticed the huge resemblance of the personalities of Louis Dononno and Larry Butz? Myself and others I know even make the mistake of mixing them up sometimes. They just seem to have the same slacker attitude and melodramatic personality. I guess I could point out some similarities that I noticed.
Spoiler:
Larry and Louie fall in love quickly. They both are somewhat perverted. They both have a past history of stealing. They talk slang that is sort of similar. And they both are very friendly for the most part.

Yes, it's a very common character stereotype.
