Vadras shimmered, and appeared behind Jenna, and then put her hands together right behind her, and shot her with a blast of Fire. "It'll take more than that to defeat me, you silly girl..."

Xero rose his blade once more. "Stop this! Stop it, Naomi!"

"....heh." Vadras turned to Xero. "Still using my old name, hm? Perhaps still too afraid to let go of the past? ... No matter. I will let you live for now... I must leave to the Dragon's Gate. If you come... I will kill you. Make no mistake about it. I don't care about the past any longer!" And with that, she flung her cape around her body, and she disappeared.

"D-Damn it..." swore Xero.

Xero walked off. "Along the way, I'll tell you bits and pieces about what I remember."

As they went on, he began to tell his tale.

"Okay. Seven years ago, I was living in Asgardia... I apologize for the inaccuracy of my original story, but it took me a bit to remember it all. Anyway, I was the Prince, and of course, you're usually betrothed to someone else, namely, a Princess, to become the next line of royalty. And I was betrothed to... her."

"I wasn't well known as the Prince of Asgardia," Xero responded. "Once I got there, I ran into a girl... the girl you know as Grace. She took me to live with her and her father, for about a year... I hid with them. I was afraid of Na-- Vadras coming for me. I became good friends with Grace, and eventually she told me she wanted me to go see if my kingdom was still up - and we would fight if necessary... I may have been 14 and her 13 at the time, but we were ready to fight. So we went... and Asgardia was safe. As if Vadras had left it alone after the initial attack... my father told me as much. Until she struck again... Grace escaped, and I was taken to Arsenia."

He sighed. "I'm still not sure why she did what she did... and it kind of hurts, in a way. And, I longed to see Grace again, for those six years."

Jenna moved over to Thomas' side, "Damn, that's a nasty looking wound....but it's not too deep. Gaheris, can you carry him after we treat him?" As she spoke she poured elxir over the wounds.

Gaheris dismounted, "Yes, of course. I'll need some help getting him on to Conal though."

She decimated my kingdom, and once I got to Arsenia I thought whether you had gotten back home or not. So when we all got together I told them we had to go to Moltalir to check up on you, as well as get some information from a few others."

Gaheris chuckled, "Lady Jenna doesn't want you to make that injury worse, I believe. I do not blame her honestly, if she had not insisted I believe I would have, Thomas. walking would have made that wound open up wider and take longer to heal." Jenna strode up to the riverstone wall around the town, "This is Tairn. It's kind of a meeting place for Mercs and prospective clients. I know the innkeeper, so we should be able to get a room."

The inn itself was a long building with regular stables for horses and pegasi and a larger ones for wyverns. The innkeep himself was a large man with a wild red beard.

He grinned as he saw Jenna, "It's been a while since we've seen you around here, Jenna. Keeping busy?"

Jenna grinned, "Hi Frey, it's been a while. I'm here on business actually, and was wondering if I could get rooms for seven and a stable stall for a Wyvern and one for a Pegasus?"

Frey went over and checked the register, "Well, someone's going to have to share, as we've only got six available rooms."

"We'll figure out the rooming situation."

"Right, that's fine. Is this going on your tab?"

"Yeah, as usual"

As Jenna headed into the inn, Gaheris landed his wyvern outside of the stables and moved to help Thomas down, "You head in, Thomas. I'll be in shortly."
