Out of boredom, Raikujo starts to swing around the ship using one of the spare ropes on board. Then he accidentally crashes into the cabin door and is knocked out cold for a few minutes.

Dofa lay on the deck of the ship. All was calm. Then, he heard the clashing of swords behind him. Miley and Jay were sword fighting behind him. Their swords were crossed and they were face to face. "You're pretty good." Jay complimented. "So are you." Miley said back. "But can you defend against this?" She then winded her sword with Jay's and flung it away, barely missing Alex's arm. "HEY!" he yelled. "Watch it! You just put a hole in the sea chart!" He pulled out the sword and put it on the ground. Xenug, who was swabbing the deck, couldn't help but laugh. Violet was asleep in the crows nest. Suddenly, there was a loud "BANG!" Everyone jumped up. "Are we under attack, Miss Violet?" Dofa shouted. "No sir!" she yelled. There was another bang followed by cheering. "YEAH! It works!" Everyone turned and saw Alyssa and Thomas by the main cannon. "It works!" they shouted. Dofa smiled. "The cannon works?" he asked. "YEAH!" Raikujo came up from below deck. "What was that?" he shouted. "The cannons are working again!" Dofa answered. "What was wrong with them Mr. Zeus?" (I'm not trying to make your character look bad.) "Um... well..." Alyssa interupted. "He forgot to put in gun powder." Eveyone laughed. Suddenly, the ship stopped and rumbled. "What was that!?" Dofa asked. "Did we hit a reef?" Alex looked at the sea charts. "No." Alyssa's eyes widened. "It's here!" She paused. "The cracken."

"Doesn't matter, as long as it gets done, captain! You of all people should realize this!" West went down to the storage decks of the ship, coming back up with a heavy iron barrel. He quickly tossed in a match, attaching a double-bellows and two heavy iron pipes, moving close to the starboard side. As he fired the weapon, it became all too clear what he was using.

"Greek fire, Captain! Over three hundred years old. Found it when we raided a ship of Mediterranean pirates." West stated as a spray of intensely hot burning liquid rained towards the kracken.

He had made sure to leave a flask full of unlit Greek fire down below, for Dofa to analyze...if they made it out alive.

"Aye!" West said, letting off another blast of Greek fire before running down to storage and grabbing as many barrels of gunpowder and rum as he could carry, being sure to hold back the flask of Greek fire. He wasn't about to let its secret die. West ran back up, setting down the barrels. He grabbed the barrel of Greek fire as well, putting it in a smaller net and firing it as a standalone shot so as to not compromise the other explosives. 'For our sake, Dofa'd better be able to figure out what this stuff is made of...' West thought, the flask heavy in his side pocket.

Violet pulled back her silver bows string and let go. A fine arrow sped towards the tentacle and struck through it, leaving a mighty good sized hole. "Wow. What a great piece of metal if I ever have seen one..."

The severed tentacle gave way thanks to Dofa's shot and freed Raikujo from the Kraken's wrath.

"Phew... thanks Captain!"

Resuming battle, Raikujo unsheathed his sword and slashes two of the tentacles off the Kraken.

Violet, happy with the way the bows and arrows were turning out, show three more arrows into the same tentacle. It was chopped off instantly while the arrows shone beautifully as the severed half started to sink. "YES!" Violet roared, striking her fist in the air, "Perfect shot!"

Thomas startled got up and said. "I'll take care of it." he pulled out a odd looking Gun. "More power than shooting 3 cannons at the same time but less than 5. That is my new Gun- Mellissa." He shot the gun right at the Kracken's eye.

Dofa noticed that there were several barrals tied on the side of the ship, and that the ship was slanted to the other side. "Someone ready the net in the middle! And keep a good grip on it!" He ran beside the barrals, and slashed at the rope, causing them to roll to the middle of the ship. Now, someone had to catch it in the net.

"Here!" West loaded on more powder and rum, after coming down from the storage areas. There was a spot on his side where some suction cups from a tentacle had ripped out circles from his jacket and shirt, but hadn't managed to flay off that area of skin. Blood dripped down his side a bit, but he managed to ignore it, for the most part. He was still wincing.
