Hearing Sarah's question, Jay went back into Sarah's room. "Okay, I know this will be hard to understand, but..." Jay lowered his voice to make sure Sarah was the only one who could hear him. "See this bracelet here?" Jay showed her the bracelet. It was silver and was dotted with tiny blue gems that were glowing very slightly. You couldn't see them glowing unless you looked very hard at them. "When someone wears it, it gives them the power of telepathy. That's the 'connections' I was talking about. By 'establishing a connection' to someone else, it's like calling them on a telephone. There's one major drawback to this, though. Any thoughts that they think, I can hear, yes. But any thoughts that I think, they can hear. So if I want to stealthily hear someone's thoughts, I have to remain 'silent' while I listen. If someone finds out I've been snooping around in their mind unwanted, they're liable to throw me out forcefully. And there's no telling what that could do to my own mind... Are you taking this all in alright?" Jay asked, noticing he'd been talking for quite a while.

He thought intensely and established a connection with Sarah. The bracelet began to glow a little more brightly. 'Sarah, can you hear me? Don't worry, it's only me. Now listen. Violet's been acting real strange lately, like she's... not herself. Also, this may sound really out there, but... I've seen her at other places, and she's been... different. Sarah, listen. There is more than one of all of us. How else can I explain that I can be at the hospital here, at another hospital, and at a few different weddings at once? Yes, it's true. Now, knowing that, I can tell you another drawback to this bracelet. It used to be, while one of me was in a connection in one place, the other 'me's couldn't start a connection in another place, and the other 'me's couldn't even have thoughts. But now that I've gained some skills, "I" can be in up to two connections at once with no drawbacks, but as soon as "I" make a third connection at the same time, then the rest of the "me"s cannot make a connection and can't have thoughts. Are you getting all this?'

'You heard her talking to herself, hm? Well, unless you were using the bracelet unknowingly to hear her thoughts, then no, it wasn't the bracelet. Also, you don't need to have a bracelet in order to receive connections, you just need one to make them. Also, as you use the bracelet more, it gains power, and more things can be done with it, as I explained earlier. Also... About the other room... Both Violet and Sovandara are acting really strange. It's almost as if... could it be...? They have multiple personalities occupying their one subconscious. Just like I know about both a Violet Blu and a Rosemary Blu that inhabit the same body but are two different "people"... Wow, this is all so much to think about...'
