(Actually, Harry, I've been wanting to run an RP-bar for the longest time! The Dragon's been in planning since I started a Fire Emblem AU fanfiction centered around a bar by the same name. It's one my dad's wanted to open up for a while, and since PW/GS has both the right level of modern...ness and an older fanbase, I jumped on the chance to at least goof around with it. I had the Prosecutor-by-day-something-else-by-night thing figured out with Kit before I even knew about Rockstar!Kyouya. 8D It's dorky that I want to run a highly romanticized bar, but omfg it's fun. x3 *rambles*)

She'd been travelling for a while now, and was desperate for something to eat, but she was far too shy to ask for anything. In fact, she was regretting coming into the bar in the first place.

She was promptly met with a plate full of fries being pushed into her hands by an irate Jessie. She was just barely taller than five feet, with dark brown hair pulled up into stumpy pigtails. Her eyes were a shade of what she called "just plain brown," and she wore an apron over an old pair of jeans and a tee-shirt. She was twenty-seven, although most people tended to assume she was still in high school.
"I figure you were coming in here for these." Jess grumped. "That's the only way I get any company in here!"
Kit smiled sheepishly and shrugged. "Jess, we've got a business to run... want me to prop the door open so you can at least try talking with the customers?"
"No." Jess crossed her arms and frowned. "I don't want people watching me while I work! Cooking is not a spectator sport!"
Kit shrugged. "We need a cook. I'll come back and check in later; maybe we could switch off or something. Howzat sound?"
Jessie thought about this for a moment. "Okay... deal."
Kit took the plate of fries and headed out the door.
That was certainly unexpected.
Kit set the plate down in front of Linali and tapped the girl on her shoulder to get her attention.
"Have you decided on anything to drink yet, Lin? If you can't think of anything... well," she rubbed her chin. "I could give you a few ideas, if you want."

"Mm, no, I'm doing fine here." Kit murmered distractedly, trying to remember if they had any more champagne besides the Chardonnay. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw the other woman turn red. She turned to face her.

"So you're ready to switch off already?"
"...'lo Jess. I'm just passing through. Gotta get to the walk-in- I've got two customers asking for Champagne and I gotta find that Chardonnay from the Christmas party." Kit waved her hand absently. Jess snorted.
"I thought as much. You aren't going to let me out there, are you?"
Kit tried to push past her, but the short girl was surprisingly solid. She sighed. "Jess, I have customers to serve... I'll switch off with you later!"
Jess put her hands on her hips and opened her mouth to protest, then she sighed. "Well, fine. Hurry up and get bored with your customers so I can go out there." She stepped aside to let Kit pass, then called to her, "It's somewhere in the back!"
Kit opened the door to the walk-in fridge/freezer (a door in the back led to a smaller freezer area) and maneuvered to the last shelf before the freezer area. She ran her fingers along the different items until she finally came to two bottles of Chardonnay- one of them only half-full. She debated pulling out the half-full one, but she decided that the customers would be happier with newly-opened Champagne and grabbed the unopened bottle.
She closed the door behind her as she left, rubbing the goosebumps running up and down her arms- it was cold in there!- and made her way back out into the bar, avoiding Jessie's glare and breathing a sigh of releif that Jess hadn't locked her in the fridge (she had done it once before, actually).
She held up the bottle to Linali. "This what you wanted?"

A young man wearing a dark long jacket entered the bar. His name's Chase Kingston, a rookie detective just starting for the police department. Chase is just an average looking person. Messy sandy blonde hair, dark eyes, and a youthful face a grandmother could fall in love with.
