I like the DS because... It has a touch screen, I guess. It makes menus waaaay easier to use.
Plus, it has Phoenix Wright.

My bezzie is a fool for thinking PSP is better.
PSP: It has more intricate graphics but takes years to load.
DS: It's much better in every single way!

My God! Other people actually attention in school! What a totally, amazing, excellent discovery!
That said, I own a DS but no PSP so I can't say for certain whether I like one more than the other. However, that may work the other way around. I could have bought a DS because I completely dislike the PSP out of general fanboy-ism or the fact that the DS has games I like and doesn't seem like just a cheap cash-in.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that I more or less prefer the DS to the PSP.

Also DS has several gaps in it's library (not counting GBA support). I loooove pro-wrestling games, yet DS currently has not a single title released on shelves in any region!
There's also no GTA or boxing either. Plus the PSP Burnout games are known to be far superior to the one and only DS entry.But then there's still Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, which are great. The DS hardware is more reliable too. First PSP I got couldn't read any memory stick, so I sold it. Second does everything fine.
Although it's disc tray needs tape to stay closed.

Sure the ds has more features and games that I play, so it wins this argument by default...
however, if sony was so damn conceited with themselves (and got rid of their retarded ass poilicy where no ports of games are allowed in america unless theres 10% new content... which is holding back great games such as megaman legends 1 and 2 from ever coming out here on the psp, and why capcom canceled megaman legends 3 for now because they are starting to get alittle fed up with sony.)
So the ds wins by default for having a larger selection of games that I do play, as opposed to the few psp games I play regularly (examples include Metal gear solid portable ops, Breath of fire 3 {uk edition}). Aw who am I kidding? The ds is better in just about every aspect.
Disgaea, Castlevania and Silent Hill 0rigins on PSP are eating up all of my time.
Then again, that'll change when Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker comes out tomorrow. :D

Why'd you buy a pricy PSP for just a handful, if even THAT many, of games you'd like, when you could get a DS for MUCH less with a much better library of games?
PSP is for the "cool kids" or anyone trying to look cooler or "hotter" then they really are. DS is for true gamers that pick awesome features/games over the more shiny movie playing handheld with a sucky game selection. If I got a PSP for free (which I ALMOST won one in a contest last year, but they gave it to a TEACHER with a lameass talent just because people knew who he was and applauded for him XP), well if I had won it, I was gonna sell it and buy a Wii :P

I don't like having alot of games, especially for handhelds, I keep loosing them XPPPP I can't find my Nintendogs, and that is making me very sad D=
