Emi poked her head curiously around a corner. They were there? She thought they'd be gone by now. She was always mildly surprised when someone she'd seen before reappeared in her life. Even if it was only a short time since she last saw them. She was just more used to people leaving and not coming back.
She didn't say anything to them, she just started sketching what she saw.

Emi walked into the bar and sat down in a chair in a as dark a corner as she could and still see to draw. She hadn't stopped since she'd started following him. There were so many different expressions to capture she was almost losing track of them.
Unlike at school a little white girl wandering into a bar was something people tended to notice. And she was getting a lot more attention than what she was used to. And had she not been so busy sketching she might have gotten uncomfortable.
