Well, the game is out now and quite a few people have read spoilers, or are playing through or even have finished GS4. Wikipedia has done a good job so far on chronicalling the series, but now the GS4 page needs an overhall, with characters and case details added.

I think that we, the members of the court records forum that have either played the game or read the spoilers, should help to bring the information we have to the page. That way, many more people will get informed about GS4 (CR gets linked to from the AA pages, so we may also find new members as a bonus :) )

On a side note, there are also gaps in the GS3 page, although I may make a topic in the GS3 section here. And I'll be helping to update the GS4 page, either today or tomorrow.

Try not to put too many spoilerish things in the wikipedia article. That page is going to get a lot of hits, and people from there will come here and make our jobs keeping said spoilers under wraps a lot harder.

I somewhat fail to see why a complete list of reappearing characters is so important, the article would be pretty much spoiler-free without. Also, about the names. The Garyuus are given in japanese order (family name first) when everyone else isn't. And "Garyuu" has a lenghtened "u" while Phoenix name has both long vowels written ignoring the lenghtening ("Ryuichi" instead of "Ryuuichi" or "Ryûichi").

Look at the other GS pages, and do what they do. Also, we have to use Phoenix's english name in the storylines, Wikipedia rules state to use the name the english people would most recognise.

I wrote most of the original article myself, and updated it accordingly with extra information as it came in. Unfortunately, most of the editing done after its release is random, spoiler information, like returning characters not shown before the game was released, or really huge plot twists you don't learn until the end of the game. Just remember, Wikipedia's only supposed to be a reference, not a detailed guide.

If you're going to work on it, though, I can help. My name there is the same as here.

I guessed the bit at the top was done by a pro :) Yeah, it is a reference, so we'll just outline what happens in the cases, not how to solve them.

It's only supposed to be a basic summary, or at the best, a thin outline, so spoilers in that sense are fine. The AA and JfA articles definately need cutbacks (and I'm sure if any of the "Wiki-veterans" actually took a look at the page, they'd put the "this article is too long and needs to be trimmed" box at the top of the page), both in the details of the cases and the spoilers therein.

Still, as long as the GS4 outline keeps at least some control over content (i.e., people stop posting random spoilers in places they don't belong) it should be fine.

Well, I have seen in some articles that say in the start, beware of spoilers, so I see no problem in giving a small description of the case, paraphrase as my English teacher says...either way, who ever is writing the article on GS 4, good luck on that...

Its odd. Every time I add something to Wikipedia I seem to get blocked from editing! I only ever put useful stuff on and I never vandalise, I even remove vandalism! I don't get it!

Copyright infringement for pictures possibly? I got blocked for that, then after reviewing was unblocked. Also make sure you specify a source for all pictures.

It depends. Do you have a username, or are you just an anonymous user? If it's the latter, someone sharing your IP address got blocked, so you did, too.
