Earlier today (actually, a half hour ago xD), I was wandering about my room. I saw a little flash of light, and I turned. It was my DS! It was closed, but the green light was flashing - it was on, it had power, and it was in sleep mode.

I opened the lid. The game inside was Dr. Ryuta Kawashima's Brain Training for Adults: How Old Is Your Brain?, also known to Americans, who can't handle long names (apparently), as Brain Age.

I glanced across the screens, and saw... the date, on the left. My "stamp" is in the shape of a box with the text "ZFGC Rules" in it. "Connection Rules" wouldn't fit >_<.

Anyway... the date was "25". February the 25th. And today was the first of March.

The battery power of the Nintendo DS... prevails.

Yeah, that's not that unusual considering it was in sleep mode... Older Ema

It depends on two things please answer:

1. Was it DS or DS Lite?
2. What light setting was it on, if DS Lite? If DS, was the light on?

Well, it's supposed to last long like that in sleep mode. It should last quite some time that way if it's been fully charged beforehand. I don't think it's recommended by the manual, though nobody (but me) seems to read those things at all. >_>;

I read the manual. It was the normal DS. Anyway, yeah, Sleep Mode, but it was barely charged at all, and it was FOUR DAYS O_O

It's not some great feat; sleep mode was designed to do that. The PSP can do it too.

So Americans can't handle long names, but apparently we can figure out what Sleep Mode is.

That's a fair trade in my book.

IIRC, a fully charged battery will be enough to keep a DS in sleep mode for ~60 days. Thus, your tales of sub-week stasis are hardly what I'd call handheld console magic. Minuki

Wow, 60, really? And I thought losing my DS in the couch for a couple days without it dying was impressive.

Can a DS Lites' battery stay up for that many days on if on Sleep mode?

well, you should still worry about overheating your DS...

one time, I was playing pokemon diamond, for hours, my DS Lite Froze...
it overheated...

I was all freaked out because it was the first time my DS Lite froze on me,
and I thought it was going to die.

According to the manual, the DS can last 1 week on standby and should last 18 hours with the brightness to the lowest. 10 hours at the max brightness.

That's for December.
Found it in a thread about the console wars, (that's getting ready to explode into a fanboy brawl :edgy: ) on Newgrounds.
