And Barley, too...I don't know if you've seen 'Ratatouille' but he reminds me of the chef Linguini. He's more competent, obviously, but just as nervous/awkward. ^^

I just saw Ratatouille last night, actually (and adored it)! Yeah, their motives are a bit different and Barley does have some skill with food, but Barley and Linguini defiitely have a lot in common. Heck, Linguini with Remy on his person would make a perfect quirky PW-character-with-an-animal-companion-in-their-sprite. Now I want to see that crossover!

And how do you come up with Cherry's recipes, and all these fancy ingredient names? >.> Are you a chef? Or do you just have an interest in cooking? XD lol, I like cooking a lot, but in Turnabout in Wonderland the food hasn't been more adventurous than Spaghetti and Meatballs...and even then, that appears in the unfinished Chapter 14. ^^;;

I'm a chef training graduate, line cook and general foodie -- I do know what Cherry's talking about, as opposed to, say, Foxx!
I make up the general gist of the recipes, and then Google very specific things like which variety of cherries Cherry'd use if she wants a note of sourness in the dish. Cherry and the Orchard scenario were inspired by the bistro I'm currently working in, I just applied a generous dose of PW crazy to them. And I've read a few chapters of Turnabout in Wonderland so far, love Edgeworth whipping pots of tea out of hammerspace!

Good chapter. Finally Spin gets some time in the light. The way he subtley hit on Foxx got a chuckle out of me. Also, I wonder if those dish towels will actually turn out to be a piece of vital evidence.

Cherry is a suspected for the murder eh? Somehow I have a feeling that things aren't that cut and dry yet after all Cherry has yet to tell the whole truth on why she was at the murder scene and the reason she won't talk.
Also there is Mr. Tucker the third person on the scene his testimony is very vague and also has bruises on his arms like he tried to defend himself I can see no reason why the victim would try and attack him unless he was the guy that tried to rob her before but even then he says he never did anything to her.
I wonder if they will call him back as a witness to maybe clear up the fact if he saw Cherry at the scene of the crime maybe he witness something more and is too scared to talk? As always I am looking forward to your next chapter and I have a sinking feeling that we just scrapped the tip of this ice berg.

Then again, not everything is always what it appears to be. And, Cherry doesn't strike me as the person who would go so far as to kill someone to protect her reputation. She may seem rough on the edges but killing someone would only hurt her reputation even more.
Also, don't forget that J heard a cry for help from the alley.

I don't think I could ever write an Agent (or former Agent) killing anybody. What really sticks in my mind, when I think of Agents, is that every one of them will fling themselves into an alien deathbeam to protect innocent people. No hesitation, it's just the right -- and only -- thing to do. EBA doesn't offer much character development, but that's a pretty big defining moment right there.
LaFlamme and Pathos? Well, Cherry has probably blown the value of a loyal customer out of proportion a bit, but she'll get a chance to discuss it at someone before the story's through.

I loved all the characters! You blended in the Agents real well and actually made their personalities work despite the lack of character development and depth in the actual game. All the agents had important roles, even the backup ones! The original characters (Vanderspiegle, Chef LaFlemme, Dempster, etc.) were all very nice! I enjoyed your characterization for every one of them.

Eventually, it's going to have the ability for actual storylines! It already has the O's and X's at the end of each break, so it's a start. Eventually, someone's gonna make a Phoenix Wright storyline for a song! I just know it! And I just thought, this story would go along great with a series of beatmaps for that game... Haha!

I've tried that thingie, yeah. It's a cool idea, but tapping beats with anything but a stylus feels clumsy and wrong to me. Especially on a laptop touchpad, guh. And thanks for the nice words, I'll make Lovin' Machine in Author Mode if I keep it up!

Thanks! Tempo is set early in EBA game time. A couple of the first available game missions would be complete (completed by which Agents is anyone's guess), and I figure A Christmas Wish would need to take place over months instead of just one visit, so that's the "Project Christmas" Foxx alluded to.
