Ugh, well it's not the best I've written, but I've got a temp of 100 so I think I have an excuse to suck.

Spoiler: Tak my hart.

Terry was big and crude and often he didn't realize how strong he was at inopportune moments. No one was really willing to hire him when he got out of jail and it was only by chance that Missus Mia came by him when he was trying to be a waiter at a crummy diner and he'd crushed his fifth cup trying to refill someone's coffee. When he was fired Missus Mia gave him work. He couldn't help much with investigating, but he could make coffee, he could fetch things when she needed them really fast, and he could open things for her that she needed opened. He could answer the phone pretty okay, and he could hold her umbrella for her when it was raining. Missus Mia was very pretty and she smiled at him a lot. She was always nice when she asked him to do things and didn't yell if he accidentally broke something. He really liked her and wished he knew how to tell her that. It was detective Gumshoe that said that if you like a girl you're supposed to give her a present. So there Terry was, standing in the rain, waiting to buy Missus Mia tickets to this show that she had told a friend on the phone she wished she could see. He took another step forward and set the dirty wad of cash in his hand onto the counter.
"Ugh, tickets please." He ground out the words.
"Sorry, sir, but we're sold out." The woman behind the counter smacked her gum at him.
"But I need tickets for Missus Mia." He explained.
"I said we're sold out." The woman glared up at him.
"But-" He started to explain again.
"Security!" The woman yelled behind herself. Terry didn't know much, but he did know that something bad always happened when security showed up. He grunted and walked away completely dejected.

Terry gnawed on the rubber dog bone he got from Gumshoe so he wouldn't chew on things he wasn't supposed to. He sat down on the old patched couch in his apartment and stared at the floor. Terry wasn't a smart man, even though sometimes he said something that made Missus Mia smile and tell him he was, and he didn't get a lot of ideas. But when he did he buzzed with excitement.

The next day Terry went to work with a slightly crushed box in his hand.
"Morning, Terry!" Mia greeted him with a smile. "Happy Valentines Day!"
"Ugh, morning Missus Mia." Terry scratched his head and held the box out to her.
"What's this?" Mia took it and looked it over before she opened it. Inside was a roughly cut red construction paper heart with lace glued around it and glitter that fell onto the floor when she held it up.
"I wanted ta get ya those tickets, but the woman said they were sold out." He told her.
"Oh, it's just great, Terry!" Mia smiled and gave him a bug hug. Terry smiled too.

I'll try and come up with something better when I unsick.

I wasn't too sure about the bone one myself. I had to draw it free hand. I made it mint green because it's one of those breath freshening ones. Those are the better tasting of the chew bones.

That's totally hilarious! xD I never told you, but I love how you draw the characters' expressions, they're so lively - I always have a problem with that. And Godot's expression on the last panel is just so plain cute <3 AND I LIKE CUTE THINGS.

Chocolate covered chincilla droppings. Though I was thinking they reminded me of those pellets you buy to feed rabbits and mice and things.

When I first saw them I thought they were seasoned meats. Imagine my ewness factor when she announced getting a bag of chocolate covered ones.
