Lewis M. Lahai, Defense Attorney, barges through the double doors at the end of the courtroom. He looks around and realizes, in embarrassment court had started without him. "Excuse me," he said, "for being late, Your Honor. I was attending the wake of my friend's father, I couldn't have possible made it here earlier." ((To be fair, I feel like I have read that rule somewhere--however, after searching for it (ctrl + F, both threads, for aid and assistant, mind you), I found nothing. Even so, I'm not totally sure if I agree with that rule--I'm probably just being selfish, but if an aid were to work out... well, they'd have to have "chemistry". For example, I feel that both HJ, and my character especially, are pretty stubborn about this--which isn't a bad thing, it's just being in character. I mean... well, I think that the differences are merely in title, but if you disagree, I'll drop out. Well, no--I'll see how it works out for a bit, but if I feel it's too difficult due to contrasting personalities, I'll drop out. First-come, first-serve probably doesn't work with the assistant, though, if they have such limited power--if I must drop out, I suggest HyperJerk be allowed to appoint someone he has good chemistry with.))
((Oh, and if this post doesn't make sense, forgive me. It's, what, twelve midnight right now? Eh :/))

Nah, they tell Phoenix when they see something off, or occasionally they lose composure and shout at the witnesses, but as I recal, Maya got held in contempt of court for that.
