Chronicles is excellent, if only for something a little bit different (backstories of Team Rocket and so on. I think there was an episode on Tracy, but I'm not sure).

4Kids did well to add in the innuendos when they could; spotting stuff about James' sexuality was the key thing that kept me to the show (though I wouldn't call the Flaming Moltres Costume and Jessie's following line exactly subtle -.-)

I did noticed the first time and I even noticed it again when I watched the Indigo League Volume 2 DVD yesterday. That was mostly due to his engish name wasn't picked yet for the game's english translation when they had to translated the first 2 episodes he appeared in. So, the translators gave the him the same name as his game and hence, he now known as Todd Snap pf the Pokemon Snap fame.

As far as my favorite goes, The Kanto aka Indigo League and the Orange Islands were the best and then it dropped from there until Sinnoh League (Pokemon D/P) where it picks up again. The better of the movies would be Mewtwo Strikes Back, Mewtwo Returns and Lucario and the Mystery of Mew but I have yet to see The Rise of Darkrai.

I just love how the writers are using Dawn (the D&P girl) as lolicon* fanservice bait.

*See image posted earlier.

I mean episode after episode they are getting more risque~

You mean like how her skirt keeps change lengths between episodes and her panties can usually be seen when they do "behind the character" shot?

That and in the first episode upon riding a bike...it barely reaches the seat yet it somehow surpasses well-that-was-close panty shot! Heck I would laugh on what they would do when they reach that snow city as seen in the video game. (there's a joke if you play as the female character someone actually comments you on such clothing)

Well in truth, Chronicles is composed completely of episodes of the normal anime that 4Kids decided not to air and later decided to release under its own name.

Basically they're what you can consider specials or lost episodes. Heck I didn't get it when 4kids divided Johto into two arcs when nothing was changed.

I did. All I know is Todd is his first name, Snap is his last so I'm just sticking with that.

Also, I'm happy I'm not the only May hater.

Lol, yes, a girl in the northeast corner of the city says "Eww, aren't you cold with just that scarf? Yikes!". XD

I haven't been watching the dub lately, the voice acting is so emotionless now. D: And they take out half of the original background music and replace it with this really simple boring stuff.

I remember reading that 4Kids had a few small groups of voice actors that always handled the filler kids of the day, but Pokémon USA seems to use the same group of voice actors for almost everyone. Now, character voices like Cynthia's and Gardenia's sound so... generic. :sadshoe:

I have a lot of fond memories of especially the Kanto part of the series. I find myself watching it every once in a while (guilty pleasure indeed) but it just doesn't have the same feeling for me as it did back then, especially with the new voice actors. Maybe I'm just biased because of the nostalgia I have associated with picking up both Red/Blue and the anime for the first time. The episodes concerning contests bore me a great deal, but it's still an endearing show. I just wish it was as interesting as it used to be - again, I'm probably just moved by feelings of nostalgia.

I miss Misty, she was a great part of the show. It never felt right still having Brock there but no Misty. Gary was a fun rival and who can forget the original outfits everyone had (the classic Pokemon League cap Ash had for example)? The Pokemon we were all familiar with, the original few, are still around from time to time, but we always made associations like seeing Brock's Onix or Ash's Squirtle leap into action. I guess a part of me never wanted it to change, though really it hasn't changed all that much. Same Team Rocket trying to steal Pikachu every episode. I remember when it was innovative for them to have used insulation when handling the electric rat, but they always do it now. If they ever learned to not reveal themselves before stealing the Pokemon, you know the show is nearing its end. And not using that stupid hot-air balloon. That's all part of the charm I suppose.

I read an interesting theory that the entire anime is Ash's coma-induced hallucination after being struck by lightning in the first ep.

Shit was deep.

^ Excellent point.
Thought it could be because I just numbed by brain with two consecutive hours of trying and failing to get that Mankey to hit the switch.

To perfectly honest the Pokemon anime is so much better than some overhyped animes and is less shallow.

Still love it to this day and even though I love Misty because she is everyone's favorite super b!tch (besides Franziska of course) I didn't stop watching after she left. Even though I thought May was an annoying girly girl at first but I saw her mature and get less selfish so she wins brownie points from me.

I liked Dawn a bit better though, for reasons I can't remember.

As for the Black and White anime, I adore Cilan and his brothers and Roxie.
