Am I the only one who who things there's a tad too much of complaining about this game? So lets try to focus on what we liked. ;P

For me:

The music: It was wonderful, meeting :garyuu: in his jail cell with that awesome music told refined that evil but pleasent on the outside.
:kyouya: Himself actually. I love his desgin and while I will his motive is a little paper thin, he was a good villian overall I thought, cold but in a charming way; with some mystery to him as well like the scar and the 'face'.
Trucy: Call her a Maya clone if you will, but I still really liked her. In fact I'd probably say she was a blend of Mia/Maya myself, the playful side of Maya while seemingly all knowing in court, she was very cute.
Apollo: He was very likeable, I honestly can't decide who I like better out of him and Phoenix, come to the end of his arc and it could be the case I like him better.
Cases:
How more simple could it get in Case 1-1? Man strikes another with a bottle turns into something that would set up the whole game after. My heart skipped a beat when I realised just exactly who was the murderer.
Perceive System - I liked it, maybe not as much as the Magatma but it was intresting to use.
2-2 was good, the scenes with Little Plum had me grining inside and is intresting in its concept? Why was a man dragging a Noodle stand when he died? Satysfying conclusion I thought.
I liked the Mason system, I really like it. It was intresting to play Phoenix's last case and the whole story between the magicians. While its debetable about the concept of it, I found it a very good story telling device.

It's too late for me to do more logical thinking at the momment, so take it away..~

Really? 90% of the threads I see are positive ones. It almost seems 'taboo' to criticize the game.

Uh... I liked...

Apollo. Needed more of him.

Vera is one of my favorite defendants ever.

Objection! 2007 and Search~Core 2007 are awesome pieces of music.

4-1 is a solid case, as is 4-2 and the first day of 4-4 was pretty creepy too.

I was noticing a lot of criticizing of this game too, but maybe I'm just seeing things...
Other points of focus:

-The graphics; The sprites are all so smooth and colorful in this game, and I love the way all the different locations were redone rather than being recycled from the last games.
-The fun forensics; Although I wish they had been implemented a little more, the touch screen forensics were still a lot of fun. My favorites were the x rays :)
-Wocky Kitaki. Enough said.
-Perceiving was a lot of fun (aside from Brushel's sweat of doom x.x), I especially liked zooming in on Kristoph's EXTREME CREEPINESS RAWR
-Klavier; It's refreshing to see a nice prosecutor for once, and his air guitaring in the middle of court was awesome x)

It seems like some people enjoy typing up a bajillion word essays on how they TOTALLY HATE dislike a tad Apollo Justice.

The things that made me happy:

All the little sound effects :D. Like Eldoon's harmonica, Klavier's air guitar, and *ka-tonk*
Laughing sprites
The fact that the prosecutor was a rock star
Larry (and maybe Oldbag) cameos
the fact that someone can wear a bowl of noodles as a hat
Ema's snackoo munching
The overall storyline
And of course, the O.G. cracker

Some people just can't get over the changes they made to the series. You've gotta move with the cheese.

The witness breakdowns were good, I thought.

I also like The Perceive System.

Plus :kyouya: and :garyuu: .

I quite liked the game overall. Among my favorite things...

I really like the cast. Trucy is adorable and I love her personality. As much as I like Maya, I prefer Trucy. At fifteen, there are fewer periods of extreme immaturity in Trucy although you still do see it at times (but she's fifteen and its more acceptable at fifteen). She needs more development, but most of the new cast does. Apollo is sweet and seems to have a less sarcastic edge with is rather nice (although I love Phoenix's sarcasm as well, its a nice change not to have it as much in Apollo). I think he has a lot of promise and I hope they develop him a lot more in later games. Besides, its interesting to have them really start Apollo as being a complete rookie which leaves us time to truly watch him grow and develop. Phoenix learned things shockingly quickly. Moving on, I've said it before and I'll say it again, it was a nice to have the prosecutor not be the enemy for once. Klavier is a fun character and I liked him as an opponent. I really hope he gets more development in the next game. On to Ema, okay so she was a bit... cranky is the word I'm going to use here, but I found her funny and she was truly charming when she went into her "yay for science" modes. Besides, I could understand why she was cranky. Another character who needs more development yet again. I really liked how Phoenix's character came out in this game. You really get the sense that he's grown and matured as well as really seeming to have a better grasp on things then ever before. Besides, Phoenix as a daddy is one of the cutest things on the planet and his interactions with Trucy are some of my favorite scenes in the game (Particularly when they jointly tease Apollo. The three of them make a cute family). Kristoph is a fun villain and character. The rest of the cast was pretty fun as well. There are only one or two characters I'm not fond of honestly.

The plot was excellent overall, although I felt like they ran out of time to really present the complex plot they laid out. Still, they get credit for such a fun and compelling story. The new scientific investigation techniques are a really nice addition and I hope that we see much more of that in the later games. The music was quite enjoyable as well which was nice and the Perceive system is one of my favorite aspects of the game. I had some trouble getting used to spotting the hidden ticks, but it is truly unique and interesting.

I think that's all I have to say. Overall, I think the new series is off to a great start. Certainly the game isn't perfect, but none of the games are. I really enjoyed playing it.

Well, the reason why everyone thinks it's 'taboo' to criticise is that everyone would pounce on them saying 'What are you thinking?' and 'You're the idiot.'

I'm not afraid to say that I don't like this game a lot. There are too many things that are inconsistent or weak with this game.

The only thing I liked was the technology that they put in such as the video codecs and the high quality sprites...

They managed to integrate the video playback with the ordinary dialogue system perfectly. That must've taken a bit of fiddling.

Most/all of the soundtrack
:kyouya:
Perceive is fun. We should get it more often though. Like the same witness, but changes to a different twitch.
Also, I loved the scientific investigations of 1-5 so I loved it when it returned in this one. (with more additions)
4-1
4-2
4-3 (What?)

4-4 did seem a little rushed, but it had it's good points, one being :draw:

The soundtrack rocked my fucking socks off, to start.

Also, :rock'n: . Do I honestly need to say anything?

:odoroki: . An overall likable protagonist, and I would expect him to become even better come next game.

:minuki: . She actually helped more than Maya did back in the original games.

Um, a lot of the other characters actually. I think that this cast beats out most of the cast of the first three games: some of a slight margin, some more of a WOAH, THAT'S A BIG GAP margin.

The Percieve System was fun to use, even if it was underused throughout the game.

I quite liked the scientific investigations myself, and hope that some of the same things return next game, with new ideas to boot as well.

Hmm... I guess that's pretty much it for now...

I was greatly disappointed by case 4-4, but there were definitely things I liked. Like...almost anything that wasn't a part of case 4-4. Particularly:
1) The characters. Brushel (hrm, case 4-4!) was a bit annoying, but otherwise they were all great. Ema, Klavier, Trucy, and Vera were all particularly awesome.
2) The music. Like all the Ace Attorney games, the soundtrack is fantastic.

I really liked case 4-3, except for the fact you had to watch that video and listen to that song so much. Still, great case, and if taking down Kristoph in 4-4 had been anywhere as cool as taking down Daryan, I would've liked that case a lot more.

Spoiler: 4-4
I LOVED talking to Mike again, my little fangirl heart squealed with joy!! X3

I loved 4-1 and 4-2. Definitely fantastic cases. The other two seemed a little half-assed. My question for 4-3 is:
Spoiler: 4-3
what was Daryan's motive for wanting to steal that coccon? Money? If so what would he want the money for? And what about his job? No doubt he'd be fired if they found out about his possesion of it.

I went into this game not expecting quite the amount of quality in Phoenix Wright. I was very, very wrong to make that assumption. I also felt I would miss the old characters too much to care about the newer ones. Once again, terribly wrong. I loved almost all the new characters.

Case 4-1 stands out for me as being particularly epic (for a first case, I mean). Also...
Spoiler: 4-1
Completely took me off guard, as well. I never expected that my own mentor, Kristoph Gavin, killed Shadi Smith. And then there's the further mystery of why exactly he did it, which I figured would be rather important later on in the game. I suppose it sorta was, too.

Case 4-2 was quite fun as well, but I honestly thought it was the weakest in the game. I loved Wocky, and even Mr. Eldoon, but the case itself just wasn't quite as well woven as the others. At least, that's my opinion. It was still an incredibly entertaining one, and I like it all the same.

Case 4-3 really stood out for me. There's something about me that likes these sort of "Secluded" cases, as in the murder takes place in a rather isolated area not really witnessed by anyone. It just makes it all the more mysterious.
Spoiler: 4-3
Being stuck in Sunshine Colloseum on the first day of the investigation was rather fun, especially when you knew the killer was still running around somewhere in there. It really had me on my toes, I'll tell you that much. Plus, the place looks rather creepy from the inside, anyway.

I thought it was rather funny that Daryan was the one who murdered LeTouse, though. Daryan hardly did, or said anything on the first day of investigation. I always knew he was there though, I mean, who could forget that crazy hair?

I can't really understand many of the complaint about 4-4. It was so good, I was unable to put it down once I reached a certain part in it. That part being....
Spoiler: 4-4
When Phoenix's flashback case occured, then one where he lost his badge. The Mason system was intriguing, as well. But truly the strength in this case is the way it connected past, present, and future. Kristoph Gavin was the obvious link between the three, and the case wrapped up in the most satisfying of manners. I got a sudden shiver down my spine everytime Kristoph appeared, especially at his Solitary Confinement cell. The man intimidated me quite a bit: he was just both too intelligent, subtle in mannerisms, and creepy. But, wow.

He was really goddamn evil. Gives Dahlia a run for her money, I'd say.

And that about wraps my opinion up. In my opinion, the games rank as follows: T&T > PW:AA = AJ:AA > JFA. Just my opinion, of course, because PW:AA and AJ:AA regularly switch places, daily even. Let's just say it's going to make the wait for the fifth game almost unbearable. But, after this game, I have high hopes.

Spoiler: 4-1 spoilers
I'd already spoiled myself for the fact that Kristoph was the main villain the game, but his being caught so soon had me in disbelief. I was shocked when I had to present his profile, and the way it gradually becomes clear that he did do it was excellent. I also like the fact that reviewing the case once you know how evil he really is, you can pick up hints to that, like the way he's such a bastard towards Apollo ('Well done Justice. It's almost like you figured that out for yourself.')

Spoiler: 4-2
Anything pertaining to Wocky's condition. The moment when Eldoon gets serious and you find out that Wocky could drop dead at any moment had me worried that Wocky would die as soon as the verdict was given. The denouement of discovering that Wocky's condition is the reason Winfred is getting out of the gangster business almost had me in tears. It was so unexpected.

Spoiler: 4-3
The first investigation was intrigiungly claustrophobic, the first day of court had some great tension and some genuinely surprising revelations. Lamiroir was wonderful, sympathetic yet dignified. Taking Daryan down was very satisfying, as he fought tooth and nail, and his final breakdown was spectacular.

Spoiler: 4-4
Finding out what was behind Drew's three paintings had me stunned and fascinated. The first court day was epic, with both Apollo and Klavier in full flow. The objection shouting matches between the two of them reminded me of Phoenix and Edgeworth in such an affecting way. Finding out that Vera was the real forger was a total curve-ball. Then there was playing as Phoenix. That was so sad, because you already knew the outcome, and hearing the old music again was amazing. Finally, there was discovering Thalassa's identity. The part where she said how proud she was of both her children had me absolutely beaming.

I can't say that I found anything that I particularly disliked.. wait that came out wrong....

Hm... I can easily say that I liked the entire game as a whole. Everything I was worried about turned out to be no problem at all.

First and foremost, Trucy!
she's absolutely the cutest. when I first saw things online about GS4 before having the game, I thought to myself, "man, Capcom are designing characters in AA more and more ridiculously. Look at that magician outfit. even worse than Maya's medium clothes."
I didn't think I would like Trucy that much. I like her a lot more than Maya -- and I liked Maya back then too.

Spoiler: 4-1
since I didn't spoil myself, I was pretty surprised at the point when I had to point out Kristoph being a murderer. honestly, at that point, I presented Winston Payne's profile, because there was no other choice (I will never believe Hobo Phoenix would turn out to be a bad guy so I didn't pick him). I totally expected Kristoph to be a Mia-type character and Capcom totally threw me off there.

Spoiler: 4-3
I think this case is a first in the series in terms of the scare factor. discovering LeTouse being shot made me nervous, but that's not it yet. the two biggest scare parts were 1) going on stage and seeing something different -- examining the raised stage and finding LeTouse's corpse there along with (what I thought was) dead Machi. and 2) going on stage the next day again and finding a closed guitar box with a piece of cloth sticking out..... and opening it and finding Lamiroir inside. It was scary enough on its own, but when Apollo said "two bodies in two days is 2 too many" I thought he meant Lamiroir died and my heart skipped a beat.

no other cases in all 4 games have scares even close to those. I personally didn't like this case by itself too much, but these things made it awesome.

Pretty much everything about the game i loved the music was amazing love the objection and cornered theme.
Loved trucy and Khristoph i ruined it that he was the killer in the 1st case but it was still epic
The percieve sysytem was very interesting and the forensics using was great fun for me.
All the cases were amazing
4-1 the killer identity was gr8 and taking him down was gr8 fun
4-2 It was funny and entertaining and made me think alot
4-3 Was very interesting especially all the scare factors only downside was seeing the 3d concert about too much
4-4 Was epic and loved playing as phoneix again and having the old music added in his trial even thought we knew the outcome. The jursist system was interesting and the final trial was great fun only problem was it was abit too short but by then we already knew everything and the jursist made it so u didnt have to present the final evidence. so it is understanable

Overall it was a fantastic game

loved the plot twist invovling Lumorior at the end

There wasnt really anything i disliked apart from the final trial was abit too short and it felt like Klaviar brought his brother down and not Apollo but still a gr8 game 9/10
OBJECTION " i objection this is objectionable"

OBJECTION " i object to the witnesses talkitiveness"

Oh, definately the Trucy cuteness overload. :minuki: Yup.

And the fact that all the cases were tied together with the general story.
I loved how case 1 was the start, or the prologue of basically, of all of case 4 (the last case, aka the Mason System) and case 3 - it was also tied to case 1 and 4 in some way (Lamiroir) but I won't spoil anymore.

Case 2 was a sort of a get-to-know other characters or specifically Trucy type of case.
Anyhow, I still enjoyed it.
