Precisely.Mia's done, she can't help him anymore. Why bother channeling her for case help anymore?
The intent of my post that started this little rapidly off-topic spiral was that, rather than framing Phoenix for forging evidence and going through with two more murders, Kristoph could have just made sure Phoenix stopped relying on the supernatural to bluff his way through trials, and he would eventually have failed on his own; case in point, he screwed up badly (he was trapped, sure, but he still screwed up in how he handled it) in his final case without any help. If 4-4 didn't destroy Phoenix, something else would have....
That was my original point, anyway. I'm less sure of it now.

Dahlia: still most demonstrably evil.
Kristoph: current vote for second-most-evil. Planned murder of a twelve-year-old girl as a back-up plan before he had a reason to be crazy.

1. Hook a gun up to a large piece of rubber, which is suspended from the top of a chimney.
2. Pull it down to wherever you are.
3. Fire it.
It'll bounce away, thus, hiding the Murder Weapon. Great for making someone think they "Took it with them"...
