If they became abusive, controlling, or violent, I'd have no problem slicing up their manhood.

Or blowing their brains out, if it came to that. Well, only in very serious cases. :yogi: I don't tolerate abusive behavior

I'd be 100% behind if the guy had it coming, but its not always the case.

Agreed. Maybe not overrated so much as not for everyone.

I'm all for relationships but I know that it needs to take a back seat for now.

A friend of mine who almost always has a boyfriend always tells me that dating is overrated. On the other hand, I really don't like being single XD Mind you, I wouldn't want to date a lot of the guys that she dates...

I rather get married than 'living' with that special someone w/o any obligations.... because I believe that humans have more dignity than animals.

So, am still solo as at the moment. For humanity's sake. ;D

In regards to discovery and learning about yourself, I am of firm belief that being in a relationship can guide you in self-discovery more than anything else can. You really get to look at who you are as a person and the boundaries of your personal space as well - and if you'd allow anyone else in it.

I gave it a go with a girlfriend years ago. Then I failed out of college. I joined the military, went to Japan, met some decent Japanese girls but I always flaked out on them (like come late or forget important dates... like uhh Valentines Day). I have come to realize that I suck at multitasking commitments. So I'm back living off of Veteran scholarships. I made a pact with myself that I can barely get my own life straight, why bring someone else's life down in my rut with me and complicate things further? I barely make rent. I'll just get my life in order (read: get that piece of paper that lets me get a good job, then get a good job) then I'll worry about further complicating my life.

That's not because he's a "nice guy". That's just the breaks, if you ask me. I've been interested in quite a few girls and wanted to ask them out, but either before or when I do, I find out they're not really interested, or they are but then I find out about their boyfriends(in one case, her husband). Shit happens, but oh well, nothing to get too bummed about.

No one has ever said they liked me IRL (except my friends. Who are girls. They don't count XD)

Although, some people on here have coughed up and said that they like me on here. >_>

I'm not mean or anything IRL, I'm just not looking for anyone. And I don't know many guys. And the ones I do know don't really have time for a girlfriend (I think), or they don't want one at the moment. I like talking to guys, though. I know these two brothers who are about my age who are absolutely HILARIOUS to talk to XD

Why should she be creeped out? The people who adore her are the ones who don't say nasty words as far as I can see. I'll feel warm deep inside if those people tell me that they like me too, in which..... doesn't happen.

So am on the singles path of a hobo. Um yeah, I always wear my handknitted-cap apart from going to bed or to take a shower.

Having people liking you boosts self-confidence and self-worth.

Not really. I deal with it.

The only thing is that they don't know me in person. I really would like to meet them in person just to know them, even though I don't have feelings for them other than 'I love them as friends'.

Why is this? As some of you know, I don't really believe that you can truly love someone online. I might like all of you, but not in a love-y, romance-y way. But then again, I don't think I'll ever meet many (if any) of you IRL. And I'm a bit young for that too >_>;;;

Except for the fact that none of them are in a real relationship. You can say what ever you want but it all comes down to the fact that they dont know each other, they know Words On A Screen. And last time I checked, Words On A Screen were NOT real people.

I've never been good at talking to people at all, not from lack of trying mind you, so I've been perpetually single, and I'm fine with it. I'm also very to all the online stuff, so it's a learning curve of oddness, but interesting enough. Plus I'm actually able to communicate to people online.^_^

Balrog's got it right. Even though you might love the person that's typed up on your screen, it doesn't necessarily mean that that's the same person IRL. Now, I don't deny the fact that if they DID meet up in real life, they could fall in love (again), but the person on the screen isn't always the person behind the keyboard.

For sure, Tink is not the person I have any sentimental feelings for. Velo agitates me, Bleachlover is just so respectable and adorable at the same time, Nego+dully+Don = like brothers to me, Jibo or Holy seems intriguing, xfma or Brandon.... uh.....

Its not all perfect like people see on the TV, and in movies. At this age, there are alot of guys who are purely out there to take advantage of girls. Lots of them, probably most of them. I don't let guys do that to me, so in turn they don't like me... But I can live without people like that.

Like I said in this thread before, I don't tolerate that shit. Why thats so unattractive, I'll never understand.

I just want to lose mine to who I know will spend the rest of my life with.

The worst boyfriend I had always wanted to change me. My boobs weren't big enough or I had too much acne or I was too fat. (I'm average thanks!) It made me mad. I'm not perfect! So what! Doesn't mean you have to point out my flaws. He once called me a good-for-nothing. Which hurt because I was already doing horrible at school. I felt so awful. At this point I could truly sympathize with Mike. I never want to experience that again.

I am Eighteen years old and have never had a girlfriend nor been on a date with a girl I considered more than a friend.

I only get out of the house once a week to go to my local game shop.

Whilst there, I usually hang out with my friends, who range from the ages of 12-50+. The majority are my age, though. Also, they all have boyfriends already, out of my age range (meaning under 16 or over 30), or are men.

How would you expect me to find love in those conditions? Also, everyone I have met that doesn't go to this game shop are my younger brother's friends and they're all delinquents, too young for me and/or are men...

Maybe when I actually get a job doing something, somewhere... :larry:

Well, let me tell you now.

I am not trying to pretend. I really hate it. I try to act as close to myself as possible. Probably the biggest difference you would notice if any of you met me IRL is how quiet I am. I'm not always loud, or glomping people, ect. I love hugs, yes, but I'm not going to glomp someone I just met.

But I am quite strange IRL and I am on here. And I have been told I'm 'mature' ( which I am... some of the time ._. ), 'crazy', 'insane', 'insightful', 'interesting', 'fun', 'funny' ( this only happens every once in a while ), 'artistic', ect.

And I'm really glad that people on here have told me the exact same things. It just means that I'm sticking to my personality. It's proof of it ;)

You don't have to talk dirty to be creepy, especially on the internet. Not saying that the dudes who confessed to her on these boards are creeps because they probably aren't, but I just find the act itself kinda creepy. At least fma_addict's taking it like a champ.

P.S.- I wouldn't count on long-distance relationships working. Even if there are quite a few testimonials, those people are truly patient people who also managed to find ways to be together in the end. You gotta ask yourself, can you REALLY be as patient as those people, or would you end up wanting to cut yourself after just three weeks of not being close to each other? That last part is a bit of an exaggeration, but you get what I mean.

P.P.S.- Sorry for the late reply, it's been hectic over here the past couple weeks.
