If you go to the Capcom Community site you'll see that the Final Fight fans are supporting Mike Haggar for President 08! In fact, Capcom is encouraging all its fan communities to pick and support their own presidential candidate. When election time rolls around, the people at Capcom will pick a winner from among the candidates, and the group that wins gets...something. Something big! Possibly even a copy of every Capcom game released in 2006!
More important than prizes, though, is that we can't let the Phoenix Wright fandom get shown up. Let's show them we can run with the big dogs, shall we?
Court Records is therefore going to officially support a character from the PW series for President, 2008! Once a candidate is chosen, we'll have to come up with 10 reasons why that character deserves to be president. We've got some ideas for that, but choosing the candidate comes first. Though Phoenix himself is an obvious choice, we have to consider who is the most well known, the most marketable, and who lends best to a "10 reasons" kind of list. (for an example, you can see Haggar's here). Wooster and I talked over some possibilities, and came up with this poll. So vote for whoever you think is the best choice!
After that, the campaign will begin. A site, campaign slogans, banners, sigs, buttons - you name it. We have over a year, after all. Plenty of time to generate some buzz and make the PW community even bigger!

He'd be perfect for President and it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes, either. :) He's also charismatic, tough and would be more than a match for the often nasty political scene. Edgeworth is definitely my choice. :)

Damon Gant for President! He's experienced, and dedicated his entire life to civil service. That's at least four decades more experience than most of his competitors.
He has leadership qualities and leadership skills, able to direct the whole LA police department. His subordinates and former co-workers all testify that they marvelled at his work ethic, his personality. He is selfless and wholly dedicated to his work.
He has the charisma and 'down to earth' personality fitting of a president. He never hesitates to befriend new individuals and old friends, checking on their health and their leisure time, and sharing his own experiences. He's calm, polite, jovial, and though stern when needed, never rude. Though promoted to the upper levels of the police force, he works the streets along with the lowest officers.
Most importantly, he'll get the work done. He'll fight for the greater good, for less crime. He's tough and doesn't crack under pressure, and will not fold to enemies of the free world. At the same time, however, he will befriend and ally with other nations, rallying them to the same high causes.

Not only that, but he has the vocal capacity to argue well when it comes to foreign affairs, and his ability to come back from even the most dire turn of events would help, too.
And finally, he has the look of a president down already, even wearing the colors of the American flag (sort of - just needs a deeper-shaded tie).

Miles Edgeworth: XD oh he's my favorite, but I'm not sure how great of a politician he'd be. I think he's better off as a supreme court judge.
