- Life bar being a challenge (here they kind of tame it back and reset the bar after each court session, just like the first PW)

- Silhouette of the defense attorney in the "play box" and during the left-right arrows during cross-examination, for Fey (3-1, 3-4), Wright (all cases), and
Spoiler: 3-5
Edgeworth

- Case art!! Okay, so case art was never the same after 1-4, but 2-1 through 3-5 wasn't that bad, but now they have nothing at all!!

- Only one sudden death scenario - I believe that was just the very last piece of evidence for 4-4? IIRC, 1-5 had one; 2-4 had one; 3-3 had the final piece (and a Godot "Objection!" to each one), and 3-5 had two (the last piece and one scenario that I can't remember right now).

- No penalty during certain examinations? IIRC there was one where the judge warned Apollo, but I don't think I messed up there so I can't say for sure. These were a pain, but they were interesting, and were present for 2-3 and 3-3 at least.

- No presenting profiles. I liked making "small talk" with people by showing them random profiles during investigations; now they tell you which one to present. Can you imagine if
Spoiler: 3-5
Godot asked you where his injury was and they showed the profile menu? Dead giveaway

I do miss presenting profiles.

I found that to be very amusing.

I fourth the profile thing. I liked seeing the characters' reactions to them and they made the cases a bit harder because you had more options to present. Case art also. The gray screens make me sad.

Come to think of it, Max should count.

But if he counted, I'd have to then say I also miss Ron, Dessie, Maya, Pearl, Lotta, Gumshoe, Meekins, Edgeworth, Franziska, etc.

I won't spoil it, but you won't be disappointed on one of those counts...

The Life bar. It was always, ALWAYS five blocks you could lose before you lost the case (or the double penalty or ultimate penalty) Whereas T&T had a variation in the amount of life you could lose, big chunks or very little ones.
Not being able to present profiles unless asked to...
Really, no cross-examinations where you had to press a statement, press the next statement, get new info and press the previous statement again. Those were tricky.
Too much help from other characters (eg Phoenix in 4-1) whereas the PW games, Phoenix would give hints but no direct statements like...blah, I'm babbling.

I would've loved to present Wocky's profile to everyone in 4-2 and see if they had stuff to say about him... (and plus that would give me more excuses to look at his profile pic, but I was doing that all the time anyway; I want to see what people say about him)

...So yeah, presenting profiles.

Definitely presenting profiles. Hopefully Capcom will notice the outcry about it and put it in the next game.

Well, technically two...?

I miss the case art lots, of course, and the silhouette on the buttons. That was one of the first things I noticed as soon as I started playing. xD (Of course, another one of the first things I noticed was that the "New Game" and "Continue" buttons on the title screen are slightly further down than before, soooo..)

Presenting profiles, and the Penalty Bar not being restored in between court recesses.

4-4 didn't have a sudden death penalty. It was just really really huge. Like 80% of the bar. >.>

And for me, it was definitely case art and profile presenting as well.

Thats because Godot is an ass :sal:
I miss presenting profiles too but they are probably going to do that in GS5. It happened with Phoenix Wright anyway where the first game you dont present profiles but the other two you do.
I REALLY miss presenting Phoenix's profile in T&T. That was L O L all around :edgy:

I'm going to go with everyone else and say presenting profiles. Even though I know you can't in PW1, it was still fun to do in JFA and T&T. Especially presenting Godot's profile to Dessie after the first part of the trial in 3-2, and presenting Pearl to Larry :gant:

And the fact that there is no Ultimate Penalty in the whole game. :garyuu: does like, most of the life bar, but not all of it. (I thought it was an ultimate penalty the first time since I'd made a mistake before, but then I realized it was not the second time, and was like "...Darn.")

Yeah, I think there was one point at the end where you could only press one statement which counted like an UP...

Which I think they should have done a one-chance-press in this game too.

Oooh, yes, there is. I accidentally said it was 3-3, but it's 3-2.

Oh, really? Like Maro-chan, I made a mistake, so I wasn't at full health, and it looked like it was the whole bar.

They probably refill the life bar because psyche locks aren't around to replenish it anymore.

And I thought there was a silhouette of Apollo?

Not only the profiles, but a lot of times in the older games the characters would react to more of the evidence presented to them. Now if you show evidence to people, half the time they don't react to it, even if it has to do with them... :sadshoe:

Yes, like everyone it seems, I miss presenting profiles. I suppose it was a lot of text, but it made the game so much more fun and allowed more character development. I suppose there's not much hope they'll be in GS5 now they're gone.

You never know, they could be treating the Polly arc like Nick's arc, and he wasn't able to present profiles until the second game.

I miss not being able to present profiles as well.

The health bar being refilled automatically between court breaks is an amazing idea, going through the last part of 2-4 with 10% health was not fun in the slightest.

That's when they invented them. It was an upgrade, along with the Psyche Locks.
Now in GS4 we get a downgrade.
